Hotel Korpilampi

Loved the Lake view from our room. The sauna and pool arena was very nice and it was a huge plus to be able to be able to “swim” in the Lake after using the sauna. The restaurant served great Food and the breakfast was nice. The little walk in the forrest around the hotel was lovely.

Nice place for a week end escape

Arriving was such a great experience, how check in should be, almost immediate and giving useful information. The room was clean and spacious, the scenery out the window divine 😍. The only improvement I could recommend is to have a fridge in the room, although again the staff were lovely giving free ice for our water jugs. The was also no control for heating, so it did get a little warm later in the summer day, but I guess it's a minor quibble. The areas around is fantastic, and true Finnish beauty. Breakfast was a bit basic, and the gluten free options were not so great, but at least they did have some. Dinner however was far better, and almost everything can be made gluten free, vegetarian etc, and was very nice. Finally, for those reliant on Uber or Bolt, you can get taxis but you may have to wait occasionally. I used the timed feature to collect for the airport, and this worked very well, and was much cheaper than using the local taxi company.

The room was basic. No air conditioning or even a fan. The front desk lady who was in later was fantastic!! Breakfast buffet is wonderful. The setting is beautiful. Kids loved the pool.
