Greeting on arrival not friendly - felt rushed and disinterested in answering enquiries of the local area. Rooms were of a basic standard. Pool was filthy - wouldn’t dip my toe in it - and we were there in summer during a heatwave. Didn’t look like it had been cleaned for quite a while. A very ordinary stay.

Room was spacious and clean. The room was on the ground floor backing the main road and was noisy in the evening and early morning. The pool was dirty and unusable which was a disappointment as the weather was warm. The location of the hotel was quite good as it was about a ten minute walk to the town centre and a further five minute walk to the water. The price for two nights, including breakfast, was very reasonable. Staff were nice.

Pool isn’t at all what it looks like in the photos, it’s small and the water is a green colour. Rooms are clean enough but very basic. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies. Bed wasn’t overly comfortable but suitable to sleep in. Somewhere very basic to lay your head at night!

I liked that it is very close to GHMBA stadium and had good dining and hotels close by. I also had a puncture, and the Tyre center was only meters away from the motel. The only minor issue is that the parking spaces lacked a bit of room when opening your car doors.

We stayed at this property after arriving off the Spirit of Tasmania. Roughly a 10 minute drive from the terminal and fairly central to restaurants and cafes within driving distance. They do have their own restaurant next door but it was closed on the night we were there. Reception closes at 6 p.m. but you can make prior arrangements for a late check in. Access to the key was easy. Our room was a reasonable size, the bed was comfortable, water hot and WiFi good. It was also nice to have a sofa to sit on. Parking is on the premises with no designated spots. If you have mobility issues, make sure you request a ground floor unit. Would recommend.

If it wasn’t for the state of the shower, this would have been acceptable accommodation. Sadly the shower had mould especially on the shower frame where dried out mould had not been removed.

Check in was great. Allowed me to access the room earlier and she was helpful. However, on entry to the room it was filthy. A large hairball in the entry, shower was black with mould and the door to the shower was broken so barely hanging on. The top part of the shampoo holder fell off and missed my toe by centimetres. The towels were threadbare (could literally see through them) and the bed sheets were so hard they were crispy. The curtains were missing most of their hooks so we were awake at sunrise due to the light. We had to dodge a collection of trolleys leading up the stairs and piles of rubbish. And to top off the experience, there was a family of pigeons who spent the entire night doing what pigeons do...loudly.

This is our go to hotel now when we visit Geelong. Perfect location, spotlessly clean and has everything we need. We did have a glitch with power this visit (there is a sign requesting not to use kettle with toaster etc which we ensured) but the staff were very helpful.

If you’re looking for a no frills overnight stay that gets the job done then this place is ok. It’s very much an older style motel that does need a spruce up. The room we stayed in was functional and had comfortable beds, but as for the decor and bathroom well as an eighties child it did bring back memories!

It doesn't advertise to have any stars, but I would happily give it 3 stars. Everything was great except: 1. Mattress wasn't comfortable. 2. Lights were Fluoro, so they were quite dim IMHO. The aircon was great, the TV was too small, old (not smart TV) and only 720p. I couldn't get anything to run off my USB stick / HDD, so I was stuck with FTA TV channels.

We have stayed at a number of properties in NSW, SA and Victoria during our current trip and this rates as the best motel we have stayed in. As a result of this motel we are planning our next trip to Geelong only. The guy at reception was extremely helpful and when we asked if we could change our room to a ground floor room, he obliged but also gave us a room upgrade and at no extra cost. Highly recommend this motel.

Customer Service on point! I was stuck working late on a video shoot and had not yet checked in. (My fault) James called me to confirm my arrival time and inform me that no-one would be in the office after 6. He organized for the keys to be left in the lockbox for a late check-in. The room was clean and temperate and I had no need for the A/C after it being a reasonably warm day. I had been out in the sun and driving up and down Great Ocean Road doing filming for a video project. The room was a perfect place to collapse and feel safe after a long day. I have just booked to stay again, later this week, for a separate work related trip in Leopold.

On arrival i was slightly early but i was checked in by the friendly and helpful lady on reception. She later willingly helped me with a couple of small issues. The room was really clean and the lovely shower had plenty of hot water. The microwave, fridge etc were very useful. I had everything i needed and more. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee was excellent. The standout feature was the friendliness and helpfulness of the lovely staff. This is a great location when arriving from Melbourne on the bus as the stop is a short walk down the road. Also a reasonable walk from Geelong waterfront.

Manager has a superior attitude. I'm sure the rest of the staff are fine but in 50 years of staying in motels/hotels for over 30 nights a year iI have never encountered anything like I did at this Motel.

Convenient area, amenities are basic. Good value for money. Reception closes earlier than stated. Was there at 6.30pm and there was a “out for 30mins sign” put out. Came back at 7.30pm and the reception was closed already (weekday official closing timing should be 8pm). Had to call (thankfully I got a SIM card that can call AUS numbers) a number to get my room card.

Check in was friendly and courteous by a female staffer, as I booked online my partner didn’t realise that there was no credit card information available at the motel::: I chose this Motel as I was going into hospital the next morning for surgery, and it was within walking distance for my partner to visit:: as I was in hospital my partner decided to have a meal delivered to his room from the restaurant next to the motel which he just assumed would be charged to our credit card ::: I got the most rudest phone call from I assume from the owner demanding my credit card details be given to him to pay for the meal, I tried to explain to him that I was in hospital & didn’t have my credit card with me, well he just started yelling at me that he needed to be paid straight away, I’m recovering from having surgery and I’ve got this hot head yelling at me over the phone, so I hung up on him rang my partner and told him to ring rude man !!! and sort it out which he did & he also got abused, all for $55 which was a communication error by me to my partner as to booking our accommodation online::: would I stay there again ::: NO :::

the stairs to the upstairs room were closed and it looked like they had been closed for some time. This necessitated dragging suitcases up and along the corridor - not easy for some. Also, the website promised breakfast would be available but was advised when we arrived the dining room was shut. Having this available was the reason we booked Admiralty Inn. The website should be changed to reflect this otherwise it is false advertising.
