Hotel Villa Emilia is an excellent hotel to stay at in the Eixample district! It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with professional staff. The facilities are immaculate, and the location is within walking distance of many of the major attractions. The food at the terrace restaurant was delicious. However, I have 1 major issue, on 2 occasions out of our 5 night stay the terrace was rented out for private events. Our first night we were simply forbade from being on the rooftop, and on another we were relocated to the side. If I were to consider staying again I would call ahead and only stay if the terrace is available for guests.

This is a great boutique hotel , family run , very friendly. Not city centre but close enough if you like walking or a short taxi ride. The area is good and safe , we walked to the sights most days unless it was raining. By Barcelona standards it's very reasonably priced with a nice brasserie style restaurant , the staff were all friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only regret was that the rooftop bar was closed for the season, something we were looking forward to experiencing. However as the weather was unusually cool and wet there was only one day out of six when we could of used it anyway.

Good location, close to the Metro station. Reasonably quiet in the evening, with good soundproofing. Rooms were clean and stylish, with good amenities, though tea/coffee making in the room would be welcome. Reception staff very helpful and bar staff accommodating. Roof terrace bar was closed but the terrace area was nice. Would stay there again.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo in questo hotel dal design molto accogliente. Camera comoda e silenziosa (avevamo una Premium al sesto piano). Pulizia impeccabile e minibar gratuito. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo anche cenato al ristorante per una sera ed è stato tutto molto buono. Ci torneremo molto volentieri!

From the minute we arrived we had a wonderful time at Villa Emilia, welcoming and very helpful staff, a special mention to Claudia on Reception who was very helpful, and the hotel was in a good position in central Barcelona. Although arriving earlier than stated check in time, we were allocated our room almost immediately. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Villa Emilia and if visiting Barcelona again we would rebook without a moments hesitation.

This is a lovely hotel and the only reason I took a star off is because I had requested a quiet room and got one on the noisier side and by the elevator. I also requested double beds for everyone and got one with two singles so had to ask to change one of the rooms. That aside, everything else was great. The staff were lovely, the bar downstairs was a great place to have a glass of wine after a busy day and the terrace was fab. The housekeeping was exceptional, not the sort of thing I normally comment on in a review but the team deserve a mention! The location was also great as you can get down to the main points in town easily on the train or walking. Great places to eat around and a fab coffee shop down the road. I would happily stay there again.

Room was fine but everything was an add-on cost. No coffee maker in my room and no coffee service at bar till after 7am. Most tours required us to leave hotel prior to coffee service. Bummer.

Wonderful place! I stayed for a week and enjoyed it. Location is great, staff are super helpful. The ambiance is lovely. Only complaint I could have is that the TV is extremely small - like a desktop computer monitor size, not 4 star hotel quality.

The stay started off a little shaky as they hadn't turned on their air conditioning for the season and the first night in our room was bit warm. After I brought it to their attention they turned on the air conditioning and the room was much better and we really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The roof top terrace is very nice as was the cute bar / restaurant area.

Staff was very friendly and extra helpful. We had a medical issue - for the rest of our stay, it was clear that the entire reception staff was informed as staff we hadn't yet met showed concern, care and encouragement. Our evening meal was one of the best ever - every item was superb! We would love to return to this hotel.

Stayed here for a week.Great hotel and staff. I would usually wake up a little late but the cleaners were very patient and would still clean my room very well. Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. They helped me extend my booking in the same room an extra 4 days as my plans changed. Rooftop terrace is small but quite nice with great staff. Can't recommend this beautiful hotel enough. Am travelling to Barcelona again soon and really considering booking here again.

Los empleados no fueron muy amables ni serviciales. La señora rubia en la recepción nos registró y, cuando le preguntamos por un buen restaurante para cenar, nos dijo que estaba demasiado ocupada. No nos pidió que regresáramos ni que se pondría en contacto con nosotros. La joven rubia con gafas que estaba en el bar también fue poco amable y no sonrió ni una sola vez cuando pedimos vino. Las excepciones fueron el joven camarero que no hablaba inglés pero se esforzó mucho por entendernos y fue muy servicial. También había una chica joven y hermosa con el cabello largo y oscuro en la recepción que fue encantadora.

Great stay! Comfortable rooms, no notices coming into the room despite facing the street. Very attentive staff ready to give advice or support in any way. I also had a great 3 course lunch organized in the hotel restaurant on Jan 1st, which was handy provided many restaurants were closed on the day.

Estuvimos hospedaos en Hotel Villa Emilia por casi una semana, desde la entrada nos sorprendió los limpio que está el lugar, y la habitación no fue la excepción. Por otro lado todo el personal siempre fue muy amable y atento. La ubicación del hotel es muy buena y conveniente también. El único pero que le pondría es el desayuno, el cual nos pareció un poco caro para la variedad de cosas que hay.

Hôtel cosy avec un joli bar et restaurant sympa. Chambres propres avec des produits d'hygiène l'Occitane en Provence. Chambres communicantes disponibles. Bonne insonorisation. Pour un 4 étoiles pas de bouteille d'eau dans la chambre ni plateau de courtoisie. Bon Petit-déjeuner mais manque de variété. Bonne option pour le restaurant qui cuisine des produits de saisons en s'associant avec des producteurs locaux. Réduction sur le parking en passant par l'hôtel 19€ au lieu de 25€. Restaurants et commerces à proximité.
