The rooms are very small, as are the two elevators, only two persons at a time in the elevator, when we saw our room we asked for a larger one but were told all rooms are the same size, hardly any room to put our suitcases, the bathroom is spacious and the shower was good The staff were very nice and the breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot food, pastries fruits cereal etc, there is a pool on the top floor and a bar area too, the area itself is just off the Ramblas and there’s a large police presence at night, we were told to be careful if walking around the area at night but we didn’t have any trouble , apart from the size of the room we enjoyed our stay

Close to Liceu metro station and Las Rambla. Plenty of supermarkets, cafe and restaurants around the hotel. Pool bar lovely. Only complaint is the lift, slow, only one and can wait ages.

Great location, great breakfast Nice pool area, but need more chairs. Difficult to get transportation because of las rambles, best to just walk out there and hail one down.

Absolutely perfect location. Hotel was lovely and comfortable but didn’t have food so can’t comment. The pool is more a child’s dip pull. Not great if that’s what you need when you get there

Decent hotel in a good location. Very close to La Rambla. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, and the staff are very efficient. Our room was quite small, however the bed was huge and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely. Cleaning was very good too. We used the rooftop pool a couple of times, which was great. The bar area was also fab, as were the cocktails. The hotel is very close to La Boqueria food market which was great for breakfast snacks. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Leonardo Las Ramblas hotel for 1 night after a cruise. Check in went smoothly, the luggage storage available for €2 per locker was appreciated as we arrived early in the morning and departed in the early evening the next day. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean - we saw their staff cleaning the public areas regularly, and our room was immaculate. The room was great & had a comfortable bed. Short walking distance to Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. We would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel is nearby the Ramblas and the mercato la Boqueria. The room was very nice and large. We had a great terrace which we used every evening to chill out. Overall, the hotel is small but nice. They could work on the cleanliness. The breakfast is good and the staff very friendly

Disappointed stay. Very rude staff. Very dirty rooms. Stayed 6 nights. They leave the dust everywhere. They made beds and thats it. The front office lady was very rude. She vlaimed my mo ey was fake even when she dont have anything to check it with. DO not recommend

We arrived an hour and a half before check-in and would have loved to have been offered early check in. The female attendant at the time pointed us to luggage storage and basically said see you at 3:00. The rooms look much bigger in the photos than ours was, and you could barely turn around in the bathroom. That said, the room was clean and the daily breakfast was great! The location was central and walking distance to several attractions.

Room was small but very nice and clean! The only flaw was the shower was tiny, a bigger than average person would be very uncomfortable showering. Breakfast buffet was great! And rooftop pool and bar are so nice!! Plenty of room to sunbathe! Front desk was nice for the most part! Overall very nice stay, would definitely consider staying there again!

An extremely cute and nice property close to the hustle and bustle on a side quieter street. They accomodated an early check in, staff was super friendly. We had a super nice, spacious room with two balconies. Highly recommend.

We chose the Leonardo as we have stayed at them in other cities. Overall, the hotel was fine, but the restaurant was only open for breakfast which was disappointing. The staff were courteous and helpful. The location was excellent in terms of las Ramblas, with plentiful restaurants and bars. My only negative against the hotel has to do with the actual room. It was an economy room and had to be the smallest room I have ever stayed in, maybe 100 square feet. No chair, no fridge etc. You needed to move the night table to access half of the small closet. Accessing the far side of the bed required you to shimmy sideways to fit between the bed and the Television. My wife actually bruised her shoulder trying to get past during the night. Other rooms would definitely be a better choice.

This was a nice hotel for a city break and its exactly as other people have described so i will do the same. Location is okay in terms of about a 5 min walk to the main strip of las ramblas however is in a very dodgy location which is probably what brings the star review down because there isnt much else wrong. In saying this we had absolutely 0 issues with anything or anyone but locals did warn us not to venture back to late at night as unfortunately tourist aren't the most popular at the moment as well reported. Staff were brilliant and were a credit to themselves and food was great.

The property is in a good location and accessible to public transportation. However I did not get what I booked with Expedia. I booked 2 rooms and wanted balconies. I got 1 room with a balcony and the other room was 3 flights away and no balcony. It was smaller as well. I asked for rooms together and balconies. Check-in staff stated that the reservation was not booked together and no balcony was requested for the second room. I had booking evidence but they didn't care. They said there would be no rooms available for 2-3 days and to check back. They did nothing to try to accommodate my requests and said it was up to me to keep checking. I do believe that it is their responsibility to reserve a room that I booked and not my responsibility to check back each day. Poor customer service here.

We loved our city break staying at the Leonardo Hotel.. Excellent staff.. Brilliant choices at breakfast… The most comfortable bed in a great room with a small balcony… A powerful shower too.. Excellent room service .. the room was cleaned every day

Great place to stay.Nice hotel, location, great staff especially receptionists Francisco and Joseph and food staff Odessa,I enjoyed the breakfast buffet too.This is one of the hotels to consider if you’re planning a trip to Barcelona. For sure I will stay in this hotel again

A short walk from Las Ramblas, but on a relatively quiet street, it was easy to head out to see all Barcelona has to offer and still get a good night's sleep. Well equipped room with comfy bed, air con, fridge, safe, kettle, tea/coffee/water, hairdryer, shower gel, small balcony. Traditional building. Nice rooftop bar and pool. Very friendly helpful staff, who assisted when my husband lost his phone.

Disappointed stay. Very rude staff. Very dirty rooms. Stayed 6 nights. They leave the dust everywhere. They made beds and thats it. The front office lady was very rude. She vlaimed my mo ey was fake even when she dont have anything to check it with. DO not recommend

Location is great for a first time visitor to Barcelona as it’s a couple of blocks off La Rambla, close to the Bodega Market and easy access to the Metro. 10-15 minute walk to the Gothic area, Born and Plaza Cataluña where you can get the Hop on Hop off bus. Breakfast was very good with many choices and the staff was excellent. The facility is an older hotel that was renovated and small but comfortable. If you stay in the area walking towards La Rambla and over to the Gothic area there is lots to see and do. If you leave the Hotel and walk a few blocks in the opposite direction, it gets a little “sketchy”. Would personally avoid as we felt uncomfortable as first time visitors.

Staff was generally nice and the room was clean. But the neighborhood is not too convenient as far as taking taxi is concerned. Property location is very close to Las Ramblas and Boqueria market but you sometimes have to paas thru narrow alleys to get there. I suggest checking the location and the neighborhood first to see if it suit your needs and your preferred ambience.

Wir waren mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden und würden es auch noch einmal buchen. Es war sehr zentral gelegen. An einigen Ecken merkt man dass es etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist aber im Großen und Ganzen hatten wir einen wirklich schönes Zimmer und die Frühstücksauswahl war auch wirklich sehr gut. Das einzige negative war dass die Tische morgens beim Frühstück sehr nah beieinander standen und man konnte sich wirklich nicht unterhalten ohne das eine wirklich alles mitbekommen hat oder ich zwangsläufig auch alle Gespräche der nebentische mitzuhören konnte. Auch war die Klimaanlage teilweise sehr stark eingestellt dass ich eigentlich immer mit einer Jacke beim Frühstück gesessen habe. Aber das ist ja dann auf hohem Niveau. Gutes Hotel das 2 Min von der Rambla und der Markthalle entfernt ist. Supermarkt ist auch in der Strasse. Metro auch 4 Gehminuten entfernt. Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit an der Rezeption. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Prima hotel gelegen vlak bij de Ramblas in het centrum van Barcelona. Receptie permanent bezet. Ontbijt is uitstekend en gevarieerd. Kamers zijn niet erg groot, en met name de badkamer zou wel een update kunnen gebruiken. Kamers worden prima schoongemaakt. Roomservice wordt uitbesteed en laat sterk te wensen over, eten meer dan 1,5 uur te laat geleverd en alles koud, dus weggegooid.

I’ll write a review later once I return home from holiday & which thankfully continues on at a far better property in terms of quality & very impirtantky decent customer service which this hotel sadly lacks in fir done of its staff & in particular one of its managers Mark. Extremely disappointing & not what I expect at all of Leonardo. Because if his behaviour towards me alone, let alone anything else I would not recommend AT ALL! I will be making a formal complaint as well & once I’ve enjoyed the rest of my holiday.

Nice hotel with a rooftop pool - very good for Barcelona - the area is not the best but it’s ok. Only gripes were the lifts and which had a mind of its own and the showers ovss was flowed in both our and our friends room - maintenance came but made no difference.
