South Yarra Central Apartment Hotel

Unfortunately a lack of consistency for bookings. Was put in a room without a dryer and poor cooking utensils. Seems like a lack of understanding regarding certain clients needs from the business

The AC didn’t work. Nobody told us anything about it, so when we arrived at the room at 10PM, the room was really hot. I tried to turn the AC on, but was impossible. I had to try it in all positions, because the screen of the AC thermostat was broken too. After been for more of 40 minutes trying to make it work, I gave up and opened al the windows. I couldn’t sleep until 3 o’clock that the wind changed. The noise was too high at the street. Plus, the bathroom light was always on. The switch was broken too, and was not possible to turn the light off. The point is that the room was given to me without any previous supervision. If not, it is impossible to understand that a room has so many problems at the same time.

Overall a good stay - room had a scent and the washer did not work

3 day trip catching up with family. Nice area with good shopping and dining options. Close enough to walk into Melbourne along the river or catch a train. Room had good facilities but airconditioning couldn’t be adjusted.

The receptionist who I met upon arrival was very helpful and is an asset to the business. The apartment is in a wonderful location and close to dining, shopping and entertainment. The apartment itself was spacious and very well resourced (oven, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, bath/shower, washing machine and dryer). Comfortable couch and a dining table/chairs to use. Lovely balcony. I advised the property on maintenance and cleaning issues which do need attending to. I would be happy to stay at the property again provided the cleaning and maintenance feedback is actioned. Thank you.

This was the second time I have stayed here as the location and facilities are just what you need for a city break. Its easy access to the train station to get in and out of the city, the apartments are spacious, comfortable and easy access to shops and supermarkets for supplies.

There was an issue with the cistern, but I eventually got it to stop running. There was no light above the vanity in the bathroom, so shaving was done in shadow. Otherwise good.

The property is comfortable, but basic, and a little dusty in higher up areas. The showers are also quite basic and are difficult to get to a comfortable temperature, but this is only a minor inconvenience. Staff are great and helped out with any concerns I had during my stay - but I did struggle getting in touch with the property through the Expedia chat before checkin. I'd recommend giving them a call if you need anything, as they were very happy to help. All told, I'd stay here again in future.

Short and sweet stay. The room was very comfortable and very big! I didn’t expect a second room. Everything was comfortable and clean. The r shower and water pressure was lovely. The tub was a tad slippery to initially get into. Not an issue but good to note. A great “go-to”.

Very friendly & helpful staff members. Amazingly quiet for such a busy road. Comfortable beds - mattress high quality. The bathroom could be made safer by having more of an angle on the tiling to drain the water directly into the drain rather than around the bathroom. Very clean in all areas. Thank you.

Excellent apartment very close to Melbourne CBD. Everything was as described - a lovely spacious apartment withing walking distance to all public transport, and only 2 stops on the train into Flinders St station.Plenty of dining options & bars within 5 minutes of apartment, with a Woolies across the road (50 metres). Would definitely stay here again next time in Melbourne.

Arrived at Melbourne South Yarra Apartments on Thu 21st Nov at 2:00 am. The South Yarra Apartments did not leave information regarding the key for our room. Had to ring after hours for the key info. Once inside our room there was no third bed that we booked, so again we had to ring after hours to get another bed. Then we realised the air conditioning was not working. Reported to the Apartment Manager and was told he will look into it. Follow day still no Airconditioning and the Manager told us the Electrician will look at it today. Still not fixed. The Manager came to our room to check the air-conditioned, controls and vents. But did not tell us it was fixed. Still no Airconditioning. Spend the whole 4 nights with no Air-conditioned and Toilet not flushing. The Melbourne South Yarra Apartments Manager, did not offer us another room or temporary / portable air-conditioner. When we checked out, we asked for compensation because of no air-conditioning for the whole stay. He said he will raise it with Management at Head Office. I have been ringing the manager every day since Sunday with a reply still waiting for Head Office. I rang head office today Thu 28th Nov and they have no report of the issue, and they are very rude and do not want to help their customers. They told me if there is compensation it would be a least 2 weeks for the process. Therefore with my experience with Melbourne South Yarra Apartments they are not honest and fair with there dealings.

A great place to stay and communication was exceptional. We could have saved more if we went direct instead.

Conveniently located budget accommodation with easy access to Chapel Street and Melbourne CBD.

Good location for our visit-close to family. Two bedroom apartment. Great river walk access and transport links.

Close to trains and trams. Walking distance to botanical gardens

The room was clean, the building was well located, and the room was reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again. They were doing work on the roof and ceiling of our floor when we were there, which is my only complaint.
