Atlantis Hotel Melbourne

Room was dated and furniture fittings etc weren't in great condition. Swimming pool was freezing. Sauna is turned off by default and takes ages to warm up, so is essentially unusable. Felt like a 2.5 or 3 star hotel.

The room was very spacious with excellent amenities. It safe and quiet and close to train station and Coles. Excellent location in city CBD. I loved the heated pool, gym and sauna. This will be my go to hotel whenever I come to Melbourne. Excellent hotel.

Great location, fantastic staff, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Pool useful. Sauna could have been warmer. Didn't use gym. The staff were all great, completely customer focussed and hard working. I'll stay there again.

Car park is small

Very good access to the city centre. Multitudes of eateries very close by. Reception staff very helpful & polite. Both the gym & swimming pool are of good size & quality. During our stay they were also only lightly used meaning we had both to ourselves most of the time

Clean quiet room,fast lifts,great price,great location,good price for breakfast,friendly helpful staff , Netflix did not work very well ,pool had many missing tiles and white blobs of grout on the pool floor.

It’s quiet conveniently located for transportation and a car perk if required a nice gym and pool with a sauna

The desk in the room was absolutely filthy, with old spills and crumbs not cleaned. The breakfast was expensive for such a basic offering

Rooms do not block out noise from adjoining rooms and hallway traffic. Bathroom was in need of repairs and had mold.

Room was ok, beds were comfortable, however the carpet needed cleaning and there were no small wash-cloths. Check-in staff member was friendly but the check-out staff were disinterested until I said something about it to get their attention.

The room had a strong, unpleasant smell as soon as I entered. The blanket was too small for the bed, so I ended up sleeping with part of my legs uncovered. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and not worth it

Room was clean on entry however I stayed there a week and although they changed towels, made the bed and even replaced soap that had been used once they did not clean anything or even replace the cups and glasses (although fresh supply of soap meant you could wash them in sink every day) but no cleaning products for toilet left. Room big and spacious bed comfortable enough the bathroom fan or something made rattling noises throughout the night which was not the best. Great location

Shower pressure could of been stronger. Mattress needs renewal. Toliet seat loose. Apart from this...good value for money. Staff are nice.

There was a noisy hum all night near our room

Clean room; single bed not that comfortable and was not secure.. so was moving all over the place when trying to lie down and get up. Good room size. The air conditioner was noisy, but I eventually fell asleep. Have stayed many times before and is a good option for a night or two.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super direkt neben Melbourne Central und Skybus Station. Auch die Umgebung ist gut. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln leicht erreichbar. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist gut nur haben manche keine Fenster.

Great location, walking distance to SC station, friendly helpful staff, comfortable rooms, only negative is the very poor wifi connection offered

The only reason I am giving this rating is because we were placed into a disabled room. This wasn’t appropriate for us as there was nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom and as it was set up for a disabled person the shower set up was not appropriate . The water from the shower head was hitting our stomach. There also was not a window in the room. Very disappointing.

I stayed at Atlantis Hotel, Melbourne for two nights and while it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, it wasn't as nice as the photos on the site made it look. My room looked tired and could have done with an update. I'd say this was most noticeable with the furniture - the room had a couch which was a nice thought, but there was no way I was going to sit on that thing! I appreciated that the room had an iron / ironing board as that seems to be less common in hotels now. It was very useful to make my clothes look more presentable after a day of travel. The staff at the desk were very nice, and each time I emailed through ahead of my stay, they replied very soon after with a pleasant tone. The location of this hotel was good - if you're heading to Marvel Stadium for a concert, this could be a good choice. But if you're planning on doing a lot of walking and shopping in the main CBD, perhaps look at something closer to that area to save your feet. While the tram lines run down Spencer Street, this is a bit confusing to get your head around as a tourist (what's free and what's not), but if you can figure that out, perhaps this location will work just fine for you. There's some restaurants around the area, and it's nice and close to both the Southern Cross train station, and the Sky Bus station, which can make life a bit easier when you're on and off public transport.

The bed was so nice I had a Aswome sleep the room was real spacest

The location was great, room was clean (very strong smell of bleach) and bed was comfortable. Blind was not block out and the building was quite dated. Basic facilities but it was suitable for what I needed for a short stay with 24/7 check in.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20+ years..... Great location, great service, great room and breakfast with a smile. The staff here are wonderful and accommodating. It's always a pleasure walking into the foyer to check-in. See you soon.... Thank you!

bit naff, the rooms weren't great and the pool room was dark and dingy felt quite creepy when I was down there. someone also let themselves into my room when I was in there so I felt pretty unsafe for the 1 night I was there, glad I didn't have to be there for any longer.

The staff member who checked me in was rude. Despite having purposely booked a room without a view of Spencer Street, I was given one, so there was quite a bit of noise from the street. The room was cold. I tried adjusting temperature without success. I couldn’t get reception to answer my call to them from my room. I ended up actually having to phone their landline number to get someone to answer my call. On a positive note, the staff member who checked me out was friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location. Close to Southern Cross and trams.

Reception staff who did my check-in was rude. Other staff were fine. The room has a broken air conditioning, buttons no response, too cold to fall asleep. This one star is for the staff who brought me a heater in the middle of the night - and that’s the only thing they can do with a broken air conditioner. The room also has at least two tiny golden moths. I killed one and later I can still find another flying. I’m only staying here for one night and it seems these insects are throwing a party. This is my second time staying at the same hotel and I didn’t expect the experience to be this bad.

This is a perfect location close to the train station, shops and city centre. We have stayed many times and will continue to do so. Unfortunately we were given a key card on check in for a room that was already occupied - reception staff then gave us free breakfast to amend for that embarrassment. Bathroom not as clean as usual. But overall it’s a great hotel at a great price.

Have stayed here previously because the hotel is in a convenient location to a lot of things. Staff at reception counter were friendly & helpful. Room was modern, spacious & clean. So convenient to the train station & we were able to store luggage & shopping at the hotel after we checked out which was great. Tram stop out the front of the hotel makes it easy to get into the Bourke Street mall area but there are plenty of places to eat & shop within walking distance of Atlantis.

Great value for money, 3min walk to Southern Cross station and Skybus.

This was a wonderful hotel, which was about a 10 minute walk from the Southern Cross train station. It is a very modern high-rise and Ari and the staff were quite helpful. I had a parcel delivered there by mail to meet me and they had it ready for me upon my arrival. Great location in Melbourne and walkable to most of the areas in town, but there are also many free trams to get you where you need in the city.

Excellent hotel, close to train station, free CBD tram system, large shopping precinct across road, numerous cafes within minutes. Airbus from airport terminates across road within 5 minutes walk to hotel. Morning continental breakfast for $15 was very good value. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends too. My room was on 18th floor and had great city and park views. Only small negative comment... shower pressure was very weak, but i would still stay here again. Very comfortable room.

Close to southern cross station

Convenient location just a short walk from Southern Cross Station to catch Skybus to the airport.

It’s conveniently located near Southern Cross Station, with a supermarket close by. Whenever I stay in Melbourne, I always choose this hotel.

We are pleased we booked Atlantis. It was quiet, clean, comfortable bed and so handy for Spencer Street Station and SkyBus.

Conveniently located to all services that a traveller needed, clean and quiet and with reasonably priced.

We find the Atlantis very convenient for our footy trips. Very close to marvel stadium and only a couple of tram rides to the MCG. Also good eats around the area.

Great breakfast fresh staff great room great

We have stayed at the Atlantis 5 times this year. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful. Regarding breakfast, the hot foods are only Scrambled Eggs & Baked Beans (no Bacon or Tomatoes). However, there are plenty of other options, Cereals, Yoghurt and Toast. The Coffee is great and there are a variety of different Teas. Good value @ $15 per person. I highly recommend this Hotel.

One night stay, close to southern cross station. Tram close by or walkable. Room was lovely, i seemed to have booked a windowless (to the outside world) room but a window to an internal shaft with other room windows opposite provided some light. Lovely pool and dry sauna. Had a $10 dining voucher so chose the $15 x 2 people continental buffet breakfast including scrambled eggs and baked beans, Well worth paying full price if dont have a discount voucher. Staff were lovely in the dining area. They only offer breakfast. A few restaurants around the area but may need to take a tram a couple of stops for more options. Or use the station cafes depending on what meal you are after

Zimmer mit großem Fenster, Hotel gut gelegen, Pool und Sauna. Diese könnte aber heißer sein. Pool und Frühstücksraum leider ohne Fenster. Frühstück überschaubar.

Room was clean but mattress wasn't really good. Need to be replaced. Breakfast was also very limited in Terms of choices.

Breakfast should be improved.

First room I had had noises of pigeons and aircon was difficult to use. Was supposed to get an upgrade with Hotels.com Gold and finally after speaking to Duty Manager got a room that was a lot better. Breakfast is very basic. Recommend people pay a bit more for other options that are more competitive.

We enjoyed our stay and have been staying at this hotel for many, many years…. The staff are great, breakfast was great, as was the service. See you in January! Thank you!
