Tucked away in the heart of Melbourne at the western end of little Bourke street behind the supreme court building, this little gem is a 10 minute walk to spencer street station and a stones throw from hardware lane and the Bourke street mall shopping precinct. Rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed for two or you can book connecting rooms for a family trip. What it lacks in pools or a gym, this motel makes up for in with its fantastic location. Highly recommended.

Easy access to property, good size room. There was no instruction sheet in room which was frustrating when attempting to adjust temp on a/c. We were disappointed there was only limited meals & no restaurant. Manager of bar & meals was very helpful.

Walking distance to restaurants, shopping etc. Disappointed that there was no housekeeping ( only available on request) we were there for four days and had to ask several times for more coffee, tea, milk and sugar. Also had to request clean towels. Restaurant only open for breakfast, bar opened from 3 pm to 8pm but not on Sundays.

The property was neat and spacious. Not conjusted. What i did not like is the car parking. Tourist hire cars and we had to pay for the overnight charges and the car park was so narrow that parking was a bit challenging

The property itself was lovely however the cleanliness and bathroom facilities were broken. We had to move rooms because the shower head fell off the wall whilst in the shower. Once moved, the room was adequate and the location was great.

Good location near tram stops and Hardware Lane Bathroom could have been much cleaner Drawer broken and light on the exhaust fan above cooktop broken Mattress and pillow too soft. HOWEVER, good location - easy check in and check out, quiet enough, and reasonably priced.

The room was beautiful, spacious, clean, the whole hotel smells wonderful, beds and lounges were comfortable. The breakfast buffet is really great, the food is fresh and replaced often, lots of variety for food and drinks, healthy and indulgent options and great selections for kids also. We loved it here and will be back.

The bed is very dusty. The receptionist during check in is not accomodating. There was a fire alarm evac during our first night of stay, which wakes me up while I’m asleep, unpleasant stay.

Good room service however our room was positioned next to generator that ran loudly for duration of stay and impacted sleep quality. Toilet was not clean and tv did not work. Issues were not addressed when staff on desk were notified. Good location.

A simple affordable property that was quiet and great walking distance. The studio room was huge if you’re looking for a larger space with a kitchenette that’s cheaper than a hotel room. While property was a little tired I think it was representative of the cost you pay. The staff were excellent and attentive and the property was very clean.

Great area ,walkable for dining , trams and shopping . Very spacious apartment but sofa and chair pretty tired and not that comfortable unlike the bed. A small dining table would be a welcome addition. Very pleasant helpful staff . Would definitely stay again and have recommended to friends.

Our room was more spacious than expected. That was probably the best thing about our stay. There were many poor things which impacted us though, these include very noisy, we were on the 2nd floor and there was construction taking place next door, the phone in the room wasnt working, the bed was terrible, it was noisy and you rolled inwards, i had a sore back almost every day. The remote for the tv didnt work and it was generally tired and run down. Im a realist and acknowledge you get what you pay for. It would be nicer if it had a bit of a touch up.

The response of the hotel to the fire alarm that occurred at 2:00am of the 15th was the worst. There was no evacuation guidance, and after a while after the alarm sounded, there was no response from the operator or reception, and it seems that the employees had already evacuated. Leave the guests behind. This hotel is fundamentally wrong.

Not good value for money at all. There was a fire alarm early in the morning. All the guests came rushing down more than 8 flights of stairs but there was no one to tell us anything when we got to the bottom. The staff acted like nothing was happening and we had no idea if it was a false alarm. The air conditioning could not be controlled in my room. There was a Nespresso machine but no coffee pods. Two bottles of shampoo in the shower but no conditioner.

Very convenient location on the periphery and well within walking distance to CBD. Quiet location and easily accessible. One minor inconvenience is that check-in was not possible before 1400 hrs - not clear if have to make arrangements for early arrival. Nonetheless, it provided an opportunity for short distance sight-seeing and lunch before check-in.

We had an amazing stay at the Mantra on Little Bourke. Room was clean and tidy. It's a great location to stay in Melbourne CBD as it is in a quiet street but still within walking distance from Hardware Lane and other cafes/restaurants and public transport. Hotel staff were lovely and the buffet breakfast was nice too. Will definitely be staying there again next time I am in Melbourne. Thank you Mantra on Little Bourke!

A fantastic sized room that included a mini kitchen and separate lounge area. The bed was really comfy. :) The breakfast unfortunately was terrible, I'm not sure how the staff could put out such poor quality food. Stale, cold, dried out...at least the hot water was hot.
