Hotel Ingles was perfect for our needs. Well located, kind and knowledgeable staff and very basic room at a good price. When shopping for a hotel on Expedia I entered filters, breakfast included, shuttle and Gothic Quarter. This hotel appeared in the list therefore I assumed that it met all of the filters. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast nor is there a shuttle at this hotel. We were more than a little disapointed. The hotel should not have popped up as an option given the filters. We may or may not book through Expedia again but a warning to all, make sure to check out all hotels, activities thoroughly before booking.

Location is great. But the receptionist ( I think his name was Miguel) at the time of our arrival was rude, bordering on to intimidating. Other people were good. No kettle, locker on payment.

El lugar está central, a pasos del metro Liceu. La habitación era grande, pero la cama muy dura, almohadas de mala calidad, el cubrecama se veía muy viejo. Las toallas siempre limpias, eso es lo que destaco. El piso tenía cabellos largos de mujer por todos lados y así estuvo todos los días. Un día quise usar una frazada y también estaba llena de pelos. Al shower le faltaba una puerta, por lo que salpicaba agua para todos lados. Y más encima el servicio de caja de fondo te lo cobran. Un día intentaron abrir la puerta, según la recepción de equivocaron de habitación. Lamento no haber tenido una buena experiencia, por lo que lo recomiendo.

When I arrived they couldn’t find my booking. I had to prove my booking by showing email. Room was ok but shower had no hot or even warm water. Bed moved across the floor every time I moved. Any time I left the room my key had to be reset. Man on reception on first 2 days was extremely rude and blamed me. When I explained the key was just in my pocket he waved a hand and said go away. No food or liquids available. Very noisy. Only good thing was location.

It was a great place to stop for the weekend, two nights it was a shame we couldn't stop for the full three nights due to flight difficulties. There was a lift which helped my knees. The view from the balcony was excellent. The furniture wasn't new but we enjoyed that because most places we stay look like an Ikea showroom. We preferred this. The only thing we couldn't find or was missing was an electric kettle and we do enjoy a cup of tea in the morning and it doesn't taste the same if he did in the saucepan. If we came again we would definitely stop here.

The room and bathroom was clean, lots of space for two cycle tourists, gear and our bikes in the room. Having the small balcony looking down on the street was pleasant. However, do recommend earplugs at night, as evening revellers and early morning street cleaners can be loud. The location was great to access restaurants, the Ramblas, the Boqueria market, lovely plazas, and the Cathedral.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room itself was spotless and relatively recently refurbished… parts of the wall had been replastered, and could do with another coat of paint, and the air con needed fixing… but good on general.

Bathroom cleanliness was not great as the shower had mildew and the door was rotted from water damage but it wasn’t too much to the point of being an issue. Great AC unit and comfortable bed.

Very clean room with bathroom and a balcony. Comfortable beds, perfect for a city break. Best part was how central it was being based just off of The Ramblas,walking distance to the harbour as well as shops, restaurants and public transport. Only downside was that we were at the front of the building and found it very noisy at various hours throughout the night from people in nearby bars or walking by. My advice would be to request a room at the back of the building. However, we had an amazing trip and found this hotel great with helpful 24hr staff on the front desk. Would stay here again if I returned as very good value.

Lovely stay at Hotel Ingles. Staff very friendly and helpful. The Room was Large, Bed and Pillows were soooooo comfy. And the Shower was Amazing, very powerful and always hot water. I would only say, the small downside would be no tea/coffee making facilities. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Totally different conditions than advertise on expedia profile, very small room, small bed and airless room, and pretty overpriced for their poor quality, You can stay maybe only one night but I don’t recommend this hotel because there are so many other hotels in the area same or cheaper price and better standart and quality

First impression of the room …. Prison cell… . You get use to it when you open window, but the color scheme is so depressing. Very small bathroom but good hot water pressure what is definitely a plus.

Great location, just steps away from La Rambla and Liceu station. Basic, clean rooms. I was a bit surprised to find the exit door (which is also the only exit in case of fire) being locked one night when the person at reception was not around. I had to wait a few minutes and the finally call their telephone number (while standing right next to it) so I could get someone to come. This is a serious fire safety risk. To be fair, this happened only once out of the three nights we stayed. I hope they can figure out a better system (only block entry not exit) when there's no one at the reception.

Staff opened our balcony door while we were out and did not tell us. We came back to our room with the sliding glass doors wide open to the outside. When we asked staff about this they said the glass doors don’t lock. Felt unsafe. Great location otherwise, close to la Rambla

The day of thr check in they provided me room with a window insiide the building. The receptionnist are not respectful with the guest. In the afternoon a lady listen to the radio and does not pay attentions at all. I expected to get information about shuttles to the airport but the staff is poorly trained : For the concerned lady, even saying good afternoon or good night demands efforts. She is lazy under her desk. It is very bad and disappointing

The room and bathroom was clean, lots of space for two cycle tourists, gear and our bikes in the room. Having the small balcony looking down on the street was pleasant. However, do recommend earplugs at night, as evening revellers and early morning street cleaners can be loud. The location was great to access restaurants, the Ramblas, the Boqueria market, lovely plazas, and the Cathedral.

Great location, just steps away from La Rambla and Liceu station. Basic, clean rooms. I was a bit surprised to find the exit door (which is also the only exit in case of fire) being locked one night when the person at reception was not around. I had to wait a few minutes and the finally call their telephone number (while standing right next to it) so I could get someone to come. This is a serious fire safety risk. To be fair, this happened only once out of the three nights we stayed. I hope they can figure out a better system (only block entry not exit) when there's no one at the reception.

Hotel Ingles was perfect for our needs. Well located, kind and knowledgeable staff and very basic room at a good price. When shopping for a hotel on Expedia I entered filters, breakfast included, shuttle and Gothic Quarter. This hotel appeared in the list therefore I assumed that it met all of the filters. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast nor is there a shuttle at this hotel. We were more than a little disapointed. The hotel should not have popped up as an option given the filters. We may or may not book through Expedia again but a warning to all, make sure to check out all hotels, activities thoroughly before booking.

Lovely stay at Hotel Ingles. Staff very friendly and helpful. The Room was Large, Bed and Pillows were soooooo comfy. And the Shower was Amazing, very powerful and always hot water. I would only say, the small downside would be no tea/coffee making facilities. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

It was a great place to stop for the weekend, two nights it was a shame we couldn't stop for the full three nights due to flight difficulties. There was a lift which helped my knees. The view from the balcony was excellent. The furniture wasn't new but we enjoyed that because most places we stay look like an Ikea showroom. We preferred this. The only thing we couldn't find or was missing was an electric kettle and we do enjoy a cup of tea in the morning and it doesn't taste the same if he did in the saucepan. If we came again we would definitely stop here.

The hotel was very central just off La Ramblas and the staff were very helpful if you wanted to visit places in the city expaining how to get there. They dont have tea and coffee facilities in the room unfortunately and when my room was cleaned the cleaners didn't put the bedside locker back beside my bed properly that happened to me twice and there was no kettle in my either and the bathroom was very tiny too.

Location is very convenient. Close to the city market where we went everyday to eat (too many fresh choices daily). The staff was awesome and accommodated us very well. Even we got there earlier they did not charge us extra to early check in. It is an European hotel, but not extremely small like usual. But be aware of the balcony there’s a step there I didnt see and twisted my foot. But just be aware. The rest was all great! Would stay there again. The restaurant next door was very good.

The area was clean and had a lot of walking traffic. Taxi and bus service very close by as well as the subway. Staff was helpful, spoke good English and was knowledgeable about the area. The staff at this hotel were wonderful; very insightful and able to support primarily English speakers. The room was great for a quick one night stay where we weren’t really in the room, but I wouldn’t stay here for a longer term “vacation,” as it’s pretty slim on vacation type amenities (no coffee machine, no decor, etc) and the air conditioning wasn’t very powerful. Overall the place was clean and we felt safe though, the previous statement is really just understanding the difference between this and some other hotels. Great location central to a lot of great sites!

Good location and low price for one night solo stay after cruise. But dont bring your wife or kids. I got maybe 3 hrs sleep. Very low-feature hotel. But very friendly and helpful staff. Less than a block from LICEU metro (subway) stop.
