This is a beautiful old hotel with great, helpful staff. Even the standard rooms are very large and clean. I was given an unexpected credit for food which I used on room service and coffee at the bar, which were both quick and nicely done. I also tried the spa which is small but staff pleasant. Know the hotel is on a busy street (though convenient!) and my lower floor room was noisy and is showing a bit of age - in the bathroom where stuff is a bit scuffed, the quaint keys required some jostling, and the gym which is small with hot with older equipment. I’d love to see them add in room coffee machines, beyond tea and the small mini bar.

If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment we arrived, the service at El Palace Barcelona was exceptional. The concierge and bell staff truly made our stay unforgettable. Their hospitality elevated an already incredible experience. The hotel itself is stunning—beautifully maintained, impeccably clean, and full of timeless elegance. Every detail reflects the rich history and luxury of the property while still feeling comfortable and inviting. The rooms were spotless, the common areas were gorgeous, and the overall atmosphere made us feel like we were staying somewhere truly special. Fantastic hotel, great location, but be careful in the Gothic area, I got mugged for my Rolex watch, don't ever bring valuables. The thieves are professionals and super fast.
