This was our third time staying at this hotel, which we chose due to its good location (just a short walk to a metro station, train station that connects to the airport, and a tram stop that served the Forum venue for the Primavera festival). The rooms are a decent size, with a nice bathroom including a big bath and a bidet, while the bed is large and comfortable. The pool on the roof is lovely and rarely crowded, and the view is nice as you can see Torre Glories and the Sagrada Familia. There is a nice sandwich and pizza place a few doors down called The Catalan Sandwich, and there are a number of small convenience stores and restaurants in the surrounding area. The only drawbacks were very very minor (we struggled to work our TV remote, the bath plug seemed to leak water, and the maids could be quite noisy if you were sleeping in) but these were not big problems and did not affect our stay.

However take advantage of the view you can see the Torre Agbar ( egg shape building ) 8th floor! Did not have breakfast added but is available ($) A 5 min walk from restaurants and small shopping stores. Metro accessible as well within walking distance.

Hotel room was OK. Room comfortable and quiet. No bar or lounge. But the big omission was NO KETTLE in the room . In 2015? Might have been OK in 1950, but not in this decade. Had to get up to all kinds of subterfuges to get hot water so we could make some tea. Christer in reception is a bit of a star - helpful and interested.

El hotel excelente volveré, al igual que la atención del frente Erika muy amable nos ayudo en todas las dudas para aprovechar la corta estadía. Desayuno muy bueno y el rooftop muy bonito se ve la Sagrada Familia. Gracias

The staff were friendly but not overly helpful, though they did get us in early so that was a bonus after a long day of flying…. The rooms were clean but the bathrooms have a frosted glass door with see threw letters on it and the shower was only half enclosed by a glass that moves so fair bit got wet when we showered. Location is good walkable to the church and little cafes and shopping strips. Only main complaint is we faced the front of the hotel and it was soooooo loud at night by the people drunk walking outside, not the hotels fault but made it hard to sleep, we couldn’t get the ac working and had the window opened and assumed it was due to that but even the other half of our party had the same issue with the window closed. The breakfast was set out very nicely but for the price we were able to find something of site more suitable to our needs. The pool is very little but the views up on the room were lovely.

The hotel was quiet and clean. Not many people stated, the pool is much smaller than what their pictures show. The water temperature and pressure was great in the showers. The bed was comfortable. The one thing that I would have to say is that I found it more expensive than what it should’ve been in my opinion. I think they should charge a little less given the amenities and location they offer. Another thing to keep in mind. Is that for some reason Most taxi cabs bring you to the hotel slightly down the block rather than in front of this one. Must be something with the GPS setting, I don’t know.

Great stay. The room was lovely, and we were even upgraded to a king bed. The walls are unfortunately quite thin and I could hear our neighbour snoring all night, and their TV streaming services weren't working when we were there, and the pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures, but nothing to get upset over!

Boutique 3 star Hotel Near The Centre of Barcelona. About 30 minutes walking distance to the beach. The hotel is well managed in terms of foods and services.Staff are very friendly especially at the reception. Breakfast at 13 Euro per person is nice for a 3 star hotel with fresh orange juice machine. Everything is very small especially for North American tourists from rooms, beds, bathtub, bed , elevator to the rooftop pool . Towels need replacement and ceiling in my room had some small stains of emerging moulds stains in need of repair and paint .

The photos made this hotel look much nicer than it was in person – in reality, it was not very well maintained. The staff were friendly and the room was mostly clean and comfortable over our four night stay, but for the price, it just wasn't as nice as expected (maybe everywhere in Barcelona is expensive?). If I return to Barcelona, I will likely seek out a different hotel.

No es un lugar para descansar en el hotel. Si vas a salir todo el tiempo, puede convenir porque está muy cerca del metro, pero las instalaciones ya necesitan algo de mantenimiento. Que bueno que llegué en época de frío porque el aire acondicionado no funcionaba. La ropa de cama huele a viejo y el colchón fue incómodo. Adicional, se descompuso la caja de seguridad porque tiene mucho que no le cambiaban la batería. Me decepcionó que lo elegí porque también había alberca y estaba cerrada por ser invierno y eso no te lo dicen cuando haces la reserva. Eso sí, el personal es muy amable y te ayuda en lo que puede.

This hotel is mediocre at best. Please beware that the hotel is very run down and doesn’t in my opinion match the pictures on Expedia. For instance, some rooms in this hotel are updated and are what are advertised in the pictures, however we didn’t get the renovated room. Instead, our room was outdated and smelled musty and strongly of mold. There’s no fan in the bathroom so when you take a shower the bathroom fills with steam, thus the mold issue. I really wouldn’t recommend or stay here again unless this issue of mold in the room is dealt with promptly as both parties staying in the hotel became ill and exhibited common mold exposure symptoms. This is most definitely a health hazard in my opinion. Additionally, the sound proofing is non-existent so rooms are very loud all day and throughout the night. You can hear your neighbors on all sides and outside noise as well. Saying all this, I also want to highlight that the staff were EXCELLENT and very attentive and helpful during our stay. If it weren’t for the amazing staff we likely would have left due to the strong mold issues.

O quarto era excelente, cama confortável, banheiro bem equipado e limpeza sempre em dia. Piscina também muito limpa com uma vista parcial da Sagrada Família. Também é uma região segura para transitar a noite e há muitos cafés por perto. Também tem alguns restaurantes, mas nada sofisticado (suficiente para o dia a dia). Estacionar na rua é praticamente impossível, então o hotel oferece convênio com estacionamento (não usamos, mas fica muito próximo).

On nous a volontairement donné une chambre avec climatisation hs , lorsqu’on est allé se plaindre on nous a dit que le réparateur doit venir avant ce soir . Il est Jamais venu . Nous avons fini par quitter l hôtel à minuit , 27 degrés dans la chambre . Nous sommes aller plus loins dans la rue dans un autre hôtel ,c est hôtelier qui a tout organisé. L’insonorisation de la chambre est inexistant

Hotel muito bom, localização em ponto estratégico, próximo a estações de metrô, além de oportunizar fazer muitas atividades a pé. Entendo haver necessidade de melhora apenas no banheiro, já que o formato do chuveiro proporciona uma inundação no banheiro.

El personal de recepción es muy amable, sobretodo Albert, nos ayudó con información sobre la ciudad y es muy servicial. Es fácil de llegar y está cerca del metro. El hotel es un poco viejo y la habitación era un poco pequeña. El buffet de la mañana estaba bien pero no excede las expectativas. Si es necesario guardan tu equipaje.
El personal de recepción es muy amable, sobretodo Albert, nos ayudó con información sobre la ciudad y es muy servicial. Es fácil de llegar y está cerca del metro. Great stay. The room was lovely, and we were even upgraded to a king bed. The walls are unfortunately quite thin and I could hear our neighbour snoring all night, and their TV streaming services weren't working when we were there, and the pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures, but nothing to get upset over!

Hotel room was OK. Room comfortable and quiet. No bar or lounge. But the big omission was NO KETTLE in the room . In 2015? Might have been OK in 1950, but not in this decade. Had to get up to all kinds of subterfuges to get hot water so we could make some tea. Christer in reception is a bit of a star - helpful and interested.

The office staff were super friendly and most helpful! The motel is also convenient to metro and restaurants and sights of the city! Beds were super comfortable and the daily housekeeping was awesome! We certainly will stay again and highly recommend.

We recently visited barcelona and stayed in this hotel for 4 nights.We arrived in the hotel at 10am,checked in thingking that i will just leave our luggage and roam around hence normal check in time is 15:00 hrs but they let us go in our room right then and then.Receptionist are all very accomodating and helpful,cleaner s are friendly ,location near with everything restaurants,shopping,transportation(metro L1 & L2 lines and aerport train are just 2 minutes walkaway)glories tower and shopping to westfield are just 10 min walk away..Sagrada familia is just 15min away by walking.rooms are clean.breakfast is just fine,and the only down side one of the server during our breakfast is not very accomodating,controls how much you get for the freshly squeeze juice.Aside from that our stay with hotel albeniz was very nice its our home away frim home.Thank you!

We thought the staff were wonderful! Very kind and quick to help when needed. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Great location for walking to Familia Sagrada and Guell Park. Very happy we booked here.

Boutique 3 star Hotel Near The Centre of Barcelona. About 30 minutes walking distance to the beach. The hotel is well managed in terms of foods and services.Staff are very friendly especially at the reception. Breakfast at 13 Euro per person is nice for a 3 star hotel with fresh orange juice machine. Everything is very small especially for North American tourists from rooms, beds, bathtub, bed , elevator to the rooftop pool . Towels need replacement and ceiling in my room had some small stains of emerging moulds stains in need of repair and paint .

The hotel was super clean and location was excellent. BUT this review is for the staff. I had the most wonderful experience with the amazing staff at the front desk. First, a blonde lady (sorry I forgot her name) greeted us when we arrived way before check in time and was incredibly nice, sweet and helpful. Then, when we came back at 3 for check-in there was a second lady that was very nice as well. I went down to the lobby at around 11:45 pm or later to make a phone call and the young man that was at the desk approached me with a glass of water without me asking. I am very impressed with the staff
