Hotel staff very friendly, hotel and rooms very clean. Requested a table and chairs for our balcony and was accommodated quickly. I would recommend the hotel put some type of anti slip or change the material around the pool, the decking is extremely slippery when wet and I fell while trying to get out of the pool

The hotel feels quite tired overall. The furniture is old and worn, and the bed was very low and uncomfortable. The shower was frustrating — it’s almost impossible to adjust the hot and cold water properly because the pipes seem outdated. While the pool area is nice, the lifts are old and slow. The breakfast is decent but overpriced at around $30 per person if you decide to have it on the spot and if it is not included in your rate. The location is only average — it’s not far from the beach, but there isn’t much to do nearby and the surrounding area is under construction. On a positive note, the reception staff were friendly and welcoming — especially Sophie and the French trainee, who both provided excellent customer service and made check-in and check-out very pleasant. Overall, it’s an expensive hotel for the level of service and quality offered. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The view from our room on floor 21 was amazing! Highly recommended the salmon from the hotel restaurant and breakfast !! Also if you have an electric car charging was complementary I also include the parking in my package was convenient. Good value for money and all services.

We have stayed at The Crown Plaza Gold Coast many times before and have normally been satisfied with the service, facilities, cleanliness and the amount of choice of food for breakfast. This time however we were extremely disappointed! The property has really aged and in some areas looks very ran down. The rooms smelt musky, the bathroom was dirty with mould all around the wet areas! The toilet seat was way to small for the toilet, so you have to sit on the bowl... Gross!!! The aircon wasn't working properly and the beds need replacing NOW! My husband and I were eating our breakfast in the restaurant, we had food in our mouths, knife and fork in hands and food still on our plates when the waitress came along and took our plates away without even saying a word. We both sat there in shock! It was comical almost. We were waiting for someone to come over to our table and say 'You've been PUNKED!' Sorry Crown Plaza but we won't be back!

The shower smelt like vomit. There was no knife and fork.the ice cream from room service was melted and u needed a straw to eat it. My grand children were upset. And on the Saturday we were given an extra hour than normal, and we went back upstairs to check the room to make sure we didn't leave anything they wouldn't let us back in the room to check. I was very pissed off. Snd front desk wasn't to interested, just saying they will speak to them. Not very happy in the end.

Communal areas were dirty - dropped popcorn and other dirt was not cleaned for the entire 2 night stay on our floor. Room wasn’t cleaned and the excuse was that we apparently left a do not disturb sign out (which clearly wasn’t the case since it was hanging in the inside of the door).

The property was so close to the beautiful beach and tram stop out front. The only problem was staying on the 23rd floor. There is always so much noise throuhout the night coming from above, not sure if there doing renovations at night or moving stuff around. This happened every night of our stay, from midnight to around 3 or 4 in the morning. We stayed 4 nights. So in regards to that probably go for a bottom floor or close to the ground

The hotel is nice and any good location for this time it may have just been the particular room we are in 10.10 but the shower pressure was terrible and getting the right temperature was difficult. Also we only had access to Free to Air TV and the channel reception was average at best.

Very Disappointing stay in the room except for the view that we paid an extra $81 p/p per night for . Our 3 night stay in our room consisted of no tv working ( except SBS only) due to an internet problem that the tv needs to work and couldn’t resolve throughout our entire stay so we ended up using our own data at our cost. The aircon did not work on heating so for 2 nights we turned it off and got an oil heater the last night after having to ask twice for it to be looked at ( on separate nights). The shower was good but a lot of water leaking on the floor . The poor staff at the front desk dealt with so many complaints this weekend from a booked hotel but did not appear to hear or see any managers get involved . On checking out no apologies for the inconvenience of what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away with no kids !! A refund to cover our data costs and lack of heating would have been great !! Given this experience we will not be returning to this hotel

Essentially everything was excellent hence 5 star rating. First stay at this hotel and definitely near top fir Gold Coast Allowing for it being in medium high cost bracket. Staff were excellent and well trained , room on 15 th floor was amazing with both ocean and hinterland views.

Everything was amazing! We had a little issue with the aircon in our room which Scarlet quickly got us a new room and management offered us a free breakfast the next day. The whole team were amazing and made us feel so welcoming, we will be back more often! Thanks again team 😁

Hotel trying to be too smart by half. Lack of check in staff for volumes of people checking in and out. Want you to line up. No concierge so often people trying to get info whilst it is your turn at check in. A hotel of this calibre should have a concierage and staffing to support their guests. Also how long does one have to wait to get the so called $100 ‘security deposit’ back. Would be nice if I had it back over the Easter public holidays. It is my money, not yours and it should be in my account not yours. I guess you will be making money out of it on the short term money market over the next week … Won’t be staying again.

Tried contacting the hotel numerous times the morning of arrival to gather further information without any luck.. Checking in @ 1pm - 2 staff only managing reception. We wanted to park vehicle on site and leave straight away. I advised I had attempted calling numerous times, prior to arriving, was told a busy check-out. Not sure how or what happen at 3pm at check in time.. that evening attempted again to call reception again around 9pm - 3rd time they answered.. the king bed was terrible and left fatigued rather the refreshed.. ask about Breakfast on check in - the place is known for it’s revolving restaurant. I was told to GO UP to the restaurant in the morning provide room number - they don’t do breakfast.. was a horrible experience this time around .. after attending a wedding during the day , a nice comfortable bed wasn’t waiting .. probably won’t return. Service and standard have deteriorated.. stay here many times prior.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. Kunal, the duty manager, stood out with his outstanding customer service skills. He was attentive, approachable, and made sure all our needs were met with a smile.The guy check us in was very nice. The staff at both the restaurant and bar were equally impressive. They were not only friendly but also welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhanced our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning on our next visit. Loved that the hotel was right at a tram stop. Tram stops make it fast to get anywhere you want to go! Didn’t like that there was n not alot of walkable dining..had to jump on the tram.

Rooms are updated but bathrooms are older style but still functioning, we had a room facing north that was protected from the southerly. Dining on the rooftop was mainly closed on the roof opening from Thur-Sat only. The wine bar and other restaurant Sisu were not open at all. Pool is a little chilly at this time if year but there is a small heated outdoor spa. Breakfast buffet was fine. Convenient to tram and a little quieter than near Cavill Ave.

Room was lovely. All staff were very friendly and helpful, smooth check in and check out. It’s a little further away from central Surfers, nearly 2km so bit of a walk, but close to the light rail. Only complaint was the room service food, had both breakfast and dinner. Neither were good. Burger was dry and chewy, a bit meh. Bacon was fatty and undercooked Pancakes for breakfast were ok, again, bacon was pretty sad.

The room was lovely, the breakfasts were wonderful. Very surprised that there was no drinks or snacks to purchase. We ordered room service and that was cold. There was no soap, no shower caps, no sanitary items. Shampoo,and conditioner and body wash were wall mounted in the shower so couldnt use them in the bath. Certainly a little short from the crown experience we were hoping for

I’m giving this hotel 3 stars because the room itself was clean, comfortable, and overall pleasant. However, we did experience a few hiccups that seemed to stem from discrepancies between what was advertised on Wotif and what the hotel had on record. We had prepaid for the room, parking, and breakfast. Each time we exited the carpark, we were prompted to pay $25, though thankfully staff were able to lift the boom gate when we buzzed for assistance. At breakfast, our prepaid booking wasn’t showing in the hotel’s system, and we were initially asked to pay again. After explaining that it was included in our Wotif booking, the issue was eventually sorted out. We also ordered room service, which came with a $5 delivery fee. Unfortunately, the wait time was far too long, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold, making the extra charge feel even more disappointing. Overall, the stay was comfortable, but clearer coordination between the hotel and Wotif would have made the experience much better.

I love staying at the Crowne Plaza, Surfers Paradise. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The bed is comfortable and spacious bathroom. The buffet breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend this property and will be back.
