Flott beliggenhet, hyggelig rom med fin utsikt over torget og behagelig senger, vennlige ansatte, god frokost som kunne spises ute på terrassen. Fikk anbefalt hotellet av venner og vil gi anbefaling videre. Det er få parkeringsmuligheter i gaten men kort vei til parkeringshus og parkeringsområder.

It was ok for a night, not the most modern, or best kept hotel. Breakfast was OK. All this could be because of the church bells waking me up on the hour, every hour... not the hotel's fault, however if the room had an air conditioner, i'd have had the windows closed... Nice town, and the hotel is well located. Parking is a bit hit and miss though.

The hotel was neat and tidy but not too big. There was no facilities in the hotel and breakfast was not included. It was a hot day but we had no air conditioner but a small fan. Overall the hotel was ok, staff friendly and for the price, I have stayed at better hotels.

Très agréable séjour. A deux pas de la cathédrale. Hôtel très propre, bien placé, personnel agréable. Quelques difficultées pour trouver un parking proximité, nous sommes allés nous garer au parking des alpes (20CHF/j), mais c'est a 10min de marche.

Wonderful location! Beautiful town. Lots to see, convenient for walking. Our room faced the Pl. Notre Dame and Cathedral St. Nicholas. Is parking next door, can buy pass at hotel. Ask staff as you can time purchase of pass to suit your needs; parking is free overnight. We loved it here.

The hotel is a little old but comfortable with modern conveniences. It sits at the bottom of the main street for shopping and restaurants with a nice view of the cathedral across the street. Very easy access to a few restaurants — all walking distance. It was a couple of hot nights with no air conditioning so we had to open the windows. It was a bit noisy with some late night traffic but it died down and we got good sleep. Staff is superb, friendly, and anxious to help. Can’t ask for a better stay in sleepy (?) Fribourg.

Schönes altes Hotel in der Altstadt. Ich war angenehm überrascht, zu einem günstigen Preis kurzfristig ein gutes Hotel zu finden. Der einzige Wermutstropfen war, dass das Bad zum folgenden Tag nicht gereinigt wurde.

L'hôtel est dans centre ville. Tout est accessible. Avant votre arrivé, L'hôtel vous envoie la carte de Fribourg qui donne plusieurs services gratuits. Les chambres sont très propres. Les cloches sonnent assez souvent, car cathédrale est à côté. Cependant, avec les fenêtres fermées, on est correct.

A pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. Lots of shopping areas around, and walking distance from the train station. Got a simple room which is not large but still of reasonable size. It had a proper desk to work, a wardrobe and good wifi. The only downside in my opinion is the water saving shower head, that blows so much air that it's cooling you (maybe nice in summer but not in winter).

Great location nearby restaurants and cafes. It’s also nearby the bus and train station. The only thing is that the bells from the cathedral ring throughout the night which would constantly wake us up but other than that everything was great!

Die Economy-Zimmer sind sehr klein. Der Standard des Hotels entspricht einem 3 Sterne Haus. Keine Minibar im Zimmer. Toll ist das Ticket für freie Fahrt mit dem Bus innerhalb der Stadt. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen in dieser wunderschönen Stadt.

Wir waren nur zum schlafen im Zimmer, darum war das winzige Economy-Zimmer im 1. OG total ok. Alles war wir brauchten war da. Müsste ich mich auch im Zimmer aufhalten können, würde ich ein anderes Zimmer wählen.

Zimmer war ok, passte zum Standard und Preis. Kommunikation mit dem Hotel nachdem Waschbeutel vergessen wurde war extrem mässig. Hätte erwartet einen Anruf oder Email zu erhalten, wenn etwas Substantielles im Zimmer nach meiner Abreise gefunden wird. Mein Anruf am nächsten Tag wurde zunächst freundlich aufgenommen und mir wurde versichert, dass mir der Waschbeutel auf eigene Portokosten - was OK ist- geschickt werden würde. Der Prozess war extrem langsam und schleppend und nach 3 Wochen bekam ich eine lapidare Email, dass der Waschbeutel wohl verwechselt worden wäre und leider nicht mehr aufzufinden sei. Das ist jetzt Stand der Dinge und ich kann nicht nachvollziehen was mit meinem Waschbeutel passiert ist?!

We were not able to come to the Hotel for the regular Check In Hours. The staff was so nice, to put the key in a box with a code, so there was absolute no stress for us. It was such a wonderful experience in a lovely city. We‘ll be back!

I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to advise that I needed power by the bed for a medical equipment machine. When I arrived, I discovered that there was a variety of different power outlets but all very old and damaged and none of them fitted the various adapters I had when I went to request assistance from reception they told me I needed to get on a bus and go into the centre of town and buy a suitable adapter which I did however none of the shops had a UK to Swiss . The receptionist was very rude and had no intention of helping out in the situation.

Reception on arrival was very good. Helpful as well to help me make the most of my overnight stay. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Well located for the old town and about 20 mins walk from the station - less going to the hotel, perhaps a little slower going back!

We have stayed here a number of times because it is right across the street from the historic cathedral and and easy walk to the Old City down below. They have paid parking but if you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you.

Area - Positive easy to get to places Negative the constant bell noises throughout the night if light sleeper will be very disturbing but because we were very tired it was only disturbing on the first night but everyone else in the group said it was okay so depends Breakfast Not worth it personally Cleanliness Positive Room cleaned daily Staff Most were nice especially the female on the first night Overall Wouldn’t return but fine for the first time

I have stayed at this hotel before. It is in a lovely spot in the old town with everything close by, restaurants and sightseeing. Breakfast is plentiful with scrambled eggs and bacon as a hot choice as well as continental. The rooms are clean but beginning to look shabby. Paper cups instead of china mugs for hot drinks. No frills. I would say it’s a low 3 star.

Nice property, nice room, nice area and friendly staff. Great breakfast. If you’re a light sleeper, be forewarned that church bells across the street ring every 15 minutes all night long, and busses run directly by the hotel. Earplugs helped.

Hôtel tres bien situé dans le centre, proches des rrstairants et boutiques de la rue de Lausanne. Très propre et attentif à l'économie d'eau. Buffet petit dejeuner d'excellente qualité car que des produits frais et pour beaucoup de choses du terroir : Fromage Fribourgeois, charcuteries, yaourts de la Gruyère, birchermuesli, salade de fruits fraîche, omelette, bacon, viennoiseries, pains frais, toasts et merveilleux jus d'orange pressé (enfin !) Bonne literie. Excellente insonorité :) (on entend pas la circulation, ni les chambres voisines). Pour parquer, la carte à 12.- /24h permet de se garer devant ou autour de l'hôtel sur les places blanches à horodateur ainsi que dans tout Fribourg, parfait ! On reviendra.

Lovely hotel. The best breakfast! Wonderful comfy bed mmmm so good where do you get those pillows??!! Friendly and kind staff. Wifi not good on one of the days but then it was great again on my last day. Perfect location near the old town and super bars and restaurants nearby. Best place to stay in Fribourg no question.
