I really liked the garden, it was peaceful but also well looked after with an interesting selection of plants. I enjoyed sitting outside and reading. The staff were very helpful and caring.

Nice rooms, clean, comfortable bed, friendly check in. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Rooms are quite small, and there is no lift - so be warned if those things are important to you. But overall I would stay herw agin happily. :)

No air conditioning. Fourth floor. We left street the first night. Staff were very understanding and issued us a partial refund. Great location but not during a heat wave! We had a lovely cup of tea outside in the back garden. Such a lovely spot.

The Kennard is a unique property that is centrally located yet on a quiet street. The staff were very friendly, and the room and property were clean. I did not notice that the property does not provide air conditioning, so that was my error when booking. Although the temperature in Bath was very pleasant (mid-60s F), our room on the 3rd floor was consistently hot. The fan in the room helped, but only one window opened (slightly), so a breeze was not possible. The curtains regrettably don’t fully block the sun, so with the late sunset and early sunrise, sleep was overall challenging. The WiFi speed was also often quite slow. This is a unique property - it just wasn’t the right fit for our family of 3.

The guesthouse was very neat and clean. Bathroom was small, but again very clean and nice. The bed was very comfortable, with four pillows which I like because sometimes I need two. Breakfast was great with a lot of options. The fresh fruit is a very nice addition.

For a single male solo traveler this was an excellent, reasonably priced room. The Kennard is an older hotel, and my room was quite small. Also it was up three flights of stairs. But when I travel alone I don't need a big room -- just gonna sleep there anyway. The staff helped bring my suitcase, the room was clean and tastefully decorated. The shower was fine. The internet worked. The location is central -- very good actually. Overall, I was pleased with the hotel.

The Kennard was easy to find, easy to get to and from, and located mere minutes away from the Bath city center. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The continental breakfast was one of the best I've had.

Hotel is easy to find. Wasn’t aware of the policy of checking in by 5pm but was called with instructions for using the key lock to gain entry. Hardly saw a staff member but my stay was fine, room was clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was just down a few steps in the landing. Shower cubicle was very small though!

This is a lovely property located in a townhouse just across the Avon from the center of the city. Very nice furnishings (including bedding) and excellent breakfast selections. The “small double” room was exceptionally small, and the small washbasin was in the room, rather than in the en suite w.c. (perhaps in keeping with Bath’s heyday?). The room was manageable for a couple of nights.

Lovely Georgian rowhouse made into a wonderful upscale b&b. Very nicely decorated with historic Georgian details and big high ceilings. Easy couple of block walk to the center of things at Bath Abbey. Did not try the breakfast on offer but sounded like there was a good variety of choices. Would definitely return.

Absolutely loved staying here, even though it was just for one evening. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating, and replied quickly to emails with any questions or concerns. Our room was adorable and so comfortable! Loved the waffle knit bathrobes and slippers for our comfort, free of charge! The little homemade shortbreads were a special touch and very yummy! Our room was quiet and overlooked the courtyard gardens.

The guesthouse was very neat and clean. Bathroom was small, but again very clean and nice. The bed was very comfortable, with four pillows which I like because sometimes I need two. Breakfast was great with a lot of options. The fresh fruit is a very nice addition.

The Kennard was easy to find, easy to get to and from, and located mere minutes away from the Bath city center. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The continental breakfast was one of the best I've had.

Room was very comfortable & clean. The shower cubicals were small and doors were hard to open. Breakfast very basic, not value for money. The soap dispensers not easy too use for elderly.

Lovely place to stay - beautiful part of Bath, we walked everywhere with ease,(galleries, shops, cinema, restaurants etc) and they serve a fantastic breakfast. Sweet staff.

Room 12, ground floor front on a very, very quiet street was spacious with a comfortable queen bed. The shower was tiny but did its job. The continental breakfast was superb--lots of choices, all of excellent quality. Very pleasant staff.

Beautifully appointed and impeccably clean, the Kennard delighted us from beginning to end. It’s located on a quiet residential street, but conveniently just a short walk from the central attractions of Bath. The staff were friendly, warm and accommodating; and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Our stay was extremely pleasant and comfortable, and we are looking forward to our next opportunity to return.

We had a good welcome to the property on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable adequate for the one night stay. It was quiet and had good security. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. It was close to the town the Roman Baths and places we wanted to visit
