Every single staff member we encountered was super friendly & helpful! We had drinks & dinner in the bar, it was delightful! We were even granted an early check in. Hotel room itself is SUPER COOL! Great decor. Bathroom rocked too! Love that they had a bathtub.

Really good option for more of a boutique hotel feel but in the downtown core of Madrid. Parking is not easy here - and I think I read that it was an option which is why I booked it…. It is not easy, you can’t even pull in-front of the hotel to drop off your bags. We had to drive around trying to find a lot that had spaces open and it was a Wednesday afternoon (so I would assume the weekends would be insane). In the downtown core this was very stressful. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, and modern. I would say my biggest complaint is the noise. We could hear people above us and the water that ran (not sure from another unit using their facilities or if it was something else) woke us up. It’s also right downtown so, the noise from the street outside was louder than expected. I think if you’re looking for an option in this neighbourhood, it is a great one - especially if you’ll be staying out late or travelling with a partner or friends.

Our room, 205, had a very small window which had no view other than the hotel's walls and windows. No coffee in the room was disappointing and the "bar" wasn't very good at all.

The hotel was very clean and central and staff were great. Hotel was very quiet given how close to Gran Via. The surrounding street can get a bit messy sometimes but I would stay here gain if I come back to Madrid.

However, the bathroom was outdated and a little run down. Shower was over the bath, not ideal for those less mobile. Service was patchy, some staff helpful, but mostly not very helpful with restaurants, taxis etc..

Our room had an amazing walk out balcony (6th Floor) with a large awning so it was useable even in the rain. Convince food store right across the street. Shower was inconvenient and felt somewhat unsafe as it was an elevated tub with no handles to get in and out and only a hand held spray but no hook so you had to hold it in one hand the entire time.

My second time staying at 7Islas - Pros - great location - convenient for shops and metro. Lots of dining options nearby. Onsite bar and room service are well priced. New gym is a bonus. Lobby is very stylish with changing art work. Rooms are good sizes - again stylish. Dressing gowns are a nice touch. Front desk staff friendly and happy to store luggage. Cons - no coffee in the room. Kettle and teabags but no coffee. I enquired at the front desk and was told coffee was an extra. I'd expect even basic hotels to have coffee in the room and for what this room rate was, I'd expect more. Guy in charge of room service was rude -rude when I called up to place my order (my colleagues were actually downstairs and overheard the conversation and commented on it too) and rude when he brought the food to my room. Hopefully a one-off as the other staff were more than pleasant. Overall, would stay again based on location.

Front desk personnel were completely fixated on there computers from the day we checked in to the day we checked out….they were not very welcoming…usually they ask if you need any guidance or suggestions around town but that never happened not even a hello or good morning.

7 Islas hotel is a great place to stay for a visit to Madrid It is close to transportation and in walking distance of many major attractions, yet it is on a quiet street. It has a very cool vibe and an efficient and attentive staff who were always eager to help out. And the breakfast is excellent.

Clean and well-managed hotel in the center of Madrid. Hotel staff are very professional and helpful. Hotel is located at a quiet street just off Gran Via. Metro Station Gran Via is about 3-4 minute walk and Metro Station Sol where El Corte Ingles and many other shops and restaurants are located is about 8-10 minute walk. Also, a small but well-stocked grocery store is located right across the hotel. Location of this hotel is top notch. It is centrally located and Metro Station Gran Via is a superb starting point to go to all the must-see spots in Madrid. Barajas Airport is about 20-25 minute taxi ride from the hotel. I would surely stay again at this hotel if I come back to Madrid !

The location of 7 Islas is great . It is just off the Gran Via which had good shopping . It was also midway between the Royal Palace and the Museum and Botanical Garden. Plaza Mayor and the unique streets surrounding it were also within walking distance. We were within 20 minutes of walking to everything that we wanted to see. A grocery market was right across the street and we were able to stock breakfast items in our mini fridge. Speaking of breakfast , it is delicious! Try it at least once ! The bar / restaurant in the lobby has delicious food . There is a bruschetta with whipped burritos that is amazing! We had it twice . It’s nice to come back to the hotel for a drink and a light meal . The lobby is a cozy spot with a fireplace. The design is a mix of industrial and modern elements and nice . My only complaint was the bed . The mattress was hard, the sheets were cheap and the pillows really bad . We were in the penthouse ; I would have expected better bedding … in any room for that matter .
