Good location in Old Town, appr. one kilometer from the railway station. We stayed in the annex, our room was renovated. The breakfast was nice, but nothing special. No lobby bar. A lot of nice restaurants and cafes nearby.

The hotel location is fantastic with everything in walking distance and a decent breakfast buffet. The Apartment room we booked was very spacious and great for the family. Several downside though to be aware of. First the hotel is in a no car zone, so you have to park a half a mile away and schlep all your stuff there. Then, the elevator goes only to the 3rd floor and that room is on the 4th. Finally, the room has no AC. It was very hot when we were there, so it gets a bit uncomfortable. We opened all the windows and then you hear all the noise from everybody partying in old Zurich and it gets quite loud.

This place was amazing! Traveling with friends, we booked the Junior Suite and it was perfect! Comfortable, spacious, clean- and the best part- we had a private rooftop terrace with incredible views!! Check in/ check out were super easy, and the included breakfast was really delicious. It’s located in a cute area and very walkable to everything. We would’ve stayed here longer if we could have. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

We opened all the windows and then you hear all the noise from everybody partying in old Zurich and it gets quite loud.

Great location for sure. Pretty close walking distance to a lot of places in Zurich. If you're coming from US, you might agree with what I say. If you're European, you're probably used to what im talking about. Everything else besides location is sub par for the price. Room is very very small, im one person and have barely any room to put my suitcase and move around. It's on the street, and even though it's not a main street, apparently people don't sleep here during the week, so you can still hear people downstairs yelling and laughing and talking and it goes to past midnight sometimes. Pillows are flat and thin, impossible to get a good night's sleep. Walls are paper thin and I'm currently dealing with a very noisy person who won't put the volume down even after I asked. No AC, which apparently you do need in October here. And opening the window is impossible because you can hear people outside. Breakfast buffet is fine but very pricey. So if you're a light sleeper in your late 30s or more, this won't work for you. If you're a college student who could sleep anywhere, you'll be fine.

The front desk was not staffed when arrived to hotel around 11 am. This made check in a bit difficult. As well, there was no one there at check out. I wanted to use a different credit card to pay for our room vs. the card I used to reserve our room. With on staff there, this was not possible. Kind of a hassle. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food and a very friendly owner.

No AC, which apparently you do need in October here. And opening the window is impossible because you can hear people outside. Breakfast buffet is fine but very pricey. Great hotel in the old town. A little over a block to the main road along the river, or uphill to wander the streets of the old town. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was really nice and a nice big bathroom. The restaurant at the hotel looked good and next time I'll try it. Will definitely stay again.
