I did not get the room I paid for I paid for a room with Haram view which is more expensive than other rooms and I was not compensated nor even an apology. In addition, it was showing that there are parking however i was surprised it is an hourly paid parking… extra hidden payment!!! Moreover, every time I am getting to my room it is like going in a maze, in addition in the correct way to my room not all lifts goes to my room level even though it has the floor button and all lifts are call by one button ending with waiting for 15 minutes after many pushing buttons attempts waiting for the correct lift. My stay was a total disappointment and will never get back to the hotel.. I am surprised how this hotel got 5 stars!!!

A nice located located right next to the masjid. Only issue was that the check in process was really slow. They had a shopping center located inside along with a large super market. Hotel restaurant situation was confusing.

The hotel is located right near Masjid an Nabawi, which makes this hotel popular. The hotel is very old, dated, the aesthetic and amenities feel antiquated from the late 90s. Service was friendly, housekeeping was helpful and the elevators were quick. Check-in took about 20/25 min and there was only 1 person in front of me, took a while, they had 5-6 people on reception but it was very slow. Near a supermarket, lost of food places, very central location, ideal hotel.

For the love god please upgrade your key system. I had to come to try bring desk and wait long time to reactivate my room keys. They kept saying it’s close to your phone and the card will never erased or something. I had to come down 3-4 Tom’s in one day to reactivate my card. Other than that it was an average hotel. Not the Movenpick I thought it would be.

Location is excellent. Convenience within the building excellent - grocery, restaurant, coffee, shops. There are two towers to this Hotel. One is worth the star rating and one is not. Be sure you are on the one that faces Nabawi if you want to relevant 5 star experience or take the lesser rate one and still enjoy the great location. Buffets we’re good with lots of variety.

Bathrooms are super dirty milldo in all walls in the Bathrooms. Furniture were broken. Phones were not working. TV was not working. Horrible services this hotel have to improve in everything 😪 😢

The Hotel isnt value for money. The shower cubicle is too small. The toilet had a permanent stench of urine. I found a bug on the bed. Dirt under the blankets. The coridor were unswept for the duration i was there for. I took videos with time stamp to see if it will get better. But no. Cleanliness left the chat. I stayed on the 19th to the 21st Ramdan 2025. Overall I was disappointed.

The hallways smelled like Lysol to mask the scent of the nasty smoke smell. Had to upgrade because the first room was disgusting and had a legit pin in the floor that cut my sons foot. Never going back.

Looks like its a road side motel. Not cleaned properly I’ve found tablets under the table. Beds and all furniture was like 50 years old. Kitchen items have very bad odour. Overall as a hotel 1/10 but location is 10/10

Other than it being very close to Masjid Nabawi it’s not a good hotel especially being the brand Mövenpick. I stayed in many many Mövenpick hotels all over the world and this is by far the worst hotel when it comes to cleanliness. The first two days we had problems with the toilet it was disgusting then finally on the third day they offered us a new room with a view. Something we was happy with, but after that night in the new room we notice in the morning the bedsheets have blood stains on them!! Wallahi we have never been so shocked before. Not only is it disgusting but it can be dangerous to touch other people’s blood. They told us sorry and supposedly it was a new cleaning lady who did our room and made a mistake. But how do you make that kinda mistake? They gave us a fruit/cake plater as a sorry but that don’t really help with the fact that it was blood in our bed. Stay away from this hotel. There are many many other hotels in the area for the same price.

The main advantage of this hotel is the close proximity to Al-masjid Al-Nabawi. However, this hotel is in dire need of an update. The walls in the shower were full of mold. For a 4-bed room, you would think that they would supply more than 2 towels at a time… disappointing accommodations.

Very close to haram. Further away from the Rawdah. Close to shopping and can get to the haram in less then 3-4 minutes walk . The room was small and was not kept well. If you’re looking for newer facility and modern this place isn’t it. However if it’s for accessibility and shopping this is ideal.

We booked this hotel for our umrah trip with family. I booked haram view and when we got there, they told us it wasnt booked as haram view however were able to upgrade us. The bathroom was so small and was not in the best shape. Wouldnt stay here again. Hilton and Marriott are across the street. Felt like a 3 star hotel instead of 5 stars. Paid almost $600 for a 2 night stay.

Loved the location of the property. But my room looked nothing like it does in the pictures! It was really old and run down, especially the bathrooms! Frame around mirror was broken, when taking a shower it made loud noise where my kids were scared to shower. They really need to post pictures of the actual rooms.

I had an incredibly disappointing stay at Anwar Al Movenpick Madina. If there were a negative star I would give that. From the moment I checked in, it was a series of frustrations. I was given the wrong room with no view just walls but booked a view room, and despite being in a non-smoking hotel, the entire place reeked of smoke. The smell was unbearable, and my baby, who has asthma, suffered greatly because of it. When I approached management about the issue, they were unhelpful and had a hard-to-get attitude. No resolution was offered, and the situation was brushed off. Room change was done but the same issues were present there too. They are right now acting super hard to get for my refund. We were eventually moved to two different rooms, but the smoke smell never went away. On top of that, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable—no cushion at all, just a hard surface that made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The housekeeper even told us not to mention the smoking issue to the front desk when he saw how disappointed we were. We checked out 2 hrs after checking in, after our 16hr journey. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED It felt like no one cared about our concerns. Overall, this hotel completely failed in both service and comfort, and I would not recommend it to anyone

Stayed in this hotel about 13 years ago and loved everything about the hotel: Closeness to Masjid Nabwi (literally at the door step), modern room suite, clean and friendly staff. When I visited this time, I decided to book same hotel and brought family along. Everything went smooth but felt, the room was not updated with time. Though clean and housed us four, but I was hoping hotel would be updated with time. May be tower B is lower quality than Towe A. Maybe?

Excellent service from start to finish, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and in really good condition. We lost a gold ring at the hotel and the staff found it and kept it for us until we returned - thank you for making our stay so pleasant! Will definitely come again!

I’ve never experienced such disorganisation and disrespect from a hotel. We arrived well before the official check‑in time and were told the room would be ready in an hour. An hour passed — nothing. Then we were told to wait another half hour. Still nothing. Even 20 minutes past the actual check‑in time, the staff were still insisting the room “wasn’t ready” and refused to take any responsibility. Instead of apologising or offering any kind of solution, the reception staff tried to defend themselves by claiming check‑in was at 5pm, even though it was already past that. No updates, no communication, and every time I asked for information, I had to queue up again and repeat the same questions like they’d never seen me before. The attitude at reception was absolutely unacceptable. Completely dismissive, uninterested in guest care, and lacking even basic courtesy. My child was struggling with the long wait and the chaotic environment, and still the staff showed no empathy or urgency. A truly disgraceful experience from start to finish. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone who expects even the slightest level of professionalism or respect.

They provided one towel for 4 guests. Single toilet paper and that run out during our stay. Requested more towels but not provided. Had to for 2 hours for the room to be ready after check in completed. Avoid this hotel.

We had a major hiccup with our reservation, but Brother Suhaib, the reservations manager, was extremely helpful, respectful, and kind to us. He was very understanding and was able to solve our problem in a timely manner. Br. Suhaib not only resolved our reservation issue but also gave us an upgrade to a very nice room with a Haram view, the best I've seen. My family and I are very thankful for his help, and in sha Allah, we will definitely stay at this hotel again due to his customer service. I will also recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Perfect location. Majid e Nabwi is literally 2 mins walk. Staff at the front desk always seems too relaxed & not very friendly or welcoming!! We had to wait more than 45 mins to check in & I wanted to speak to duty manager but I was offered an upgrade room. But there seems to be long queues at the front desk all the time!!

The location is just minutes away from the Haram which is probably the only positive of this place. The hotel says five star but their service is very bad, especially the check-in process. On an average it takes about 40 mins. They're either understaffed and/or very inefficient people. Moreso, the front desk lady asked me to wait in a line while I was checking out, that is, wait for another 40 mins to just check out? Are they kidding me?

Very close to the Masjid. Super convenient. You can go to the room between prayers, it only takes 3-4 minutes. Staff very polite and courteous. Hicham the restaurant manager was always present. Rooms are clean, bed was very comfortable. The only thing that could use an update is the bathroom.

We got a room very back of the hotel which easily adds 5 minutes to the walk to haram. Keep in mind the hotel may be in the "front row" of the hotels but it's at the end of the row which easily adds 5 to 6 minutes of walk to get inside the mosque. I think there are better options if you're looking for a close location.

Very close to Masjid-ul-Nabi. Hotel entrance and mall entrance gate opens to Masjid gate. Very walkable and great as it opens into ladies prayer area of masjid. All the good restaurants and shopping is located on this side of Madinah so Movinpick is an good location wise.

Our room has full haram view which was great. Room did needed a little wear and tear maintenance but it was pretty clean. Walk from hotel building exit door to masjid gates 327, 328 is less than a minute. Bin dawood is within the hotel building. Hotel staff is very co-operative.

Bathrooms need plumbing. Breakfast at restaurant service is terrible. Food quality does not meet the image of Moevenpck. I had to go to the reception to be serviced after calling for a plumber to come and repair the water flooding in the bathroom. Price is too high for the quality of service and food. Even 1 hour before breakfast closing time, dish was not refilled. No plates and cultures availabe for some time. I will never eat at the hotel again. Reception staff are excellent and very cooperative. Room was clean spacious.

The staff was really helpful and friendly. The closeness to the Prophet's masjid is very convenient. The breakfast is served in a couple of restaurants that have great views of the Haram, and the food is open buffet and very plenty and generous!

Amazing staff and great comfort during this spiritual trip. We were offered to check out later at 2 pm without any extra charges. Breakfast was awesome. So much variety of food that you would not need another meal. The bathrooms needed some attention as the shower was not always warm.
