Heavy bags and lots of stairs make me sad What doesn’t make sense about this hotel is that the front door and reception area is three flights of stairs above street level aka at the height of the train station platform. But there’s no ramp nor obvious elevator. Despite being on the same plane as the station and being next to said station there is a glaring lack of a door from the platform to the hotel which would seem to be the most logical way to transfer customers between on business and another. For a hotel that bills itself on the convenience of being at the station it’s approach to accessing said station is positively Kafkaesque. If you stay here be mindful of this

Great location and a great base for our 3 day visit. We upgraded our room and it was well worth it as it was so comfortable and had a great luxury feel. The shower is worth a special mention, it was so good! The breakfast was excellent space and choice very good. Our only gripe was the bar closed on a Sunday which was strange. The bar staff though were lovely and very helpful. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel is amazing. Very large. Perfect location…just steps from Grand Central Station. My only issue is that the ad said LAUNDRY FACILITIES and Laundry Service. They only offer laundry service and it is 5 euros to wash underwear. I booked this place for two different stints of our month long trip so we could do our laundry. I am very disappointed. We have to take a train to a laundry mat. I showed the listing to staff, so hopefully no one else makes the same mistake. :(

Right next to train station. Very clean. Within walking distance of everywhere. Breakfast was buffet and ample of food. Lots of seating areas. Comfy beds, loved it. Downside.... Was disabled and the disability rooms are a long way from the reception.

Excellent in every way but accessing the hotel reception area with a heavy suitcase was difficult. I had to take the ramp-access which took me to the conferencing area of the hotel. In the end a kindly guest showed to to reception as I would not have found this on my own via the ramp access to the hotel. I felt a bit embarrassed by getting to reception by the kindness of one of your other guests.

The room was spacious and the breakfasts outstanding. However, I am mystified by Scandic's eco-friendly light-touch cleaning regime: although I appreciate cleaners can be heavy-handed with all sorts of cleaning products I can't see what prevented them from washing a mug, wiping down the tea/coffee area and replenishing tea coffee and milk as they were in on a daily basis. Reception did help out from supplies downstairs. Beds were never very carefully made and the day before we left sheets were chaged rather wastefully. It was all rather contradictory. We wouldn't want a guest in a room in our own home to feel neglected and that is the impression we received. All rather a pity as it is a wonderful building in the very best possible position for a visit to the capital.

I experienced issues with cleanliness, maintenance, accessibility, and communication. The listing said “bathtub or shower”; I requested a bathtub in advance but received no reply, and the room had only a shower. On arrival, about ten strands of hair were floating in the toilet bowl, suggesting the toilet hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. The bidet (washlet) didn’t work, and the room had no kettle or amenities beyond shampoo and conditioner. There was no ramp, so I had to lift my suitcase to access the property. Towels are replaced only on request; however, while online check-in and breakfast reservations are required, there is no way to request towel changes online, which is inconvenient. I hope the hotel will improve hygiene, accessibility, and centralize guest requests.

The location and room is very nice. The one thing I felt no good was room cleaning. No room cleaning, towel change and bed making was done on the 1st day and 2nd day was just towel replacement and asked room keeper for bed making and taking out the trash. All staffs are friendly and sauna was good. Only room keeping was negative item

This was our third time. You cannot beat the location, so easy to get to the train to and from the airport as well as to the local transportation. Excellent breakfast and the rooms are nice. It was very hot in Helsinki that week so the AC could have been cooler to our taste. It could only be lowered a few degrees

エントランスが最初分かりにくかったですが、とにかく駅近でバスターミナルも目の前でとても便利。真冬でしたので駅近は有り難かったです。ちょっと広めのお部屋が良かったのでスーペリアルーム(2人がけのソファー&ローテーブルの他に壁沿いにデスク&チェアがありました)にしたら2人で大きなスーツケースを広げて色々散らかしてもスペースにかなり余裕がありました。ドアに書いてある避難経路を示すフロア全体の間取り図？を見ると、スタンダードとスーペリアは広さに結構差があるように見受けられました。お値段的にはそこまで違いがなかったので、スーペリアにして良かったです。キングサイズベッド一台ですが、掛け布団は2枚あり、引っ張り合いにならないのが良いです（笑）湯沸かしポットは口コミではお願いしないともらえないようでしたが、今回の部屋には最初から置いてありました。ミニバーの保冷庫はキンキンとは言えませんが割と冷たくなります。バスタブは大きめでゆったり浸かれます。シャワーはヨーロッパでよくあるガラスの壁が半分もないタイプで、もれなく床が濡れますのでシャワーヘッドの角度にご注意を。水圧は全く問題なし、湯温も3秒くらいで熱々のお湯が出て、自宅のシャワーより断然優秀でした。ゴミ箱が小さめなのですぐ一杯になります。ベッドメイクなどは要らなかったので、出かけるときに廊下にいたハウスキーピングの方にタオル交換をお願いしたら快くワンセットくださいました。アイスマシーンがないのですが、部屋飲みの際に氷が欲しくてバーに行ったら大きなグラスに氷を沢山入れてくださいました。チェックインは到着する前にオンラインで出来ますよとメールが来たので空港からの電車の中で済ませてからホテルに到着。オンラインチェックインの方はこちら！という列には誰もいなかったのですぐにカードキーをもらうことが出来ました。普通の列は結構並んでいたので便利だと思います。働いてらっしゃる方々、皆さんとても感じがよく親切でした。強いて言えば、ハンドソープとかシャンプーなどの一式のにおいが気になりましたが個人差あるかもです。自分は持参したので問題なし。それと電話がないです。テレビ画面からリクエストとか出来るのか？？と色々試しましたが分からずじまい。あとは部屋の温度を調節しにくい。壁のエアコンのコントローラみたいなのをいじってみましたがそこまであったかくはならなかったです。凍える程ではないですが室温低めでした。インテリアなどのデザインも素敵で、総合的には満足でしたので機会があればまた泊まりたいです。

Very large hotel and quite a walk to room due to size and room location. Originally booked a queen bed room (2121) and it was on back corner of hotel and away from reception. Room was very tight and view overlooking side street. Very depressing so sought an upgrade that i was willing to pay for and moved to king bed with extra room (3040) which was excellent. Service from front desk was excellent and i was not made to feel bad for requesting the change. Strongly suggesting paying the extra if you can. First day of breakfast was ordinary with much of the food i.e. scrambled eggs empty excellent for slops, bacon was similar and sitting in water. Fruit selection (bruised watermelon pineapple) poor compared to other hotel stays on 3 week scandinavia trip. Day 2 service was better with everything refreshed and topped up. Location is good for getting around to shopping or restaurants.

Super chatty and friendly receptionist who actually show an interest in you when you arrive and how your stay was when you leave. They genuinely seem to enjoy their job. It’s in a super location and I have stayed here before, paying extra to return for my latest trip. The rooms are nice and stylish with comfortable beds, little fridge and a new looking bathroom. The building itself is historic and everything just looks great. Breakfast, as ever, is amazing and I can’t wait to return again. Thank you for another wonderful stay

滞在中、体調を崩してしまったがスタッフの方に相談したところサポートをしていただき非常に助かりました。駅近でアクセスもよいです。ただホテルが大きいので部屋の場所によっては、エレベーターまで遠い等があるかもしれません。セルフでチェックイン・チェックアウトも可能なので、ロビーもスムーズでした！

The check-in staff Ms Tali was very efficient and courteous. It took about 5 minutes and I got my. Room key card. When I needed a heater in my room, the staff got me one. Ms Vilma managed to contact and spoke to the taxi who fetched me earlier to the hotel to cancel the airport booking trip as i do not speak Finnish.

Hotel was great. Reception staff not well trained and long queue. Taxi drivers outside the hotel are criminals - charged me 60 Euro to drive to Market Square for what should cost Euro 15. When I resorted to reception the situation they said nothing they could do as táxis as charge what they like (which sounds very unlikely) but the hotel needs to warn guests not to use these taxis. It’s not OK

Everything was fantastic, if I had to make a comment it would be the extra charge to check in before 3 PM. The latter becoming very common in Scandinavia apparently. I’ve paid extra in two hotels just to check in 1 hr before 3 PM. Hotels.com should consider giving this option in pricing or negotiate with hotels as in the end, it’s all about up charging. Shame on Scandic and Clarion Hotels.

A true gem ! In the heart of the the city right next to the train station which makes for a convent and easy commute to and from the airport . Seamless check in process . Recommend upgrading to a higher floor room/suite as the windows and layout are beautiful . Great architecture throughout , would stay here again on my next trip

This is a large tourist hotel. We had a superior twin room which was a good size with a large walk in shower. Check in was slow and chaotic. Not enough reception staff, it took about 20 minutes. There was no one to help with bags. Fine for us with two small cases but some elderly Canadian tourists were struggling. The room was clean although the bed cover was stained. We ran out of body wash and despite leaving a note for it to be replaced it wasn’t. Our room phone didn’t work. Our water wasn’t replaced nor were our coffee cups washed. Only instant coffee is available on the room. Breakfast on day one was a bit of a jungle. We ended up sitting in the bar to eat. We missed breakfast on day two as the hotel stopped serving at 9.30 am. We had dinner in the Brasserie which was expensive my leek starter was literally 1/2 a slice leek with a cream sauce and cost 17 euros. My steak at 47 euros was well cooked and my daughter said her risotto was excellent. Service was good although I did see the waiter emptying partially red wine bottles into one bottle. So I would urge caution if ordering wine by the glass. All the staff were pleasant to deal with. The hotel is quite stylish a lot of thought has been given to the design. The bar, lobby and brasserie are nicely decorated. The hotel is very convenient, no more than 10-15 minutes from all the sites.

Just by the train station, light sleepers make sure to ask a room away from the train side as the announcement starts at 4am. It's very convenient coming from the airport and leaving to go take the buses, tram, train or even the ferry with is about 10mins away €24 taxi ride. Their buffet breakfast is in so far, the best I've had traveling the Nordic countries. Located centrally, you could walk to scenice spots downtown. Very spacious rooms just lacking FACE CLOTHS. Definitely a good stay.
