Convenient location. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel does not own a gym. The gym charges EUR 15 to use. Very inconvenient. I would normally let everything go, but one waitress, in her late fourties, with a man`s haircut, grey hair was very rude and this is totally unforgiveable in a service industry. She also attacked us verbally in the parking garage. I stayed at the hotel with my wife and son. I own my own business, if one of my staff members would do this to our customers, this employee would be terminated immediately. I hope this honest review will be published and management will take action.

The Madison Hotel is a very nice, easy accessible hotel in the heart of Hamburg’s Altstadt (old city). The hotel was impeccably clean, the staff super friendly and willing to help with any questions. Our room was spacious and ready upon our arrival. The hotel has onsite parking and the Madison phase a partnership with the fitness center directly next door. We visited the gym twice and were beyond impressed with their facility. We also ordered room service one evening from the on site restaurant, and the food was delicious and delivered to our room in very timely manner. We would definitely stay at The Madison again and would highly recommend it for all the reasons stated.

the staff at every level was wonderful. We stayed for 5 nights so having a washer and dryer down the hall (at no cost was super helpful) since we were traveling for a month. There is an onsite restaurant which is convenient but so many other options for more interesting dining. It is not right in the center of old town but short and easy walking distance to the old town and MANY other interesting attractions. We would come back here.

Sauberkeit der Zimmer sowie Personal ist klasse. Ein Anruf beim Housekeeping und Kochset für die Küchrnzeile wird kostenlos geliefert. Ebenso ein Podest damit ein Kind an das Waschbecken kommt. Hotel wird bei allen Plattformen mit Pool angegeben. Hier habe ich zum 1. Mal erlebt das Hotelgäste (Freitag-Sonntag) 15€ Tagespreis für den Pool Wellnessbereich bezahlen müssen. Diese Tatsache hätte ich auch noch akzeptiert. Das Kinder unter 12 Jahren im Poolbereich nicht erlaubt sind, ist nicht zu akzeptieren. Diese Prämissen sollten bei den verschiedenen Plattformen ersichtlich sein. Auch wenn es auf offiziellen Hotelseite zu finden ist. Habe für mein Kind ein Hotel mit Pool , in Expedia gefiltert. Halte das für irreführend das hier das Madison Hotel auftaucht.

Wir verbrachten 7 Tage in Hamburg. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe einiger Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt und ist gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Ebenfalls die U- und S-Bahnstationen. Das Zimmer ist für einen längeren Aufenthalt sehr gut geeignet, da es grosszügig ausgelegt ist. Kochnische, Kaffeemaschine, Geschirr und Abwaschtrog, alles vorhanden. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, der Roomservice zuvorkommend und es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Fitness und Wellnes ist gleich nebenan und kann zeitweise gratis besucht werden. Wir können dieses Hotel allen Reisenden empfehlen.

Trotz Angabe „bitte ruhiges Zimmer“ die Nr. 302 bekommen. Direkt über TG Einfahrt und Müllcontainer-Platz. Jeden Morgen (auch Samstags) wurde sehr früh (06.30) Müll abgeholt. An Ausschlafen war nicht zu denken.

We stayed at The Madison 2 days before and after for our 7 day cruise. Coming from the US, one of the concierge, Mr Fingers, prearranged obtaining info on a Christmas Oratorio at the nearby St Michael’s Church for us. We had many questions for him about transportation, nearby restaurants, taxi service to the docks and airport, etc. He eased our minds with responsive and timely answers before we ever left. This was our first trip to Europe and being seniors were concerned about many things. When we arrived at The Madison, the entire staff was helpful. The studio room was perfect for our needs. On Christmas Eve Day our cruise ship returned to Hamburg at 7:00 am. We returned to The Madison at 9:00am to store our bags until the 3:00pm checkin. They gave us our room immediately upon arriving which was so much appreciated. After attending a concert later in the day, we returned to our room to find a lovely Christmas basket of fruit and candies. We found the restaurant downstairs (Marley’s) very good. And across the street is The Amber Cafe which was great for soups, sandwiches and pastries. This hotel is highly recommended for cost and service.

Das Zimmer war groß und geräumig, ebenso das Bad! Sehr sauber und sehr freundliches Personal. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen war ein spätes Mittagessen (Teriyaki Wok) im Restaurant, nach dem ich einige Zeit auf der Toilette verbringen musste. Wenn wir wieder in Hamburg sind würden wir wieder hierher zurückkommen aber aufs Essen im Restaurant verzichten!

This property is in an area that promotes walking as most places you want to see & do are mostly within 20 mins. The Jr. Suite was large & well equipped. The bed was very comfortable plus they give you a pillow menu. It was equipped w/a 2 burner stove, a mini fridge, glassware, flatware & dishes were provided. Also provided was a coffee maker. The breakfast buffet is well worth the 26 euro, but you could also order off a menu. The selection was beyond what I normally get w/an included breakfast. Staff were very helpful. I definitely would stay at the Madison again if I get back to Hamburg.
