Regal Hongkong Hotel

The room was good enough and I loved big bus tub for family room. Cons was that since there was no lounge space, I cannot rest anywhere after checkout.

I enjoyed being here. The hotel is beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful and flexible with my hotel plans. The shuttle bus from the airport Regal Hotel was so helpful to be able to use.

We stayed in a club room which was a little tired but we understand the hotel is undertaking a refurbishment of all rooms. The staff were wonderful - friendly, attentive and very efficient. The buffet breakfast had a reasonable range of choices and the club lounge was well stocked with drinks and snacks. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and is a few minutes walk to Causeway Bay MTR. There is a shuttle bus to and from the airport which is a one hour drive. Recommended.

Everything was as expected for the price. However, the hotel charged me $130HKD for a shuttle bus ride to the airport. This service was free for all those who stayed in this hotel (at least a week ago when I had a room here).

Initial check-in was poor. I needed to extend my stay by 1 day but reception found it too difficult so had to book another night on-line. The room assigned smelt strongly of smoke but when I complained they changed it immediately. Overslept the following morning and missed breakfast but when I mentioned it to the managed (Foster) he arranged to provide a drink and snack immediately in the executive lounge. Very impressed!!! The shuttle service to the airport was a bonus.

The lobby floor is very small. There is no chairs and sofa on the lobby floor which is very inconvenient. Also pretty old facilities.

Been to HK so many times and often wondered what this hotel was like. Enjoyed ourstay for 9days. Pool area is nice and hotel location convenient for everything. Definitely would stay again.

When I went in December, the temperature control in the room was broken so my room was too warm for comfort. I was told it was a central problem so changing rooms would not have made a difference. I liked having laundry services included but the housekeeping was inconsistent. At one point, the person took all the dirty towels and did not give us new ones so I was constantly calling housekeeping for stuff. The location of the hotel was very nice though and there is an airport shuttle which is convenient.

The Executive Suite that I booked was less than a standard room other than a bit more space. The room was smelly with old carpet and sofa bed has multiple stains. Bathroom conditions are horrible with shower accessories that are fallen apart. The check in was supposed to be on 31st floor as I have done that for so many time for the past years. But apparently that service has been cancelled without notice. The breakfast place located on the 31st floor exclusive to executive suites again was closed. The overall value booking an executive suite was absolutely ridiculous. I regret to book this for my business trip based on your false advertisement. You should put the correct information on your website. Overall, I was very disappointed to stay at your Regal HK for 9 nights feeling I am on a cheap 2 stars hotel.

This is probably a great hotel in the 70s. The carpeting is disgusting. They had a dehumidifier plugged in right near our room as water was leaking on the carpet. The rooms are pretty dusty and just plain yuck. The toilet seat was the wiener decapitated as it would fall down randomly and could cut off your wiener. As for the tub and the shower both had terrible control of the hot or cold of the water, especially the tub. The tub would only do hot water you couldn’t get it to do cold or warm. The gentleman that checked us in was miserable. This might’ve once been a five star hotel but that was definitely a long time ago. The bed was also super uncomfortable.

Rooms were very dated and quite dirty

Everything is good except the hotel condition. The check-in staff give me an upgrade higher floor room which is appreciated. we originally want to book one more night because of the good service. Unfortunately , we decide to move next day when we step in the room . The room is dirty, smell bad, sticky bedding/towel, and the bathroom condition/ cleanliness is terrible. Can’t sleep all night because of the room smell and bed bug.

No aircondition for this hotel. How terrible very smelly with smoking in both room and corridor. Our toilet bowl is dirty with stain. It’s disgusting. I did complain but said was full house. Cannot change other rooms. Due to no choice with no air conditioning, I have to open the window. However windows are only can open a little bit gap. Very noisy with traffic running. I won’t come again this hotel although it is very good and handy location

The only clean things in my room were the bath towels and bed sheets. The bathroom wasn't that clean, neither was the carpet or the furniture. The hotel is very outdated. Obviously, it's a cheap hotel, but I expected more cleanliness.

I found there has big insects in the room

This is not a 5 star hotel. The hotel itself is outdated and definitely needs an upgrade. The room I stayed in had a damp smell to it. They have humidifiers placed on corridors of the floor so I’m pretty sure the hotel staff is aware of the problem. The shower hardwares were covered in limescale and the silicon in the wash basin had black mold surrounded which is unacceptable. The glass shelves where tea cups were held was covered in dust. I didn’t feel comfortable to use the kettle or cups at all. I didn’t complain as I knew I wasn’t gonna get my money back, so I just had to put up with it for 2 weeks which made my stay very uncomfortable to be fair. I would not recommend and I wouldn’t go back in the future. The hotel is located in a very convenient area of causeway bay so if they can just spend money to renovate the whole hotel it could be better.

Sorry to say we were disappointed. This cannot be a 5 star hotel. Very tired, needs serious modernisation. I have no problem with a classic look if it’s done well. This hotel just looks like it needs a refurb. Not the happiest or attentive staff either. Such a shame as we booked 7 nights there. Poor WIFI as well.

Worst bed I’ve ever slept in ever at a hotel. Back was in pain every morning. Also they would make our room even when we had do not disturb.

Location is convenient but hotel is rather dated in terms of its decor. Room furnitures are dated and impractical. The sitting room sofas are stiff and hard like a stale roll. The sofa surface is worn and no soft cushions are provided. Also, the TV is placed too high making viewing very uncomfortable. It’s also dated, an old standard resolution TV only. It n short, all furnitures in rooms are dated and impractical for comfort.

My room is on 10th floor, and the internet signal was very poor. Almost every night between 6pm to midnight, we can't connect to the hotel Wi Fi !!

호텔 위치는 최상. 방 상태는 OK 하지만 이제는 많이 낡아 새로운 단장이 필요한 듯. 방안의 습도가 너무 높은 것이 최대의 단점. (1월의 방 습도가 90이상. 모든 것이 눅눅해 짐.)

Our go to hotel when in Hong Kong. Great location and you can find buses from Airport and near MTR too. Rooms are a little dated but more spacious compared to most hotels in Hong Kong.

There has been no renovations or any changes to the rooms since my last stay at this hotel in 1994. This is really disappointing.

Helpful staff

The property is pretty old and staffs service is very slow. They are not friendly and you feel not welcome.

We had a great time in HongKong over new year. The hotel is in a great location, very safe and busy at all hours. The service is top quality

Receptionist was rude. And some bellboy was also rude.

Good location near subway station, restaurants, shopping. Staff was not well trained to serve hotel guests, such as denied daily room cleaning service requests when a guest staying for 7 nights.

First during check in we were given a paper of the privileges but staff didn’t explain anything and just said check out 12pm. So we read the letter to us and asked to extend to later check out. The guy on the phone then proceeded to say that we have to get the key cards re validated. So we did as told and went to the counter where we were told it was not necessary but gave us new cards anyway and told us it was noted that we were checking out at 330pm. 2pm on check out day, our key cards didn’t work and I couldn’t get into the room. When I went down to concierge to check, instead of checking and clarifying, staff just shouted check out is at 12. I said I have the suite and I already extended check out which was within what you as Regal Hongkong offered me. Then said the key cards will always fail. Then why did your staff tell me actually I didn’t need to validate again and worse issue me new cards that still didn’t fix the issue. I did not appreciate the tone of the staff at all. Rude and condescending. Breakfast was also a joke. But this alone would make me rate this the worst hotel ever I cannot even imagine the regular rooms. Please DO NOT stay here.

Right in heart of Causeway Bay this hotel has a perfect location. Rooms are big but need updating. Saw they are refurbishing some room in Q3 2024. Good value for money

Our go to hotel when in Hong Kong. Great location and you can find buses from Airport and near MTR too. Rooms are a little dated but more spacious compared to most hotels in Hong Kong.

The hotel is located in the heart of Causeway bay where shopping centres are and ample restaurants. I can go anywhere with tram stop right at the doorstep, MTR within walking distance and bus stops everywhere.

Very convenient location. Upgraded to executive suite which was outstanding. Only problem was the breakfast which was very subpar

Food is ok, less choices

The lunch buffet is not worth $380. Not much of a selection.

Like the dining options. Food quality excellent especially the Regal Palace Chinese Restaurant Didn’t like the toilet flushing button. Awkward position, press sideway instead of down and need to hold the button for a long while in order to flush well.

Wonderful location , staff are nice and helpful , breakfast was good. However , hotel in certain parts smells damp and it seems like parts of the hotel have reopened since the pandemic such the VIP area whee we stayed
