Très déçu par les travaux en cours du Rooftop et de la piscine sur le toit qui étaient inaccessibles durant tout le séjour. Si nous en avions été informé, nous aurions choisi un autre établissement garantissant ce type de prestation, le W par exemple. Merci à l’avenir d’être plus vigilant sur la mise à jour du descriptif des prestations proposées par vos partenaires hôteliers.

Leider ist das Zimmer welches wir bekommen haben total abgewohnt gewesen. Kaffe Flecken auf dem Nachttisch, kaputte Steckdosen und abgewohnte Möbel mit Löchern. Die liegen am Pool sind viel zu wenig, man bekommt kaum einen Platz. Die Lage hingegen ist hervorragend.

We have been last year and had a lovely time but now I wouldn't go back. We were on the 10th floor with the bar above which was very loud. It's very hard to get a sun lounger or even a seat at the bar around 8ish as it allows people from different hotels to use the facilities. We couldn't use the pool as a hen night from the 3 star hotel next door used the pool on the Saturday and Sunday so there wasn't any loungers.

Didn’t like the cleaning service, floor was dirty after cleaning…No sound isolation at all , heard how my neighbours taking shower at 5 am!! Towels are bad like 3 start hotel quality! And AC making wierd annoying sound. Stuff on reception are nice and people who work in hotel are friendly. Area is good.

This was a very last minute booking after a bad experience at another hotel. The NH was a vast improvement, although we had a couple maintenance issues—a broken shower head and some AC problems. Would’ve loved a king bed and a door separating the bathroom from the room, but at least everything was spacious and comfortable. A note on housekeeping: there were several days where we left the hotel for many hours, only to find no one had made up the room while we were gone.

It’s definitely not a 5 star. We didn’t get our room till 4:30 when check in is 3pm, don’t need alcohol vouchers , I need my bed. air conditioning in our room was broken for 2 days, too pricey for what it’s worth. Only has good roof top but that’s it. There are better, Cleaner , newer hotel options.

Given the prices they charge, I felt the room was too expensive. The furniture was really old, and the room didn't look like anything the photos. I was really disappointed since I had stayed at other NH Collection hotels, and this one wasn't on the same level. On the positive side, the hotel is in an excellent location and the staff was great.

The staff at this hotel is great and super attentive including the luggage porters and security. Raul from guest relations was excellent resource. The hotel is an excellent location. However where this hotel suffers is the wide variance between rooms even of the same category. My second stay here in span of two weeks, and my room this time was 829 with spectacular view of sagrada familia and massive terrace. This room was much nicer than my 3rd floor terrace room with ugly view. My other room I booked for my parents was 803. A tiny terrace without dated bathroom. We were able to switch to 123 which was a little better. Still just such a big difference between rooms makes for inconsistent experience. The pillows must be updated. And the towels are in need of update in my opinion

Stayed 2 night at this hotel. Its location is excellent. One of the best areas to stay in Barcelona. The front desk staff are excellent and attentive. Tons of security in the front as well. As for the room. I had room with terrace. The terrace was huge but it did not have a decent view at all, which was disappointing. Bathroom was fine. Closet was in weird location that didn’t really let you store luggage in there. Bed was sturdy but mattress could be softer. However the pillows were awful. Also rooms let a lot of sound in (not from The outside) but from the hallways. In the morning you can hear people entering & leaving roommates, hear house keeping etc. It is a little annoying when you are trying to sleep in. Nice rooftop and the breakfast buffet is excellent.

The check-in process was also poorly organized, with a queue forming in front of the entrance, obstructing access to the elevator and creating an awkward flow. I admittedly booked with this hotel last minute due to some unforeseen travel issues. I booked a suite with one bed and the first room they gave us was on the 1st floor had ONE small recessed window facing a wall 4ft away. The sitting area had NO windows at all.There was virtually no natural light coming in. The pictures on expedia showed large windows in the bed room AND the sitting area. We can't expect the rooms to be exactly as shown but this was too much. I asked if they can change our room and the receptionist was accomodating. But we got another suite on the first floor. This one was only slightly better. There was a window half the size shown in Expedia in the bedroom and it was facing the street and not a wall. I was still not happy with it but I couldn't bring myself to complain to reception a second time. I can't speak on suites on other floors but the ones on the first floor are not good in my opinion. Aside from that, the hallways on the first floor also have a stuffy smell that kind of diminishes what should be a 5 star hotel stay. Aside from that, our experience was okay. The staff were friendly and the location of the hotel itself is very good. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room and the breakfast buffet had a broad range of options. However, I'd argue these are all things you expect to get by default when booking at a 5 star hotel There are several other hotels in that general area and I recommend checking to see what else available.

I don’t know what is 5 stars about this hotel. It was more of a 3 stars: there was a minibar with 2 waters. 2 cocacola and 2 beers and 2 juices, 1 buts and 1 chips. And 3 coffee espresso and 3 tea. There was no help from the lobby people to carry my luggage, and they have only stairs. There was a very old man when I arrived who walled around looking like he is there to help carrying the luggage, because when people check in he just rolls it to the side, but they don’t lift it up the stairs. When I checked out there was a young man and he asked me if I wanted to leave the luggage in storage, and when I said no he said ok just go down the stairs here madam. They don’t help you at all. The room had the standard 3 star things: towels, a bathrobe and slippers, and soap and shampoo. No toothbrush or other small cute toiletaires. This hotel is very proud of their view and swing in the reception, buts its all they have to offer. The breakfast os 30 eur per person, so relax, this is what you get at a dinner for 2 people with starters and a main. I enjoyed the bed and the pillows, very comfortable, but this hotel was definitely not worth my montly house rent for the night.
I don’t know what is 5 stars about this hotel. It was more of a 3 stars: there was a minibar with 2 waters. 2 cocacola and 2 beers and 2 juices, 1 buts and 1 chips. And 3 coffee espresso and 3 tea. There was no help from the lobby people to carry my luggage, and they have only stairs. There was a very old man when I arrived who walled around looking like he is there to help carrying the luggage, because when people check in he just rolls it to the side, but they don’t lift it up the stairs. When I checked out there was a young man and he asked me if I wanted to leave the luggage in storage, and when I said no he said ok just go down the stairs here madam. They don’t help you at all. The room had the standard 3 star things: towels, a bathrobe and slippers, and soap and shampoo. No toothbrush or other small cute toiletaires. This hotel is very proud of their view and swing in the reception, buts its all they have to offer. The breakfast os 30 eur per person, so relax, this is what you get at a dinner for 2 people with starters and a main. I enjoyed the bed and the pillows, very comfortable, but this hotel was definitely not worth my montly house rent for the night.

The location of the hotel is quite good, but the service attitude of the staff was truly shocking. The front desk staff were impatient, indifferent, and even mocked the guests. This is the first time in my life I have ever encountered such treatment. Before choosing this hotel, we had read reviews and carefully compared different options before deciding to stay here. We stayed here for 3 nights in July. My only gripe was that we arrived at 3pm on the dot for check in and couldn’t get into our rooms until around 4.15pm. We had to wait in the hot lobby for 30 mins with constant promises of it will be ready in 5 mins before we were offered some vouchers for a drink at the rooftop bar. Aside from this the hotel is great - best bit is the location which is spot on for exploring Barca

We had the most amazing stay! We arrived an early to check in due to our flight, the room was not ready (as we expected) but they gave us a voucher for a free drink while we waited! Every staff member went above & beyond, &we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect location. We would definitely stay again.

A equipe foi extremamente gentil, especialmente a Maria. O hotel tem a melhor localização possível, perto de lojas, restaurantes e de pontos turísticos, como a casa Milà e Batlló. Também tem ponto de taxi perto o que facilita o transporte. Infelizmente não tivemos a melhor experiência na acomodação, nosso quarto estava com um vazamento enorme que encharcou todo o piso, o que foi muito desagradável.

Samira at the front desk was amazing. Warm, friendly and very helpful. I don’t like elevators and she went out of her way to get me a room on a lower floor so I could take stairs. She is the reason I chose to stay again when we come back to Barcelona in a week!

Perfect location on Las Ramblas, one of the most famous streets in Barcelona with easy access to high end shopping, the city market and great restaurants. It's central location makes it convemient to get to any location in Barcelona. Fantastic views of the city from the awesome rooftop pool and bar, including Sagrada Familia in the distance. This will be my first choice Hotel whenever I visit Barcelona again.

Stayed 2 night at this hotel. Its location is excellent. One of the best areas to stay in Barcelona. The front desk staff are excellent and attentive. Tons of security in the front as well. As for the room. I had room with terrace. The terrace was huge but it did not have a decent view at all, which was disappointing. Bathroom was fine. Closet was in weird location that didn’t really let you store luggage in there. Bed was sturdy but mattress could be softer. However the pillows were awful. Also rooms let a lot of sound in (not from The outside) but from the hallways. In the morning you can hear people entering & leaving roommates, hear house keeping etc. It is a little annoying when you are trying to sleep in. Nice rooftop and the breakfast buffet is excellent.

Le service au bar au dernier étage de l’hôtel est extrêmement mauvais. Lors de ma visite le service était long très long j’ai dû me déplacé à plusieurs reprise les toilettes étaient d’une hygiène désastreuse. Le bar qui dispose d’une vue incroyable n’est pas à la hauteur de l’hôtel

Gut gelegenes Hotel mit vielfältiger Frühstücksauswahl. Freundliche Mitarbeiter und schöner Dachterrasse & Bar. Zimmer etwas Klein mit Nespresso Maschine. Gute Dicke Handtücher. Betten schön straff gefedert. 5 Aufzüge vermeiden langes warten. Einziger Kritikpunkt beim Frühstück geht schonmal das Besteck aus, sowas sollte nicht passieren und in ausreichender Form vorhanden sein oder nachgelegt werden. Ansonsten wirklich empfehlenswert !

We had the best experience ever in the NH Collection Calderon in Barcelona. They have the best breakfast I have seen in a while, stuffed with fresh cut fruit, all kind of eggs, Catalan specialties, sweets, bread and even a morning salad bar with the most amazing guacamole! The smoothies and fresh juices are exceptional, no powdered juices here! The hotel is well located near the Catalunya square where you can take a metro or one of the hop on buses, or visit the old town. The hotel also has an amazing view from the rooftop pool and bar, excellent to spend a relaxing afternoon, enjoying a drink or some tasty bites. Although a little small, the rooms are nicely decorated, very clean, yet with, in our case, a rather unpractical bathroom with a good walk in rain-shower. All in all it’s one of those places where they do go the extra mile as to accommodate their guests, with a special thanks to Javier who made our stay something extraordinary.

We booked two rooms and were traveling with my elderly parents. Unfortunately this experience was not a 5-star experience at all. My parents are used to having English breakfast tea with hot milk and we're used to our hotels getting it right... clearly not the case here. Other issues: Toilet rolls not stocked, cleaning so-so, in-room dining very sub-par, breakfast buffet with cold pancakes and crepes and cold everything. Excruciatingly slow in-room service for old parents. I could go on but honestly, it's the little things that make a 5-star a 5-star and this was not the sort of experience we're accustomed to. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're out of other 5-star options in the area.
