Airway Motel

Insufficient parking, but otherwise property very clean and tidy with good location for airport and transport services if you require.

Stayed at the Airway Motel on Friday night (1st March). We arrived in the afternoon and entered our room which was very cool as the air-conditioner had been turned on prior to our arrival, which was nice as it was 34 degrees at that time. We were in room 4, a Pet Friendly Room as we had our small Dog with us. I had read some previous reviews that stated that the rooms they stayed in smelt & were not overly clean. Well the room we stayed in did NOT smell and was exceptionally clean, I mean, a-lot cleaner than some of the other (more starred) Motels I have stayed in previously. The beds were comfortable, the room also had large mugs, toaster & a microwave - PLUS they give you biscuits, just like the '0l days. Good On You Airway Motel, thankyou for being Pet Friendly & we will definitely be back... PS:- We heard a few horns from the trains which did not disturb us & we did not hear the planes.....

The motel is under renovation which would have been good to know before booking, room access was done remotely via a door code, that can be a good or bad thing depending on the age of the client but the price was cheaper which is a compensation for that fact but also limited parking and some noise but the room was clean and the Reno is decent enough for the age of the place definitely a positive. I would stay again for the one night to catch a plan the next day it’s perfect for me any my partner.

Great stop before heading to the airport. A little hard with the steps with the pram but it was only a 2 night stay so wasn’t hard. Pool was lovely!

The bed was squeaky and you could feel the springs and the shower had mould all around the edges. But, its price was decent for its location and considering we booked a pet friendly room. There was a well kept bbq on site and my son enjoyed using the pool. We would return fir a stay in the future, purely because of the convenient location and lower pricing compared to other pet friendly option in the area. But i do truly hope the beds are updated along side the current room renovations and the shower is given a proper mould removal prior to booking again.

Ac works well. Limited parking spaces.

Easy access to Brisbane airport. Very limited parking even on the street. The stairs are hard to manage if you have bags to carry up. Comfy bed, big TV, nice big screened window that opens for fresh air. Easy check in.

Nowhere to park properly,average room that was clean,a bit dated.

We loved the pool. The staff were very friendly when we approached them. Our room was a little bit dusty when we got there. We put our language on top of the wardrobe and it was very very dusty. Over all we felt a very positive environment. The pool was amazing. The car rental was right next door which was a bonus to us. Thank you for letting us stay at your hotel. Dubravka.

Room was extremely stuffy. Bad odour throughout room. Stains all over chair. No ventilation in bathroom no window no exhaust fan. Wasnt told how to access room after hours. Room is very old and in need of renovation. Not worth the money paid.

Unfortunately our room’s ceiling was covered in mould. It ruined our stay and our nights sleep. I’ve been sick with a sore throat and headaches since. The room shouldn’t be used as it is extremely unsafe, I’m not sure why a pet friendly room has to be so rundown it was very disappointing.

The room was spotless, spacious, friendly staff, close to everything

Room was dirty - toenail clippings on the bathroom floor and dirty marks on the walls. Mildew on the ceiling above the shower.

Very noisy. No bathroom extraction fan, made the bathroom tiles very slippery. Bathroom had pink mould in areas. Very comfy beds though.

Clean room, friendly staff. 2nd time here, will be back again when in Brisbane

Rooms have been updated and are lovely, clean and would highly recommend

Room was full of mould and peel

Airways was cheap & close to airport, but no bathmat or facecloths & no plates. The armchair was badly stained & there's no shelf in the shower for soap etc. The fridge door was filthy with gunk in the top seal & the walls are paper thin. Bed reasonably comfy but glad I had my earplugs!

7/9/25 night stop before heading to the airport. They were doing renovations while we were there, a big container out the front. Not all that appealing from the outside, it looks run down. The check-in area is attached to the house (I think), so as soon as you walk in the door, there were unpleasant odors, and the area really needs a spruce up. Our room 9 was on the 1st floor and looked like it had been newly renovated. It was a Sunday, and the room next door was being renovated, jackhammering up until 5. Luckily, we got there late. Compared to the outside room it was very nice. It was clean and a good size. A double bed which rolled away from the wall when you sat up and leaned against the headboard, and the castors made a noise like they were going to break. USB charging near the bed, a good size tv mounted on the wall with options for you to cast your own apps— a + in my opinion. It was also air conditioned. The bathroom was clean and had no mould. Extra pillows and blankets. Microwave, tea, and coffee facilities. The Gallopers Sports Club is almost across the road and would recommend a meal there. The racecourse is also only a short walk. The reason we chose there was because it was cheap and close to the airport for a flight the next morning. OK for a night or two and would probably stay again if travelling. A 3-star at best.

Looks like they’re working on the property with a big bin in front. Doesn’t look like much but the lights had tech controls if you’re lying in bed, press a switch and all lights turn off. By the railroad but didn’t hear it at night. It’s kind of a mixture of retro and high tech.

Room was clean and comfortable. Space was tight for queen and 2 twins, but efficiently laid out. Shower pressure was low. Wi-Fi internet connection was poor and pretty much unusable. At times, we could not even see the internet access point to connect to. Once connected, it would take a minute or more for a single page to load. We were not able to use the internet for airline online check-in (pages would often fail to load due to no internet connection).

Good location, close to food but right next to a railway station, so a tad noisy. Room clean and comfy bed. I liked the easy self check-in.

Close to railway crossing with noisy trains. Rooms are not very sound proof. Average mattress. Room was clean and not expensive. Very close to a bus stop with easy access to city.

Liked the clean and large room. Simple facilities. Fair bed. Disliked the noise between 06:00 and 23:00 due to nearby train track. Good price.

The stay was great. Room was clean but the bed was not good. The bed was moving as there were no wheel stoppers to lock the wheels. I was at room 8. Hopefully this feedback will help next person. Thanks

The room was fine - didn't see any staff as we arrived and left outside of reception hours.

It had everything i needed for my short stay and with easy instructions sent to me I really liked that i could check in after hours. That was the winner for me.

Super easy check-in. Super clean

Reception was closed and key left in a box. There was a bell to ring if necessary which I rang as I found I had to go to an upstairs room with heavy luggage. Person I spoke to was useless. Property very old and noisy

This is a great option near the airport and walkkng distance to the river, ferry and lots of restaurants. Next to the train station too. Despite what was advertised there was no reception open, we arrived esrly wanting to leave our bags. We rang and were told to leave them in the courtyard, not an option for us. We were on foot so just had to wait until our room was ready, we were hoping to take an afternoon trip on the ferry or have lunch somewhere but couldnt take pur bags with us. Otherwise it was clean, safe and convenient

Conveniently located only 10 minutes from the airport, close to public transport and a shopping centre. Room was of good size, wifi, good air conditioning, fridge, toaster, kettle, good hot water in the newly tiled bathroom. The motel is opposite the train tracks so there is the occasional train noise, but I didn't find it a problem Only negatives I had was there was no bathroom exhaust fan and the paint on the ceiling was flaking off If the price is good, I'd stay here again

Airway Motel is close to Brisbane Airport. I normally stay here whenever I fly internationally. It takes only 10 minutes to reach the Airport from the Motel's location. Dining options are not very far away. It provides me with everything for a short stay at a very reasonable price.

Motel is convenient to the airport.

Really good hotel near the airport with shops and restaurants locally. It has the railway tracks right by it so it is pretty noisy but that can’t be helped. It was clean and comfortable.

Convenient location for airport. Average room. Clean. Tidy. Had everything you need. 3 star quality. Not much parking space. Near to lots of food options. Nothing special but perfectly fine for what we needed.

as was only a stay on route to the train the next morning the property was adequate for our needs some directions as to where to eat would have been handy we eventually founf racecourse road

I just felt it odd that no one was there to settle me in.I never met a staff member at any time . When l left at around 9am the Office was not opened. There was tea and coffee available and no breakfast offered. In fairness the place was clean and everything you needed towels etc and a comfortable bed. I would use the place again but l prefer to be met by staff personally

We didn’t like the place at all. Room were ok but facilities were not good at all. Shower was broken, no milk in the freeze, no lift to carry luggage. Overall very average place.
