1.My Son has a spectrum, meaning that he is very specific with what He eats. I normally carry food from home where ever I go. When I approached Staff to ask if I could use Microwave, they were more than helpful. The chef was incredible. That made our stay stress free. 2. The swimming pool was the only reason why I booked that hotel. My children likes to swim. To my suprise. The water was extremely cold. We could not swim at all that day. When I approached staff to explain my disappointment, they were able to call, whosoever to fix it. That meant we lost a day at swimming. The next day the water was warm enough to swim and we thoroughly enjoyed our swimming. I would like to thank the staff for their dedication to making sure that customers have an enjoyable time.

For a 3 star hotel this one is good value. I had a sea view riom which was big and clean. They could do with slightly more reception staff and the lift is too slow and small for the size of hotel but apart form that all good. Pool was small but warm and well maintained. I would have breakfast next door in the Cumberland hotel. For £12.50 you get a great breakfast in a 4 star hotel. Its £12.95 and not as good in the Suncliff so make the 2 min walk.

We arrived early but could book in. Was taken aback that because we didn't pay directly at the hotel, we had to pay for car parking (£12 a night). Our room (34) was good but basic, it was very clean and all in working order and the bed was comfortable. The room view was terrible and very noisy. We could hear every foot step and squeaky floor board above us. The breakfast was very good. Did stay for the bar or if evening entertainment existed. The hotel is about 20 mins walk from the centre.There is a bus service they were good if you timed it right. The buses don't have a service after 6pm, so walking or taxi is the only option. The staff were nice but nothing really special.

Great hotel for solo traveller - room was compact but perfectly adequate and very clean. Single bed was comfortable. The fan was an added bonus. The pool was good and the outdoor pool next door a great addition. 10 - 15 minute walk from the town centre. All for £65 - definitely recommended.

Bedrooms very dated with old wooden marked furniture..the rest of the room decor was nice with comfy Doors and carpets need replacing in hallway Pool was nice and use of the other pools was also very good!

You can tell that this was a beautiful hotel in it's day. It really needs a fresh paint job and some upkeep. The elevator was out so we had to walk up several stairs to our room. The room was nice and looked like to had been updated a bit. The staff was very nice, especially the ladies in the bar area. They were very friendly & accommodating.

Didn’t like £12 parking which not mentioned in the “import information” I was advised by reception that this might have been waived if I had made reservation direct with hotel. So my take away is that the £ 12 is a commission payable to Expedia which should be shown as such in the upgfront stay costs

Restaurant not open. Staff in bar were rude. No one knew what menu was available where at restaurant in sister hotel. Be warned you have to pay for parking £23 for a 2 night stay!

Awful!!! How can you sell a hotel like that on your site? It is shameful. How can you sell a hotel with a « Rubbish view» literally speaking! See pictures attached. The shower was dirty and mouldy. I didn’t even use it. The furniture are so run down that the only thing you want is going home. We want a refund. This is not acceptable.

The room smelt of sewage, only stayed one night as the staff were so rude to me I felt uncomfortable in staying, I had to pay £24 for parking cost however there was no parking. Wasted £230 to stay 2 nights however the facilities were so poor. The gym was nothing like the pictures featured on your site. The sewage smell put us off from eating at the hotel. Complete waste of a weekend with my son, we had to find alternative accommodation and was refused a refund

The walls and ceilings in the rooms are very thin, always doors slamming shut, people have personal 1-1 love and it sounds like you're laying right next to it. I didn't sleep for both nights I stayed and left very tired. But staff and other areas are nice but not to chatty in turms of customer service in dining room.

Friendly staff and good overall experience, the only issue is there’s no AC in the rooms and no mini fridge. Definitely would recommend regardless.

The room was excellent location with perfect scenery. The furniture except the bed was absolutely appalling. The coffee table, dressing table and the drawers were falling apart. The bi-fold door had a crack and the bathroom sink was extremely outdated ( no mixed tap). Generally, the room was clean and renovated, but the balcony had super old deck boards, which didn’t reflect the price of the room. Parking is small, but overall the place is worth visiting because of the location. The food was average , but well priced. Room service staff were very friendly. The restaurant for breakfast was in the basement, but the food was nice. There wasn’t a big variety of food. I will recommend the place, but would rate it as good. The lift is outdated and needs proper maintenance.

Great stay lovely clean rooms .friendly helpfull staff, beautiful views.... only let down was the noise from the lift ( we were o. WILLIAM room) Which kept me awake until aromd 12 and the awake again around 7am-ish (maybe improvement in sound proofing may help) Apart from that i rwally enjoyed our stay and would DEFINITELY return!

Some rooms need updating, I was in room 322 was small but was ok for a single person. Room was very warm even with the fan on constantly and the window always open. Had issues with my uncle’s room, I had requested a suitable room for him as he has mobility issues my request hadn’t been read so had to wait 2 days for him to be moved. I must admit the new room was perfect, walking shower and large double room which meant he was able to move about without bumping into anything, also had a sea view. He was in room 203. Breakfast was good only problem was the cups by the coffee machine was very slow to be replenished.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!! We’d travelled a long way and when we arrived, they said we weren’t booked in. We’d booked & paid in full with Hotels.com. The staff were extremely rude & simply couldn’t care less that we were tired and now had nowhere to stay. Turns out the hotel had double booked the rooms - even though they were STILL showing available on Hotels.com. The attitude of the hotel staff was appalling - just trying to get us out and not caring at all that it was late evening & we had nowhere to go.

Restaurant and breakfast staff were wonderful (lady with red, short hair was quite pleasant, can’t remember her name, she was super kind and professional). Live music was great too. Reception staff however are quite irritable and not very competent. Had to repeat myself so many times when requesting to keep the same room for two separate reservations we made. This resulted in 3 visits to reception when it could have been resolved in under 2 minutes. Wait times to be seen by a receptionist were ridiculously long too. Staff didn’t provide any information about the facilities available at the hotel and not once they gave us any information about the location of breakfast and restaurant. We didn’t find out there were lifts available until our last day. They simply handed us a keycard and not one piece of information was given to us so we had to ask receptionists for information about the hotel several times. Receptionist Anusha was quite rude and unwilling to help us. The room was boiling hot and the fan provided didn’t work properly, luckily we bought one from home which kept us cool during the night.

Receptionist Anusha was quite rude and unwilling to help us. The room was boiling hot and the fan provided didn’t work properly, luckily we bought one from home which kept us cool during the night.

The outside of the hotel is rundown, but the room pictures online looked promising. As it was just us, we treated ourselves to a room on the 'penthouse' 4th floor. The room was tiny & very disappointing. The only good feature was the balcony & view. We only had breakfast - there was no option on the Hotels.com page to prebook breakfast, only a 'half-board' option, which we didn't need (they don't advertise it, but if you pay for breakfast when you arrive, it is discounted to £11pp). We decided to have breakfast in bed. There was no breakfast card in the room, so we had to go down to reception to get one (the receptionist didn’t know what we were talking about, so had to ask fot help). We filled it out & popped it out at approx 11pm (we had until 3am to put it out). In the morning, at about 8.20am (we had asked for breakfast between 8.30-9am) I asked my husband to doublecheck that the card had gone, but to our surprise it was still on the door! He rang down to reception, who told us we'd have to being it down, which we did. It arrived 30 mins later, stone cold! The whole point of breakfast in bed means you don't have to get dressed & go down! When mentioning this at check-out, she merely shrugged & said she'd have a word with the night porter. We were still charged the £5 tray fee! Parking is also charged at £12 for 24hrs (we got there at 7pm, but still had to leave the carpark at 2pm!). We won't stay here again.

It’s very conveniently located next to the beach and offers good access to the beach. It is an old property and lot of things do look aged. The rooms are clean and has required amenities. The gym is non existent and has some rusted weights and old treadmills. Pool looks better. The rooms, lift and stairways have old musky odour. I had paid for breakfast and requested for an early breakfast as I was leaving early for work and the front desk staff promised it will be provided but when I went down to the restaurant no one was aware on 2 consecutive days and some of the staff at the restaurant were upfront rude and dismissive. This put me off the whole experience. Horrible way to behave with customer and even after requesting for breakfast on 2 days the service and communication was extremely poor. They even charged me for a breakfast tray which was never delivered. Not going to stay here again.

This was during the air show and a great emphasis was placed on the corporate hospitality/ private function visitors to the detriment of other guests. My husband waited, along with others for over 25 mins at the bar whilst the corporate guests were served. No bar meals only sandwiches, not told about this in advance unlike parking/road closure arrangements. This would have enabled us to make alternative arrangements for our evening meal on Friday. On previous occasions our daughter and son in law have come to the hotel for excellent bar meals a great disappointment that they had been cancelled, would have been helpful if a message had been sent along with the parking message. Overall a lack of sufficient staff in the circumstances, all were visibly under duress and did their best in difficult circumstances.

Clean room, Seaview, Room service available. I booked four nights, upon arrival the lift was not working. As I am disabled. After the 1st night, I requested a possible move to a ground floor room or move to the next door sister hotel. As I had booked a Seaview with terrace. The manager Julian, ensured we was given an equivalent valued or upgraded room, he arranged for an upgraded move at no extra charge to the next door sister hotel which had a working lift, Seaview and private balcony. Our daily breakfast request was also honoured. Julian, thank you so much for your understanding also for a smooth transition. Customer service at it's best!

The hotel is clean and tidy but rather tired. It seems very impersonal and not very organised. I think they have just changed the system and are trying to get to grips with it but there is a definite staff shortage. There is only one barman and he has to also serve the food in the bar so queues form at peak times. It needs to be more welcoming and more information given as you have to keep going and asking.

My check-in was a bit of a nerve wracking as the room wasn’t ready for 3 pm and that area needs to be improved in this hotel . But the hotel is very clean and I had excellent food there too . Lovely location and possibility to stay outside on the patio enjoying a glass of Prosecco and admiring the view of the sea unforgettable. I would love to go back there for sure. Thank you .

Large hotel with lots of facilities. Be prepared for a longish walk into the town centre - we found the car park was small and left the car parked up - others had their cars blocked in. Also parking charges were £12 per night extra. Breakfast was ok - covered all the basics. Bar open until 11pm each night. Great views but a bit of a zig zag down the cliff to the beach. If you find walking difficult it would be a problem. However the beach was fantastic - beautiful sand and generally really clean.

An old English seaside hotel. We booked two standard rooms, a king and a twin and both rooms were pretty ropey and could do with some TLC. Cheap poorly painted furniture in the rooms and creaky floorboards throughout. No air conditioning in the king room and the twin room was a disabled room next to the lift with no window only a frosted glass door which led out to the rusty rear fire escape. The rest of the hotel was a bit more loved with a nice bar area and restaurant where we had a nice buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive during check in and breakfast service so overall we enjoyed our stay. Location is fantastic on the clifftop above Bournemouth beach with easy access to the beach, boardwalk and a beachside restaurant and bar (El Murrino).

Loved our room it was penthouse called William. Breakfast for the £12.00 each was terrible as there was nothing left on our last day. We asked for more sausages, bacon and hash browns, but was just not answered by the server. He just looked through my husband. We complained and got £12.00 off our bill.

Pool amazing, location in bournemouth good. The staff were very nice and professional, particularly dining room Hotel itself tired looking and a little tatty. Only one cup for tea and coffee when there were 2 of us. Shampoo not replenished each day.

Even though some elements of the hotel were tired, it was spotlessly clean throughout. Our bedding was crisp white cotton and smelt lovely, the bathroom was lovely and recently refurbished, the breakfast was decent, hot and plentiful, and we even made use of the sauna which was great. Stunning location too.

We couldn’t see the beach from our room as out the back. The room was clean and the bathroom was newly done but the room obviously was quite dated and shabby. The windows were not double glazed and so quite noisy. The breakfast was good. We were on the top floor and the lift was very small and very old looking so we opted for the stairs.

Room and staff were really good. This hotel had a brilliant reception team who are so friendly and welcoming. The only thing that lets the hotel down was the food. We ordered hams eggs and chips and a tuna sandwich. Ham and tuna seems a but off tasting a little on the sour side the chips were soggy and undercooked. The service and foh more than made up for it
