Oriente Atiram Hotel

Love the location! Old world luck with modern amenities and all the rooms. Love that it had water spout everywhere to get freshwater in the hotel. Lobby was lots of fun to play cards in. Love the Antique piano in the lobby. Would stay there again

We stayed in room 416 and weren't bothered by the noise on Las Ramblas. The rumbling from the metro underneath was tolerable, wear earplugs if you must. I loved they provided a filtered water stations, one available on the floor I was on. The options were sparkling, still and cold water. My room was close to some rooms getting renovations done. I noticed they were getting wood floors. The room I stayed in had carpet. The construction or renovations didn’t bother me, that area was roped off, so I just had to go the longway to get to my room.

I have traveled a lot around the world and never complained anywhere, until now. We were a group that booked two larger rooms with two separate beds. We only got one room with separate beds and a smaller room with a small double bed. Complained at reception but they said the room is of the same type. How can that be? Eventually they agreed to give us a new room the next day. Then we got a small room with two beds, still not what we paid for. Also called Hotels.com which didn't help much either. The only thing they did was call the reception, only to be served the same lesson, that the rooms were correct! The least they could do was give a heavy discount on one room. As I have not received the product I ordered!!! So in all, our group had experience from three rooms, and with this I can also confirm: none of the rooms' ventilation/AC worked correctly. In one room they cannot be turned on, in others they blow hot. The rooms facing La Rambla are very noisy, often throughout the night, which you can predict. But we were not prepared for the noise from the underground/Metro. Frequent 24 hours a day, the building shakes and we expected that the hotel would soon collapse into a large sinkhole. FYI: We stayed on the third floor. Hotel has two lifts which are not reliable. They often stopped a few centimeters too low, which causes inattentive guests to stumble out of the lift.

Beautiful atrium that immediately brought calm after the busyness of Las Ramblas. An ideal base from which to explore this phenomenal city.

I liked the water fountains provided in the hallways for the guests

The hotel has a good location with a nearby metro for easy access to major attractions. The staff was amazing. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay. Some rooms were renovated and some rooms had an old feeling that they were not renovated. The construction near the hotel creates noise and traffic, something to consider. I am not sure if it's a rule in Barcelona, but something to consider when asking hotel staff to order a taxi is that some taxi drivers charged $10 - $11 for reservation on top of the meter rate. Overall we would stay again in the hotel, but would definitely ask for a renovated room.

The hotel and the room was perfect for what we were looking for. The atmosphere and decor of the lobby and room was really nice. We had a balcony overlooking La Rambla and it was fun to people watch. The location was great and close to many shops and restaurants and landmarks. The metro runs under the street/hotel so there were times we could hear it rumbling and shaking. It wasn’t that bad, but the first few times we wondered what it was. They had water stations on each floor which was really nice because we could fill up our bottles and use their cups each time we went out and came back and before bed. This was a huge plus for us.

plenty of space in our room. housekeeping was daily. elevator was small-limited to 3 people or 2 with luggage

The hotel is in great location close to a few great attractions in Barcelona. The property entrance and lobby is nice, very old fashion. That’s the only two good things about this hotel. Rooms not the best, specially bathrooms. WiFi terrible, it doesn’t work any of our days there, we told reception and nothing happened. Breakfast expensive ($16€ each person) for what they offered AND we saw a few cockroaches inside the hotel.

I called the hotel in advance letting them know that I was celebrating my 25th anniversary with my wife. Surprising our room has 2 twin beds!! Really? On top of that we found a coackroach in the breakfast area. The room service didn’t do a great job filing up the water bottle. Never again..

Hotellet har varit ett fantastiskt hotell i sina glansdagar och en hel del av charmen finns kvar. Dock är allt väldigt slitet. Silverfisk i badrummet försämrade intrycket. Stökigt utanför, men det var väntat pga läget. Ok frukost. Bra att det fanns kylskåp, men för få eluttag för att ladda telefoner till en hel familj. Värdeskåpet fungerade inte. Bra att man kunde hämta kallt vatten på flera ställen på hotellet. Gammal ineffektiv luftkonditionering.

Right in the heart of La Rambla - good location and within walking distance of most places to visit. Clean room, good staff, great breakfasts.

The staff were all very kind. The bed was comfortable and we loved the area. The room was very small and the housekeeping was lacking a bit. The breakfast in the morning was good.

My first time in Spain. Oriente Atiram Hotel and my room kept very clean and has a wonderful scent, Staff very accommodating, very friendly, and knowledgeable about where to go and recommendations, hotel restaurant food delicious, very close to all! Loved my stay!

Room was very basic and sparse. Floor was dirty. Check in took several hours as the room wasn’t ready till late afternoon. Very few amenities. Staff were pleasant. Not a good value for the price of the room.

Likes: location, staff, water stations, comfortable beds, near metro, air con, near shops and restaurants. The walls are not sound proof - can easily hear people from next room talking. There's no peep hole on the door so can not check who's at the door. Bedroom floor feels dirty. I don't think the cleaners clean it after they made the room. I feel the hotel is not secure enough as anyone can go in to the hotel and use its lift to gain access - hoping they will improve this. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, especially the kids who enjoyed the sweets. Would recommend staying here again.

Very clean, extremely friendly & helpful staff, great location but some of rooms have a lot of noise from outside.

Rooms very small for a twin no where to put cases ,, no luxuries provided no kettle in room or mini bar , well positioned for walking to attractions

Nice property that has clearly been around for a while. Great location, right on La Rambla. But rooms are small and very basic. No coffee or water in the rooms. Had to carry my own bags to the room. Minimal service hotel.

Not sure what it was but there’s a weird vibration in the hotel all the time. It’s like an earthquake every five minutes and you can’t sleep. Also, it was so hot. You can’t access any control, neither AC or heat.

The room was extremely small. We had no real closet, just a cabinet, barley enough room for the bed and the hotel had no other larger rooms available.

My first room on the top floor was incredibly hot and the AC was not cooling the room. I was moved to a renovated room that was very lovely but it was not sound proof. You can hear clearly the conversation in the next room which kept me awake for 3 nights. The location is great but the area at night is not safe ie red light district just around the block. The hotel seemed a little rundown but very clean. The staff was nice. However, this would not be my choice of stay when I return to Barcelona in a few months.

The location of this hotel is great. In the middle of Las Ramblas...lots to do within walking distance. The lobby is charming. The rooms are very bare bones/ basic. Clean but basically a bed, dresser and TV.

My keycarda had to be replaced multiple times, they were never near anything magnetic but still kept failing. The room can get noisy because its proximity to La Rambla, and the buikdinf shakes when the metro passes by underground.

Beautiful hotel lobby, perfect for a Photoshoot. Rooms are in good condition. We had a 4-person room, which had 4 twin beds. I think the room was designed for a king bed, so it felt a bit small. Lots of street noise overnight. Wonderful location, right on Las Ramblas.

Great location. Only thing was the loud construction. We weren’t aware ahead of time, but not the hotels fault.

Not that we interacted with them much, but if we needed anything or had any questions the staff were wonderful

I was very disappointed with my stay. When I arrived, the front desk staff were unhelpful and rude. I didn’t receive the things I needed, and overall the experience was not great. I would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel Check in with Daniel was easy and he was great to work with . We were early and they held our luggage until the room was ready. Daniel even remembered our names when we came back. He made us feel very welcomed.

Exceptional staff, service, and pre-arrival correspondence. Comfortable room, super clean. Eco minded. Efficient air conditioning. Breakfast not available. Convenient to main attractions. Highly rated eateries nearby.

We had a nice stay at the Oriente Atiram it was a nice property with a great location. Easy to hop on the metro or just walk and explore. You will hear the metro that runs below the hotel, but this did not bother us…it’s just a low rumble. The reason for my four star and not five star is there is some need for upkeep around the property. Our room air conditioning did not work and the room would get very warm. They did bring a fan to our room at request.

Very nice hotel, good service

Excellent staff. Especially the nice young Lady, at the front check-in desk (you know she is) who was ultra helpful. Total professional, polite and personality plus. She is a gem. Rooms (stayed 2 times - Aug and Sept) were both nice, very clean and very quiet. As usual, the hotel is gorgeous; and just love being there and the whole ambiance. For the first time, ate dinner right out front - and that was a treat. Were treated like loyalty, safe, fun good food and drinks ! Even bought a couple nice things from some courteous vendors. All round excellent stays. Well done. Would easily book again. Kinda a home away from home . . . . Thank You.

Worst customer service ever. They sent us a message that we have to pay via their link or they might cancel our reservation (after we thought we had paid via credit card with booking). After the link didn’t work/ expired we tried to call (no answer) and send an email asking if we still had the room but got no response. Sent another message the day of check in and got no response until almost 4pm that day (almost 6 hours later). At this point we were forced to book another hotel since we have two little kids and needed a place to go after we arrived in Barcelona. Of course then they responded really quickly (within 30min.) saying they would still charge us anyway. If they had charged our card right in the beginning or at least responded in a timely manner we would have gladly stayed there.

Excellent location on Ramblas. Can walk to port or towards town. Loved the room on 4th floor with balcony on Ramblas. Beautiful lobby. Great staff! Clean and always freshened up room. Definitely happy there!

Absolutely loved our stay at Oriente Atiram in Barcelona! Right in the heart of the action on La Rambla, this hotel is perfect if you want to be steps away from all the major sights. Plaça Catalunya, the Gothic Quarter, Boqueria Market, even the port and Barceloneta beach are all super accessible. The location alone is a huge win! But honestly? It’s the combination of location + service + cleanliness that really makes Oriente Atiram shine. The rooms were spotless, stylish, and surprisingly quiet given how central it is (big kudos to the soundproofing!). The staff went above and beyond warm, professional, and always ready to help with a recommendation or a smile. We felt genuinely welcomed.

Right in the middle of the action on Las Ramblas, we were able to walk in the old town and down to the beach area easily.

The location is phenomenal! Right on La Ramblas. If you love nightlife and being in the middle of the action, then this is the place for you. If you like peace and quiet, then this is definitely not the place for you.

Hotel was a beautiful historic hotel. La Ramblas was all under construction this year which was a shame but it’s still a very walkable area with many shops and restaurants nearby.

Fin beliggenhet, hyggelig personale, rent, gode senger. Tilbud om gratis vann fra dispenser. Frokosten var grei og variert, men ikke spesielt velsmakende. Hotellet kan anbefales!

Our room didn't resemble the photos on the website. There was pealing plaster and paint in the room, the furniture old and rough (not in a charming way. and the railings in the bathroom were rusty. Breakfast was convenient, but nothing to brag about.

This is a very nice hotel located in an excellent location in Barcelona. I would highly recommend it for its convenience to the sights of Barcelona, it’s friendly staff - and by the way a great breakfast

Idéalement placé sur la Rambla, entrée magnifique mais chambre un peu basique, propre malgré tout. Petit-déjeuner complet … on aurait apprécié le prendre sur une terrasse ou rooftop, dommage d’être enfermé en plein été.

Classic looking hotel. Staff are friendly and can speak very good English. Located close to many shops and restaurants, very convenient. Breakfast has a lot of choices and good quality food.

Breakfast was bad!

Great central location, walking distance to the Metro and to the Gothic Quarter. A little bit further and you reach the port. Lovely staff friendly, chatty and helpful decent size rooms with very very powerful showers! The only other comment I would make is that the breakfast wasn’t that amazing.
