Most accommodation close to the Mcg is heritage buildings. They dont get renovated, so i wasnt expecting much. Lovely person checked me in and as it was very narrow stars and i have wonky knees, he changed my room to a ground floor. Then walked me out to show me where to park, it is very tight parking but it is free. Sheets were clean, towels were clean. Mattress was 20yrs old and sagged more than i do. Shower over a childs bath, hot water instantly. It is run down but for 1 night and just 1 block from the Mcg, it did the job

The hotel is actually located in a nice location in a quiet side street. The water fluctuates between scolding hot and freezing cold so the only way to shower is to step aside every 40 seconds and wait until the water is bearable until the next change. Beware of the free parking! We were assigned a place that boxed another car in but the owner assured us that those people had been told they could not check out until after 10am, but then gives them our room number the following morning so that they can come and bang on our door first thing, demanding that we move our car- VERY inappropriate. If your budget allows just stay somehere else.

It is a basic property, no lift, dated rooms, but it is in the best location for the MCG, a quiet street, great local cafes and wine shops, and is priced really well. So close to tram and train. We have stayed here twice and will definitely stay again. The owners are lovely.

Very satisfactory. In a quiet and pleasing slocation. Good to have independent kitchenette facilities.

The main room, kitchenette, ensuite were all clean and ready for use. Bed was comfortable. The fridge was a little too noisy whenever it started up and woke this light sleeper a few times. A pleasant stay, and we will return.

Very pleasant at reception. The property was comfortable and in easy access to where we needed to be. Good value, but dated. No lift for upstairs property. Rooms not serviced over the long weekend (Kings Birthday weekend) but reception happy to help with anything we needed.

Knightsbridge Apartments are a great place to stay, 500 metres from MCG, you can walk into the city, very reasonable price, great value, the guys behind the desk are fantastic, there is a few free parking spots, close 2-3 cafes. I will stay here every time I visit melbourne.

Mould all throughout bathroom with no ventilation fan. Mirror was stained and dirty. Chairs had numerous stains. Tv had no signal. Room smelled stuffy and window was hard to open to let air in. Overall, room was so bad we did not stay the night. Contacted owners the following morning who disagreed with my complaint until I said I took photos. Refused refund or compensation.

Excellent location. Friendly owners/staff. Old and shabby but clean and good space!

The display pillows were old and tired and did not match anything in the room, the cushion on the chairs were stained. The carpet in the room was stained. I cupboard door in the bathroom had the out skin falling off. The cutlery was an assortment and not matching. The carpet from the front entrance to the first floor room had holes and mismatched patches.

Great location close to the MCG and Fitzroy Gardens, bed and linen comfortable but it just needs a good clean and a paint inside the room we stayed in.

I booked two rooms 5 and 6 we stayed in room 5 was dirty it had someone else dirty undies and clothes under the bed shower didn’t work properly and no hot water, I would not stay there again nor will I be recommending it to other people.

The place is old with really old windows so in the morning you can hear everything which woke me up every morning. We had high winds that rattled the window. I would love to come back to the place and see it renovated. The people running it was lovely. The location and price was awesome. But would love to see some new carpets and a general re-decoration to bring it up to date because it has a lot of potential in a lovely quiet area near the mcg...

The hosts are lovely, but the property is in dire need of a revamp. The bathroom was so small it is difficult to even get in the shower. The shower height was at my chin and my husband’s chest! The carpets are possibly still there from 1940! Whilst the room was clean and smelled like bleach on arrival the cups and items in the cupboards were so filthy I wasn’t even game to wash and then use! No notification that the only way to the the top floor was stairs! And quite narrow and steep ones at that! The area has no cafes or anywhere reasonable to eat (other than a couple of great evening restaurants - Indian and Italian). We walked for an hour on a Saturday morning and couldn’t find one cafe that was open for breakfast! The one that we eventually found was expensive, the items were all wrapped in bread or pastry and there was limited choice. Will definitely just go back to staying in the city proper next time!

Super close to MCG in nice quiet street. Great communication. Photos on website don’t represent the actual condition of the building. Water damage evident to kitchenette and bathroom. Bed had a frame that was so squeaky every time we rolled over that a proper sleep was impossible. With some renovations and love this could be a grand old building.

Bed hard as a rock. Hotel not suitable for us after a medical procedure, ok for a short stay but city centre quite close and we chose to move and stay there for not much more money.

This room is in a convenient location to the upper end of the City. Nice location. It is no very sound proof, the TV did not work well and if you are going to stay, bring your own towels, these were well below standard.

Dated facilities, minimal cooking utensils and small room size.

Everything was absolutely fine. The staff I dealt with were vert helpful. The room was comfortable, even for four nights and everything worked well. The wifi was especially good. I chose this place for three reasons: close enough to walk into the city (an easy five minutes from Fitzroy Gardens), the free parking on offer, and the price. All exceeded expectations. Yes, the carpet on the stairs is a bit worn, but don’t let that put you off.

This property is within walking distance to all the major attractions and is on the tram and train lines. It is quiet, clean but could do with an upgrade to the rooms.

Great location for Melbourne Park and tennis as well as the CBD- we walked everywhere

Great place to use if going to a game at the MCG

Friendly helpful staff. Great location close to Tennis and several nice restaurants right onon the quiet block.
