Very convenient for the messe right across the road. The room is ok but furniture is showing signs of good wear. It’s nice the window opens but not so the public transport announcements and road noise that then ruin any chance of a peaceful night. Aircon is weak at best and the provided fan noisy.

The hotel is layed out for business clientele. They did not have AC but they did have a cooling fan. The comforter on the bed was for a twin and not a queen and hadn't been washed. You could not make coffee in the room nor could you get it from the lobby or breakfast bar until they opened.

The fact that you can't set the air conditioner any lower than 5 degrees of the outside air temperature was a real issue for us. We got unlucky and a visited during a warm spell, with high temps in the low 90's. Consequently, we could only set our room A/C is 5 degrees cooler which was not cutting it. Makes it hard to sleep and really puts a damper on your stay in Zurich. With that said, it is not a rule of the hotel, rather a city ordinance in order to combat global warming and be more green.

Worst experience of my life. No one to pick up the call at room service, housekeeping despite calling 20 times. At 1130pm, the receptionist came and told us to keep our 2 year old quiet else they will come back and take action. Such low level of service and basic decency. I had heard that switzerland hotel staff are rude but experienced it 1st hand.
