very limited street parking. Bathrooms need updating. Shower heads are not ideally placed, last bathtub very old and scratches needing to use tub mat.

Good. It’s hard to find parking.

I did enjoy our stay. Good breakfast and staff and the security gave us assurance for our car park outside that it will be safe.

The City Gardens Suites Manila was ok, it is an older building but looked and felt nice. Had issuses with door alarm going off constantly and had to use the one and only key card, which also was needed for power to room, to reset the door alarm. Parking spaces were very limited (4) and extremely narrow. Other than that it was a comfortable hotel and the resturant was nice, did not get the chance to have the free buffet breakfast because had to get up really early to make it to the airport.

Really all they need is to open up the roof bar! 😆 or maybe find some space for a pool. Overall one of the best quality for the cost that I have found in Manila

The location of the property is very convenient to the places we wanted to visit during our 3 nights stay. We were able to walk around the Rizal Park, the 3 Museums, Intramuros, etc. I asked the front desk staff about local tour recommendations for tourists but they didn’t seem to know anything. They have a concierge desk but unattended. We just relied on Google. The 24hour spa for massage across the street was great! The mall is walking distance too. We felt safe and comfortable. The room was clean with a nice view of the city. There’s water dispenser on every floor. Our family suite amenities met our expectations. The breakfast buffet (included in our reservation) was a hit! The food selections and quality were on point. The restaurant manager and staff were very attentive to guests. The room was clean with comfortable beds. A swimming pool would make this property on top of our places to stay in Manila.

Booked us in a room right next to one that was being remodeled but we did not want to listen to drilling all day. Your limited parking should also let people that they have to park on a busy street.

Room had a bad smell. It wasn't as clean as some other hotels which I have stayed in while traveling in Manila. The water inside the Hotel was completely turned off for a couple of hours on our day of check out, so we weren't able to take a shower when we needed to. We had to argue with management to receive a 1 hour late check out in order to have enough time for the water to be turned back on. Fortunately, we did finally get to shower prior to leaving for the airport. The thing we did like was the close proximity to the U.S. Embassy and St. Luke's Medical center (short 5 minute walk).

Convenient hotel for a couple nights. Close to Robinson mall and walking distance to the US embassy. Rooms are a little dated and no cable TV in the rooms. The TV is connected to hotel wifi. The hotel breakfast is good with a good verity of food. The staff in the restaurant are very good and attentive getting coffee and bringing egg orders to guest. Overall its a good hotel for short stays.

The beds and pilows were good. The walls are paper thing though, and you can hear everything that happens in the hallway. The room was not modern, but was well taken care of and clean. Good towels. Breakfast was horrible, mostly just filipino stuff, so if you like a good western breakfast, forget about it. I left early in the morning around 9 and when I came back around 13:30, my room was still not cleaned (even though I requested cleaning). They came to clean it upon request to reception, which took 30+ minutes, and then they removed one of the towels, which the reception then asked if I had taken with me during check out. The location is walking distance to Intramuros, however the area is horrible (especially for solo women travelers) and I definitely regret not staying in Makati City. Reception said they gave me an unpgrade during check out, but I don’t see how the room was different from what I booked, except that I booked a double bed and got 2 single beds due to the «upgrade».

I'll start by saying the staff was friendly and helpful, when I needed it. We had to change rooms because the TVs in our original room started turning off and on and changing channels by themselves. The staff did not know what was happening so we requested a room change and they complied. The original room was on the 2nd floor by the street. It was dark, dingy, and the street noise was incredibly loud. If you are going to be by the street, get as high up as possible because the windows are not great at keeping the street noise at a minimum.

Traffic noise even on 5th floor is loud. Bathroom is small. The breakfast selection was good, plenty of Asian and western choices. As usual buffet options were not hot. Only a five minute walk to US Embassy which is why we stayed there.

No hot water in shower

The staff is excellent, especially Ruel. Ruel went above and beyond for me. This man deserves a raise. The other staff was really helpful even helping me get a grab taxi at one point. The entire hotel looked very clean and well maintained. The checkout process is a bit chaotic but manageable as long as you are not in a hurry. Just plan on it taking 15 min to check out if they are busy. The room I stayed in was wonderful except for the bathroom and window view. The window looked out at a wall. Why the architect put the window there and not in the dining area of the room is beyond me. If I leaned out and looked to the left I could see a bit of the city. The bathroom has a tub that is small and hard to stand in because it didn't have a flat bottom and was slick. The hotel did provide one of those rubber mats with the suction cups on the bottom though. They really should just rip it out and put in the standard walk in shower area. The shower did have hot water so that was a major plus. The food for room service was a bit pricy and things looked like they where a bit too fancy. The portions for the price were small too. However the food was cook right and tasted wonderful. The included buffet breakfast was nice. I only had one bad day were the eggs were cold like just came out of the refrigerator cold. The coffee was good. Also they had someone making fresh omelets to order. If you are a smoker or vaper just be aware there is no secure smoking area outside.

Hotel was ok, although the room felt quite dated and a bit drab. I was disappointed my room had a tiny tiny window with virtually no natural light. I wouldn’t stay here again

The hotel is generally excellent. The rooms do vary but they are continually refurbishing their older rooms. The noise levels from traffic can sometimes filter into the rooms but the area is always active throughout the night. Th breakfast is good and has a good all round choice of food. The room was very clean. The only mini irritation is the supply of 3 in 1 coffee; if you don’t take sugar there is no alternative offered.

The room was dated, the window in the other room did not lock. The windows are not dual pane so all the street noise can be heard. the food was good from there restaurant. The toilet wouldn't flush because the chain came off the handle. There was no shampoo in shower.

We are placed in a room near the Main Street. The room has no sound proof. It tas so NOISY the whole time specially when Jeepney pass by. Property looks decent.Breakfast was good

I got in late but the front desk (especially Mr Alliard was very assuring and helpful . They provided a complimentary breakfast and a place to store my luggage while I walked around Manila. Felt very much first class. This is where I would stay when again in Manila. I am very thankful to the entire staff for their hospitality.

The staff are all very friendly and nice. Hotel check in took about 25 minutes. Wasn’t just me, seems to be slow for everyone. Never had such a slow check in before. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and they have a nice restaurant with friendly staff. I would also say that the rooms are a bit tired and could be remodeled. Also the room had no windows, didn’t love that, wasn’t very clear in the booking. Overall a nice hotel.

Check-in was 2 pm - I booked 2 rooms - they had ZERO room(s) ready at 2 30 . . . tried to claim all 6 of us would be staying in a single room . . . umm, booked two rooms—confusion from the front desk. Had to show them the reservation, again - see, two rooms. Your FREE upgrade since twin will not work. All total 90 minutes sitting around the lobby area waiting for the two rooms to be ready. Breakfast was meh, IMO better to eat out for the added price, many places nearby to eat. Tried both restaurant and room service ( food and drinks ) . . . Food was good - came HOT. Outside of checking in problem(s) of City Gardens Suites not being prepared by their claimed check in time AND not understanding what 2 rooms means . . . Not a bad stay. Older style rooms - comfortable, more apartment less hotel - small bathroom(s).

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The service representative who assisted me before booking was very responsive and answered all my questions promptly, which gave me confidence even before arriving. Upon check-in, the front desk staff were very accommodating and kindly arranged an early check-in since I was traveling with my elderly mother — something I truly appreciated. The restaurant and buffet team were exceptionally nice and went out of their way to accommodate my requests for my mother’s comfort. Housekeeping was quick to respond to any needs, and my room was spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay. What really impressed me was when I accidentally left an item behind — the staff took the initiative to contact me about it. That thoughtful gesture speaks volumes about their honesty and dedication to guest satisfaction. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable experience, and I deeply appreciate the team’s professionalism, warmth, and care. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff charged for items eaten at the mini bar when the items were not touched at all. After telling them that basically, they didn’t care they still charged.

Good location

The hotel itself is ok. Rooms are small but in decent condition. The facilities including the lobby are dated. We had to wait half an hour in the very noisy lobby (along with 20~30 other guests) before we can get to our room despite our evening arrival. It seems they are short-staffed. The surrounding neighborhood is sketchy and dirty.

Breakfast is good especially if you have an early morning appointment. Convenient area to stay when you go to St. Luke’s Clinic.

Convenient to many locations like SLEC, US Embassy, Robinson's Ermita. Clean and has alot of varieties of food to choose from for breakfast.

Hotel is conveniently located with easy access to almost everything. 1 block from a church, 2 blocks from US embassy, 2 blocks from the mall 2 blocks from the park and surrounded by restaurants, cafe and convenience stores. It’s also easily accessible to transportation. The buffet breakfast had good selection. Had lunch at the cafe twice and food was delicious. Cafe staff and housekeeping/ bell hop were very friendly and accommodating. They need to improve their booking process as the first room given to me was an extension of a family suite which is very small with no window. I have to insist that, that was not the one shown when I booked the room. I ended up in a PWD accessible room. Unfortunately, there’s a water leaking under the sink. Maintenance personnel came but said that none could be done at that time as the water leakage was not coming from the sink. This was also reported to staff at the reception area. Other than the Room accommodation and leaking bathroom , I’m happy with my stay. Will surely book again next time I’m in Manila.

Great location

This was not my first experience at City Garden Suites Manila. An outstanding staff. Clean rooms. GREAT food. I trust them to take good care of my family when we visit Manila and they do! Dependability and trust goes a long way in service. I recommend City Garden Suites to anyone needing to stay near the Embassy, St. Luke's Medical Extension or just wanting to visit the Philippine National Museum.Thank you. We will be back soon.

We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the US Embassy. The location is not good for walking around since there are bums and beggars every 10 feet. The rooms are old and outdated and the wifi barely works. The food was mediocre and expensive. When they brought our first meal we were surprised at how small the portions were. Especially for the price. The shower was nice and the room fairly large (we had the family room). I would not recommend the hotel even though the staff was very nice. Our housekeeper was great.

Breakfast is ALWAY excellent. Kevin, Supervisor in dining room always remembers us by NAME. Our stay at this hotel is always enjoyable!

Really great hotel with a fantastic breakfast Buffett that any American will love. The A/C worked great, the rooms were clean, the building was safe and the staff was very friendly. I recommend this hotel over most others in Manila. And no deposit demands! The hotel Dinner menu was very good and enjoyable. We will be coming back soon!
