Overall on a 16 day stay with the H4 being close to where I needed to be i was happy. Unfortunately during a 16 day stay things happen and they did all brought to receptions attention. The room was fine but the bathroom was below standard and when having a shower the bathroom flooded, I had to improvise a solution myself which got me by ok. Surely this sort of problem was already known by the hotel. The bathroom was sub standard and also had mold clearly visible. My room was on a every 3rd day clean cycle unfortunately after 5 days not being cleaned I had to ask reception to intervene which they did then it was cleaned 2 days in a row and on the second clean my room door was left completely open after the cleaners had finisehd, not ajar but completely open, also reported to reception and totally unacceptable. Reception management did mention they would talk to the hotel manager and organise a refund, that has not happened yet. Breakfast at the H4 was great as always.

We stayed fir just 1 night and arrived at midnight. The room where we stayed at was on the second floor front-facing. It was quite rundown and stinks. Cleanliness... 2 out of 5. And as previous reviews, it is outdated. The carpet that covered the whole room needs to be changed; it's hevily stained and worn out. There are stains on the ceiling of the bathroom. Smoking area is just in front of the building so when you open to get some fresh air, the smell of cigerette immediately gets in. What is great though is the breakfast buffet. I commend the breakfast personnel for being keen on making sure there's ample amount of food for everyone. Reception personnel needs improvement on being cordial, and greeting guests with a smile any time. Around the hotel, the roads were under construction; not the hotel's fault as it may be a different situation in a couple of months. There's parking underground. Be careful when opening your car's hatch/liftgate as the ceiling is a bit low.

Quiet and convenient location for a brief stop passing through Hamburg. The room could use some new paint but otherwise it was spacious and well equipped and the breakfast was very good. We were pleased with our stay.

Really amazing breakfast. Nice and helpful staff. Good mattresses, quiet, and convenient parking on the garage. The Hotel is huge but is a bit skuffed up on the floors. The carpets in halls and rooms need an overhaul or a good cleaning.
