FUTURE GUESTS BEWARE: 1) Hotel is right next to a large scale construction site which is not mentioned anywhere prior to booking. We booked our room facing the Mediterranean Sea and got assigned a room facing the sea as well as the not so nice construction site. 2) We booked this hotel due to the availability of an outdoor pool. However, the pool area is part of the Nikki Beach concept and hotel guests only have access to a few sunbeds cramped behind the bar. Adding to that, the pool is not cleaned and in the morning we found ourselves swimming with bits of old food from the previous night's party. Staff couldn't care less and excused themselves with "the robot is out of order" and only when speaking to the hotel duty manager, it was possible to clean it.. Too little, too late, and we checked out early. We will find another place to stay next time we're in Monaco.

Our connecting rooms booking was not honored, which was very disappointing. To pay $800 for a special indulgent weekend and have it NOT be as booked is really not ok. On top of that, they were offering an upgrade for just one of the two rooms on the reservation, which made a bad situation even more awkward. The pool area does not have enough loungers…we had to wait…again, it was only 2 days! It’s also very much in the shade in the afternoon, and has no special view. Then”party pool” has the best view and presumably more sun and loungers, which you have to reserve. Apart from that, the hotel is nice, and very well located.

Pros: great location, helpful staff, excellent included breakfast, rooftop pool, nicely renovated room, reasonable cost. Cons: Amu rooftop restaurant needs improvement (woefully understaffed, uneven food quality), ugly exterior of hotel, no turndown service, overpriced drinks (12 euro bottle of Corona, really?) Conclusion: not a 5 star hotel, but recommended as a reasonably priced and clean place to stay in Monte Carlo.

The staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating. The service at breakfast and the restaurants was warm and welcoming, The breakfast room was fully staffed and had a really wide range of items for everyone. We had multiple meals at the restaurants and everything was very good. The valet situation was very hectic in the off season, so I can only imagine how bad it was during the summer. There has to be a better way to make getting your car out for the day in a more organized and efficient manner? The hotel is older, and definitely needs an update and the outside cleaned up or refreshed. The fact that they are busy should not be a reason for having to “pre book” the bell hop. I have never heard of this being an issue in any other hotel, perhaps they need more staff. We did pre book one, and he was prompt and efficient. Overall the location was good and very walkable to the casino, as well as restaurants in the area.

There was a rat on the 7th floor. Running around the hallway. Spoke to the manager and they offered a complimentary bottle of champagne. This bottle did not show up! Went back to the front desk to chase this up. They claimed that we were offered a free meal at the hotel restaurant instead. This was not communicated to us directly so we were unaware and the manager I spoke with on the second occasion was not helpful at all. He was rude and abrupt when I explained the situation. I told him I wasn’t communicated with regarding the meal. We put our trust in to this hotel and the staff but it was a real shame that they acted this way. Will not be returning.

Rummen fina med vacker design. Tyvärr väldigt lyhört! Både lyhört mellan rum och otäta fönster Korridorer bortglömda & smutsiga. Det står disk från room service utanför dörrarna på marken i timmar! Ser tråkigt ut. Hotellet behöver en face lift.

Property was in a great area, however the bar on the top floor was BEYOND loud all day into the evening. Crowds looked into bedrooms and one of the rooms smelled extremely smoky but we made do. Staff was incredible.

Excellent location with great amenities inside and outside the hotel Staff very courteous and helpful. Rooms very clean and efficient, purposeful. However, in my opinion, the rooms could benefit from a slightly more modern style and decor, especially on the balconies. But hey, you can't have it all :)... Otherwise, it was an excellent hotel and stay. Merci.

Room numbers super confusing and hard to find. Nobody offered any direction. The garden view room is really a view of someone else in their room, more like a fishbowl. New remodel was done so bathrooms are step higher than the room, and I would hurt myself on it all the time. No bathtubs and no space for make up. Beds are comfy. This is not luxury hotel when compared with US.

Overall was good although the internet was terrible in the room and it makes is extremely difficult to be able to work and do things efficiently. Is hard to recommend this hotel for anyone whom his work is crucial and needs good internet. Is a shame as overall is good. A/C is weak also unfortunately. Breakfast is great, Nobu is below average and the rooftop restaurant is good (not outstanding). Atmosphere is amazing and views outstanding. Perfectly located, which might be the best part of staying.

Completely overbooked the hotel and gave me a different room than the one I had booked. Check in took 45 minutes due to lines of people complaining about their rooms. No turndown on my second night therefore I had no clean towels and bed not made. Would never stay here again

Stayed very briefly, less than a day. Check in was easy. Concierge was very helpful - they got me an early check-in. Gave me recommendations for the area and helped me contact a local venue about a misplaced gift bag. Great area to stay and the hotel has everything you need. Would return!

A Deeply Disappointing Stay – Far From 5-Star I stayed at Fairmont Monte Carlo for 14 nights, expecting comfort and service. Instead, it was one of my most frustrating hotel stays. At check-in, staff claimed I booked a different room and refused to check my confirmation. Only after repeated pushback did they correct it. The bellboy said breakfast was included for all 14 days. Later, I was told it wasn’t and would cost €70 per person/day. When I raised this, I was met with excuses and even laughed at by front desk staff. No accountability. Service was cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. I never once felt welcomed or respected. I chose not to spend anything at the hotel’s restaurants or bars, including Nobu and Amoo—they didn’t earn my business. Housekeeping was unacceptable. Used shower caps were taken from the trash and placed back in the shower. Essentials like body wash, tissues, and slippers were often missing. What upset me most wasn’t one incident—it was the consistent negligence and lack of care over two weeks. No one ever followed up or took ownership. The “5-star” title may suit the building, but not the experience. Look elsewhere if you expect real hospitality.

I have emailed the hotel months in advance, requesting a particular floor in the hotel, we had stayed there 6 times already and were happiest on floor 4, city view. When we arrived this request had been ignored and we were allocated a floor which we did not want. I am unhappy at having to complain but did so as this hotel is not exactly cheap. We were eventually given the room we preferred, I just did not feel good about having to complain in the first place.

Everything was great at the hotel however the room I’d booked wasn’t available (2 x double beds) - we were advised the king bed would be big enough for 3 .. not true! So we ended up with a temporary bed added to the room which was extremely uncomfortable for my 17 year old. Finally after complaining again we were given the original room with 2 doubles. Not the garden view we were promised but a sea view however I think the room needed a little refreshing. The rest of the hotel was beautiful and staff were excellent, breakfast was amazing with a beautiful view over the med towards the harbour. If it wasn’t for the room debacle / faff it would have been a 5 star stay.

We had a great stay at the hotel, shout out to the fantastic concierge team who helped us many times; specifically with a wonderful recommendation for a day trip to Italy. The only downside right now is all the construction going on outside the hotel. It’s noisy and a bit disruptive, it spoiled the view from the balcony. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Room clean, bright and spacious. Front desk staff were excellent to deal with. Only real complaint was the buffet breakfast. Definitely not worth the price. Ate there for 2 breakfast's thinking maybe it would be better the second time and it was just as disappointing. Would stay at this hotel again and just avoid the breakfast.

An iconic luxury hotel at the famous Fairmont hairpin turn of the Monaco Grand Prix race. You are just steps from the Monte Carlo casino, and excellent dining options around including their very good rooftop restaurant. If you’re a lover of good sushi, Nobu is there as well.
