Great location — less than 10 mins to the metro and La Boqueria Market, 20 mins to the port, and about 30 mins to the beach. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was included, simple but decent — just go before 10 a.m. for the best selection. We had an issue with the room safe, but maintenance arrived within 5 mins and resolved it quickly. One downside: there was no shower curtain, so water splashed out of the bathtub, leaving the floor quite wet after showers. The lifts are also a problem — only two small ones, each holding 3 people max, so waits can be long. I mostly used the stairs. Not ideal if you have lots of luggage or mobility issues. There’s a luggage room for before check-in and after check-out, but it’s not monitored and guests often don’t close it properly. Overall, a good stay for the location and service — just a few things to be aware of.

Hoog in het gebouw had ik een heerlijk uitzicht over geheel Barcelona. Neem de slome lift voor lief. Verrassend goed ontbijtbuffet voor deze prijs. Schoonmaak was onregelmatig.

We could not check in before 2pm like some other properties even for a fee. The balcony door to the room does not lock. I have never stayed in a hotel where the balcony door did not lock. The luggage can be dropped off to be held prior to check in but in a storage room that other people have access to. There was no one to safe guard the luggage. Other hotels have a concierge or someone to accept the luggage to hold and issue luggage receipts for pick up. We were leery about sleeping in a room with an unlocked balcony door which I did not book a room with a balcony, only with a window view. Because we did not want to leave our luggage in the unattended storage room, we waited until 2pm to check in. It was a dreadful experience. The public men’s bathroom by the lobby was filthy according to my husband. As New Yorkers, we are more careful about things. We were not expecting this experience.

Great location. Had a room on the 8th floor with amazing views. However, there was only one working elevator when we were leaving. We had to wait 30 minutes for the elevator. We couldn’t use the stairs as we had two large suitcases.

Kamer was vies, haten en pluizen op de vloer van de badkamer. Behang los, veel verfschade, airco en wifi werkt niet. De bedden waren dramatisch. Doorgesleten hoezen van de matrassen. Je keek zo tegen de kapotte vering aan. De veren van het matras voelde je als je op het matras lag. Verouderd hotel! Ontbijt was voldoende en personeel was vriendelijk.

We arrived well before check-in time at same time as many other travellers. Great greeting and we were ushered into a waiting area for a few minutes. Checkin done efficiently and allowed to store luggage until check-in time. Room was very clean with very well appointed bathroom. Friendly staff helped us with issues with the safe. Great view of the street from our room and lots of shopping and restaurants very close by. Only issue we had was the limited amount (1) of outlets in the room which was a challenge for our number of chargers. A small power bar would be a great add to the room. Breakfast was an extensive Continental with good choices of meat, dairy, and fruit. All we needed to get going. Front desk staff always ready to help with advice and tips. Would definately come again,.

Location is good. Close to transit. Beds were good. Breakfast was good. Lack of air con in the room was an issue for us and no vents/windows for the bathroom. We only stayed 1 night. It was clean and safe. Lack of air con for me, I wouldn’t stay here again in the summer. Winter would be fine.

We were thrilled to receive a large balcony on level 8 (we didn't expect our room to have a balcony). Was a lovely surprise. The view was superb. A very convenient location. Walking distance to gothic quarter area which was amazing. Plenty of shops and restaurants outside.

Elevator was broken a lot there are 9 floors. Traditional Spanish food for breakfast very good done expect American breakfast. Beds very uncomfortable worst beds I ever slept on. Shower head more of handheld. Hotel very clean staff friendly.

I got a room 207 with no window to see outside, but to strare into a black air tunnel; that means, this room has no day light at all! The bed they offered looked like a military bed you use in emergencys and this all for the price of more than 125 € / night! This is just a bloody rip off and I will also inform the Chamber of hotel owners in Barcelona and the tourist board upon such greedy attitude! Franz Bachleitner EXPEDIA SHOULD TAKE CARE WHAT IS OFFERED TO THEIR GUEST; ANOTHER SIMILAR EXPERIECE AND NO FURTHER BOOKINGS WITH EXPEDIA ANY LONGER!!!

Hôtel bien situé pour visiter la section gothique de la ville. Prêt des restaurants, boutiques et bars. La chambre était correcte. Prendre note que l’hôtel est situé entre 2 bars dans une section de la rue extrêmement bruyante. Surtout le soir et la nuit où les fêtards sortent des boîtes. On entend aussi passer le métro, ça gronde dans la chambre.

The check-in process was especially frustrating — only one staff member, "Victor," was handling registrations, and he was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Guests, including myself, had to wait in line for over 20 minutes, and when I politely suggested bringing in another staff member to help, Victor responded aggressively, telling me, “If you don’t like this hotel, you can get out with your luggage.” All mostly foreing guests wassurprided at his unprofessional behavior For a hotel charging over $215 per night, this kind of service is unacceptable. I strongly caution other travelers before booking.

I like the location, as it's close to restaurants, shopping areas and close enough to the airport....we also felt pretty safe as the police station is close by. The man at the front desk who checked us in was rude and unfriendly. I told him I was going to do a survey about the hotel and his attitude, and he told me he didn't care and I was to go right ahead. I will never go back to this hotel.

The service level was excellent and the location was perfect with access to everything we wanted to see. When we were going on an early morning excursion they even provided a boxed breakfast for us. We would recommend this to our friends and absolutely stay there again.

I can't say enough about the staff! I had an emergent issue that required a delivery of a power wheelchair prior to my arrival and my stress level was huge! I called and spoke with Noria(spelling?) And she immediately made me feel secure in the fact that they not only would receive this very expensive chair but store it securely pending my arrival! I was so comfortable as the staff notified me the chair arrived and was locked in the office! When we arrived to the hotel we received a warm greetings and the staff delivered my wheelchair to my room and helped unbox it and get rid of the trash! I really felt so taken care of! The whole stay was comfortable in all ways! All the front desk staff were warm and friendly as well as helpful with directions and arrangements for taxis! The cleaning staff did a great job and always had a smile! I would highly recomend this hotel to all my friends and clients in the future!

This hotel is very basic, but in a perfect location and offering a good breakfast. My husband and I booked a room with a lovely terrace with a beautiful view. Great location on Las Ramblas. Easily walkable to all the main tourist sites and a 10 minute taxi ride to the cruise ports. Clean room with all the normal amenities. Didn't have breakfast because we were leaving early for the airport, but it looked good when I just grabbed a coffee. We were a family of 4 and had a quiet night's sleep. Would definitely come back.

We had a terrace room so we were above the street noise and we had an incredible view (the door to the terrace was a little narrow but doable) The breakfast was really good...fresh squeezed orange juice, cheeses, meats, assortments of bread, many varieties of fruit.

Walking distance (up to 15 minutes) from many major attractions like museums , gothic Cathedral (not Sagrada Familia) , Plaza de Catalunia , big shopping mall , some Gaudi buildings (one of each is 1 minute walk - just behind the corner) , metro station (2 minute walk) , bus station . Price. Pretty affordable , compared to other hotels in same area Neutral : rooms are ok . nothing exceptional . Small , but clean . Cons : Noise : I , personally , dont mind , but my wife and mother are more sensitive , and they suffered from noise. Breakfast : you get EXACT same food every day , and it not very generous to begin with . cant say it worth the trouble . Most of the days we just skipped it altogether . Service : our fridge didnt work and it took 2 days to change it . The bartender refused to supply us with ice , so we had no means to cool drinks or keep any fresh food in room . We arrived well before check-in time at same time as many other travellers. Great greeting and we were ushered into a waiting area for a few minutes. Checkin done efficiently and allowed to store luggage until check-in time. Room was very clean with very well appointed bathroom. Friendly staff helped us with issues with the safe. Great view of the street from our room and lots of shopping and restaurants very close by. Only issue we had was the limited amount (1) of outlets in the room which was a challenge for our number of chargers. A small power bar would be a great add to the room. Breakfast was an extensive Continental with good choices of meat, dairy, and fruit. All we needed to get going. Front desk staff always ready to help with advice and tips. Was able to drop my luggage off early having come to Barcelona following a cruise so I could go out exploring the city. Great breakfast which was included. It was a European style breakfast (no hot dishes) but good variety of meat cheese cereal fruit . Room was fairly basic but clean and well appointed. Amenities were sufficient for my purposes. Would definitely stay there again.

Location is amazing! I had stayed many years ago and loved it then too. The room was clean, bright, modern and had a great view of Gaudi chimneys! Breakfast was good, continental with lots of choice. The ladies on reception were lovely, friendly and helpful. Also patient with my doubtful Spanish! The man at reception was not. He seemed to prefer looking at his computer, when I asked for more shower gel, please, he made a big deal of getting one tiny bottle from a drawer. I had to ask for another as there are were two people in our room. A kettle can be borrowed from reception for a small, refundable, deposit.
