It was all good and pretty much as expected for the price. The WiFi had to be paid for contrary to the description but it was good when connected. The TV could be bigger.

Room very tired but clean and on top floor. Slow check in. Room key expired for no reason! Couldn’t get in hotel late on - had to ring for assistance. They charge £5 for WiFi!!

The Carlton is a bare bones hotel, meaning no frills. It provides a fan, electric tea kettle, TV. Internet is an extra charge. There is no refrigerator or microwave. There were too many beds in the room, leaving very little space to move around. It was clean. The bathroom was a wet bath where everything gets wet when showering.

Stairs to upper floor with luggage was very challenging and no air flow in the room as window was tiny and not even a fan was offered for relief....

The location is pretty good - we got the triple room. It was ok, they agreed to store our luggage after check out - this was a great perk. We could roam London luggage free!

Five pounds for a day to charge me for internet

Great location. Hotel has no lift so if you want to avoid stairs request room 205. No fridges in the rooms but front desk will hold small things you need to keep cold in their fridge at the reception. Rooms are small. Beds are super uncomfortable and springy. Shower is combined with the toilet and sink, shower curtain will stick to you while you shower. No shampoo, only bar soap, and pink industrial grade soap as body gel. Only one towel per person no hand towel or face towel. They “clean the room” every day but it’s basically re making the bed with the same linen you have sleeping in the duration of your stay. No washed sheets/linen for the duration of your stay, but they do replace your towel. They also don’t clean your bathroom, toilet and won’t change your cups in the room. Carpet is already sticky and smelly they don’t vacuum it during your stay. They have a window with no screen so bugs will come into your room. Room is super out dated but does have a tv from the early 2000’s that you can only see if you’re sitting up. Walls are an extremely dirty with coffee and “other” stains. Fire alarm went off at 6am. Scared the crap out of us. Super loud in the room as they have a mid 1900’s style fire alarm set up in the rooms. We went to front desk for guidance and one other lady had come down and he told us “all good” with no explanation as to why that happened or if there was indeed a fire. Great wee hotel near pimico tube station victoria line. Lovely area we felt safe here, couple of bars and corner shops.used victoria and Piccadilly lines mostly. Buckingham palace Big Ben westminister in walking distance.It was 30 degrees when we stayed so small balconey and room fan were very well appreciated.Staff good .extra charges tho for leaving bags and wi-fi £5 for 2 bags .Small bathroom but very clean.

Very basic. Our room was up 4 full flights of stairs, there is no lift and not even a question of whether we could manage, if we needed help with our luggage or anything. The hotel charges for Wifi (£5 for 2 devices) which is ridiculous in 2023. We only had 3 towels for 4 guests and the room was dusty. It's a good location though, very quiet street (for London) and close to lots of sights. Would recommend to stay in one of the other hotels on the same street and give this one a miss.

Location was good for bus route to go see nearby attractions and close to Victoria station. No elevator so if you have luggage or mobility issues it is not ideal. Room was dated but clean. Bed was comfortable. No air condition. It was ok for one night on a stop over. Would not book any longer.

You get what you pay for in London. I mistakenly booked based off of the bad Canadian dollar. Assumed that nightly rentals between $161 and $191 a night would get us a decent hotel. The room was awful. Moldy bathroom, bedroom in need of TLC. Simple as wiping down walls would be a start. Then deal with the paint damage, non working bathroom fan and black mold throughout bathroom. Grout between tiles falling apart leaving major areas for water damage. Nice staff at front desk

Large room, small bathroom, dust on top of and behind cabinets, cobwebs in the corners, panel loose hiding the bathroom pipe work, hole in wall under dressing table, some marks on the bedding, noise coming from room above squeaking floor boards and not very noise absorbing, area located in was brilliant for getting to the underground and sights

No elevator, had to carry bags up a floor. Charged us for early check in even though rooms were readily available. No maps at reception. Way overcharged for a taxi when leaving, probably because they got a kickback. Sewer gas smell in bathroom, extremely small bathroom. Would not recommend.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Bedding was fresh and clean. Room and shower room clean and tidy.

Bed sheets and pillow case had marks on it. I also found hair in bed.Shampoo sachet hard to open.

Good location, in the heart of London. Local amenities and transport are excellent. Hotel itself is not well maintained. Broken light, leaky shower, damaged walls and doors. £100/night room was absolutely tiny. I could reach either side with a single step forward. Bathroom was... functionally okay, but again very cramped. Toilet is basically in the shower. No AC so very hot in summer. No window lock, despite being 2nd floor, I'd expect one in central London. Staff were nice enough, a little ignorant and head down in their phones but polite when needed.

It was definitely a basic hotel, however it was clean and comfortable. The shower was beyond tiny but did provide hot water! It’s great location.

Single glazed window right by the bed made it impossible to get the room warm. Bathroom is basically a caravan shower room dumped in a hotel room. Did the job but wouldn’t stay here for more than 1 night again.

I appreciate this is a cheap stay but the bed was so uncomfortable I considered moving hotels in the middle of the night. Huge dents in the mattress and bricks for pillows. Walls a paper thin and the fan in the bathroom was so loud and there was no way to turn it off. Basic facilities were provided though.

The room was really nice, large and airy it was kept ommaculate. Only problem was that i had to go up two high floors, whuch after wondering atound the city, was a bit demanding fir my age. But ror younger people tjis is an excellent place fod yhe price.

Budget hotel and does what it says on the tin. Very basic and feel it could do with freshening up. Bathroom is tiny and shower is basic. Was like a wet room and we found it difficult to shut the door if using the toilet. Bedding and towels very clean and room was cleaned while we were there. We wanted a budget hotel and this is what it is so we were satisified with what we got

Handy Hotel for the tube at Pimlico. Only one stop from Victoria Station. Reasonable price with 24hr reception. No breakfast. Slightly odd "wet room style" shower. Just needed a place to sleep, so fine for the weekend.

It was not possible to take a shower without the whole bathroom floor getting soaked. It was like an RV bathroom, where the toilet is almost in the shower.

Although their website says FREE wifi, they DO NOT OFFER FREE WIFI, IT IS PAID (£5) as of my stay in April 2025. When I went up the stairs to the room on the top floor, the window in the room was open and there were big flies flying around. I was exhausted from traveling, but my first mission in the room was to get rid of the flies. The young guy at the reception (who looked like a student) was asleep when I checked out in the early morning and woke up when I walked through the front desk. I won't stay here again unless I absolutely have to.

Check in was easy and simple, the receptionist was polite and informative. The room was clean and neat. Ideal for us as we justed wanted somewhere to sleep for the night. Had a good sleep and helped ourselves to the complimentary tea and coffee. For the price we paid we were happy.

Absolutely dreadful service. I arrived before 9pm, rang the bell several times, no answer. A guest entering let me in, nobody at reception - rang the phone number several times, it went to voicemail. Three lots of guests arrived, all of us waiting, still nobody showed up. One guest managed to find a different number and eventually someone turned up - he looked at us all and said it’s not my night on, went off looking for someone, he eventually came back on his own - no apology, very rude and began checking us in. He gave me a room card for the fourth floor - I walked up 8 flights of stairs, used the room card only to find the room already occupied - this happened to other guests who were waiting. I eventually got a room but didn’t feel safe - slept with a chair up against the door. Room smelt and felt dirty. Avoid at all costs

A somewhat frustrating experience overall despite being fairly reasonably priced for the area - roughly £60 for the night but booked well in advance and midweek so perhaps the low-ish price makes sense. Disembarking the tube, we called ahead to enquire about the possibility of an early check in only to be told it would be £30 extra - fair enough, I thought, and we politely declined and agreed to wait until 2pm… I then noticed a sign on reception stating £20 for early check in when we arrived! Not great!! The receptionist was a bit short with us and rushed us through the check in process quite unnecessarily - business didn’t appear to be booming… and we were also informed the double room I had booked was in fact a “family room” on the lower floor. I stress at this point, this was NOT an upgrade. Typically, you’d expect a family room to have furniture beyond a double bed, three single beds laid out concentration camp style in an adjoining space PLUS a single chair but not at the Carlton! The comfiest place in the entire room happened to be the toilet located in a shower room that may as well have been tagged onto the main room with duct tape. We departed for our evening plans and returned a little after 11pm to a non-functioning room key. Okay, fine.. these things happen. Off to reception for help where an exceptionally loud resident had discovered the £5 WiFi charge - she demanded a refund from the staff member should the WiFi prove to be non-functional and he took the

I had 200 pounds stolen from my room and the staff couldn't have cared less. If you stay here don't leave anything in your room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Were able to help with directions to many attractions. A staff member was a great help when my car service that I had arranged cancelled very last minute

When we arrived, we found out that half our mattress’ springs were broken. The receptionist resolved the issue the following day by giving us another room with balcony.

Great location, felt safe walking around at night and early morning. Well lit streets. Very near Victoria Station. Short walk to Buckingham. Coffee shops, small groceries are nearby. Small room and bathroom but good for short trips and just a place to sleep. Staff is friendly.

Budget hotel close to Victoria Train & Bus station

For the price in central London it was brilliant. Fantastic spot for the needs I had, right near the tube. I would definitely stay here again.

Average hotel clean basic room ideal for London centre Westminster and Victoria

Very compact room in a small hotel. No lift, so have to carry luggage up 2 floors. Good location with food options around. Tube station at about 10min walk. Bus stop across hotel. Nice street with white cherry blossoms- March. Good for few nights stay with comfy bed and blankets.

Budget and basic hotel but perfect for an overnight stay in London at a cheaper cost. Clean and comfortable room, plenty of space. Great location for victoria coach station and underground.

Nice , quiet Hotel in a nice quiet neighborhood. Very kind staff. Good size room and comfortable beds. Small but very nice bathroom . All kinds of shops , coffeebars and resturants close to Hotel. Walkingdistanse to Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly /Oxford street.

We had a few days exploring London and the hotel was in a central area to Westminster where our plans were focused.

We had a wonderful 2-bed room, a mini-small shoebox, pleasantly arranged. We didn't miss anything: 24-hour bus, shopping, food and coffee options in the immediate vicinity. Victoria Central within walking distance.

Such lovely friendly staff, you can pay for early check in which is great. They have cold drinks at a reasonable price at reception day and night. Only thing not really a problem but may be good to change is the shower cause it’s small and sloppy when wet a no slip flat in the shower and a bath mat outside would be beneficial other then that lovely hotel will definitely be back

I reserved this hotel because at the web site said that a small breakfast was included. When we arrived they told us there was not breakfast.

Stayed there two adults and two pre-teen kids. The hotel has a nice location near two Tube-station. It's clean, but not modern. Rooms are not spacious, but acceptable. We did not have any issues with noise, but you can hear anything in the room next-door. And do note, that there's no breakfast option !

This hotel should not advertise that it offers breakfast and wifi There is no breakfast included in the price There is no WiFi unless you pay The rooms are shabby and old , and is real need of an upgrade The beds are incredibly old and uncomfortable. The bathroom is shocking , tiny space with smelly and old shower curtain. Not hygienic at all The staff are neither helpful or unhelpful Just sat there on their phones.
