Swinton Hotel

Where to begin.. one of our group is on crutches, the lift was out of order, the stairs we had to use were uneven with loose carpet -dangerous, a step in the corridor that only had a warning sign after the step, we then entered our room no.10, to discover smashed plug sockets and phone outlets, a leaking radiator that had a cloth stuffed behind it to soak the leak that had clearly been there a while -orange stains on the skirting, radiator was cold on top and only warm on the bottom. One plug socket was blocked and couldn’t be used. The bathroom.. a mould covered ceiling, a broken shower door and loose toilet seat, a leaking tap and broken toilet roll holder that left screws sticking out. The fire doors were propped open with rags stuffed under them throughout the hotel, we had to return our keys whenever we went out of the hotel, with no explanation as to why, which left us feeling as though our belongings wouldn’t be safe in this god awful hotel. If we could rate this hotel in the minus, we would have done. We will not be recommending or returning to this hotel. If anything we will be warning people away. Nothing about our stay matched what we had seen or read online.

Accueil très chaleureux dans ce petit hôtel L’ascenseur était en panne mais le monsieur de l’accueil s’est proposé de monter les valises Chambre 23 La télévision fonctionnait mal il y a des coupures nombreuses et pas de chaînes françaises Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner une fois mais sommes arrivées juste avant 9h et l’employée ne semblait pas ravie car elle rangeait tout et commençait à tout nettoyer Sinon hôtel dans une rue calme près de la gare Donc parfait pour quelques nuits

While the staff were very helpful and pleasant, Both my friend and I ended up with bed bug bites from our stay. Expedia needs to stop offering the Swinton Hotel until this issue is addressed.

O local é bom, os funcionários muito atenciosos. O que ficou a desejar foi o fato do elevador não estar funcionando em nenhum momento das minhas 3 diárias e me pareceu que não funcionava há muito tempo. O Box do banheiro é muito pequeno apesar de ter espaço para ser maior. Mas era tudo muito limpo, todos os dias disponibilizavam água.
