Wir waren für eine Nacht im Art Hotel München (175 € inkl. Frühstück). Der Empfang ist etwas unglücklich gestaltet – die Mitarbeitenden sitzen so tief hinter dem Tresen, dass man beim Betreten nur Haaransätze sieht. Trotzdem sehr freundlicher Service. Unser Zimmer (Nr. 102) war modernisiert, aber extrem schmal geschnitten, mit wenig Ablage und engem Bad. Sauberkeit grundsätzlich gut, aber an den Wandfliesen fanden sich fremde Haare – unschön. Zur Straße hin sehr laut, bei geschlossenem Fenster nur mittelmäßig ruhig, zudem ist das Hotel hellhörig: Man hört Gäste auf dem Gang sehr deutlich. Das Frühstück war inklusive, der Raum allerdings eng und oft überfüllt. Dafür legte das Personal sehr viel Wert auf Sauberkeit und Nachfüllen, alles war stets gepflegt und ordentlich. Die Bar ist stilvoll gestaltet und beeindruckt mit vielen Kunstwerken, allerdings mit 11 € für Aperol Spritz und 13 € für Cocktails deutlich überteuert. Für eine Nacht okay, aber ich würde nicht noch einmal wiederkommen.

the hotel was nice, clean, and convenient. we stayed in the annex building and at one point remembered reading in the reviews that they did not have elevators. i was worried about that but was pleasantly surprised and relieved that they had working elevators in that building! breakfast was amazing (we ate there every morning of our stay). we were in town for the christmas markets and would walk about 5 minutes to the main train station so the hotel was at a very convenient location. only downside is the outside noise from cars and ambulances and being unable to figure out how to control the heater. it would get very warm in our room so we’d have to open the window which then welcomed in more of the traffic noise. other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would probably book again.

If you don’t want to use the stairs, request the main building - not annex as you have to use narrow stairs to take your luggages up. Otherwise it’s a great location, perfect for a simply stay over in town. If you are looking for a bit more service and a good restaurant, King’s hotel is another great option in the area

A bit annoyed bar only open from 6pm to 11 or so and the restaurant doesn't do evening meals? The entire area surrounding the hotel is a huge building site. Bad points out the way it was a comfortable 3 nights.

Hotellet låg mycket bra vid centralstationen och gångavstånd till Gamla stan. Rummet verkade vid första anblicken rent och fint men både duschcremen och tvålen var slut och det var fullt med damm under sängen som sen kröp fram som dammbollar efter några dagar. Soporna glömdes tömmas då det gjorde dom i efterhand när vi var på rummet. För övrigt så var sängarna sköna, rummet bra storlek . Frukostbuffén var bra och fräsch. Städningen drog ner hotell men kan nog tänka oss att bo där igen.

The hotel was conveniently located close to the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, recommendations etc. The breakfast was plentiful with many different options. Only complaint was the bed was very uncomfortable and only two small pillows for two people didn’t lend for a good night’s rest.

Snyggt och modernt rum, breda och bra sängar. Minus för endast 30 cm mellan fotänden och vägg, vilket gjorde det svårt att passera. Kudden för liten och skulle varit två. Bra frukost. Luftkonditioneringen ur funktion men fönstret gick att öppna.

My room 521 was a good sized single room with an en-suite with a bath. It was very clean, a good temperature and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the hot drinks making facilities and the powerful hairdryer, so much better than the usual weak fixed to the wall hairdryer. The main drawback to my room was that I could hear the lift mechanism and was woken during the night. Once people started going down for breakfast there was no chance of a lie in. There is a nice lounge and bar downstairs which we used in the evening. Staff were helpful and polite.

This hotel is very hot. Rooms are very hot. No AC between Oct to May apparently - but we only found this out after check-in. The rooms are advertised as having AC. No one apologised or offered any compensation for this. They just said it’s the rule and they can’t switch it on. The outside street is so noisy with cars all night that you cannot open the windows to sleep. The beds are comfy but the sofa bed is not. There is so much dust in the room - especially under the beds. The bathroom is small but clean. And the shower is excellent, really powerful. The location is not great - it is 25-30 mins walk to the centre. There are casinos and a very edgy area surrounding the hotel. We did not feel safe walking with kids around the hotel, especially at night.

The bed is very small and only one towel provided in the bathroom. Suggestion - to have still water bottle as complimentary as there charges are very high as compare to similar level of hotels. Also the team is not very accommodating in providing the solution if person want to extend or shorten the booked night despite of tourist time.

Very good welcome. Spotless room and good breakfast. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Area (around station) is not the most salubrious part of Munich, but I had no day or nighttime safety concerns and this is reflected in the v competitive room rates. I would definitely stay again. There are plenty of more luxurious places to stay in Munich, but at a cost. The choice is yours.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Aryan was particularly outstanding. He went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Excellent breakfast. Easy walking distance to all major transportation. Good choice. Very clean room, large bathroom, very modern and comfortable.

First impressions are so important. We had a bad first impression and just walking to our room, we were dreading it. The young man who checked us in talked down to us and was impatient and discourteous. We were both shocked. However our room was actually nice ... very clean, spacious and well thought out. It was a pleasure staying there. The breakfast was great Location was brilliant. We did not ask anyone at the front desk for anything though.

A/C didn't work - we got there late, called down to front desk and she came up to look at it, she said it seems like it should work so if it didn't get cooler let her know in a little bit. Well at this point it was 11pm so we went to sleep. Told them in morning it was not working and they said they'd tell engineer about it (who would be there a little later). We got back from all day tour and found out they never had the engineer look at our room (but he did look at others apparently). No notes left from 1 reception person for the next one on duty. So they brought up 2 fans. Couldn't move us to another room because they were sold out. Reception staff was generally nice (the woman the first night that tried to help w/ a/c and the guy the next night that brought the fans) but a few times when I walked up to the front desk the other staff didn't even acknowledge me. They continued looking at their screens or talking among themselves until I said something Room itself - Plain, boring - the pictures make it look modern with its scarcity of furniture, etc. but it's not. Is not much better than a dorm room. Area around is a little sketchy. Did not feel as safe walking around this area. I know this place isn't very expensive but it wasn't even worth what we paid.

We arrived to a friendly greeting on reception, were able to check in early and informed we had been upgraded to a bigger room! Lovely spacious room- very clean. The bathroom was also spotless with a big walk in shower. Complimentary buffet breakfast was included in our stay and there was a good selection of different things to eat. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was very good value for money, with good facilities and in a decent location.

Had a single room first and then moved to a shared room as part of a group trip. My single room was fine. When i got moved to the shared room, i had to share a bed with someone i just met. Yhey wouldn't let us keep thw room i had as my room previously with beds that separated. I also left an item behind in my original room and advised the front desk immediately. They told me i would have to wait for housekeeping to turn it in that they didn’t have anything. I had to continuously check back, and they gave me attitude every time.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral ca. 20 Minuten Fussweg vom Zentrum entfernt. Das Frühstück im Hotel ist sehr gut und reichhaltig. Rund um das Hotel sind z.Zt. viele Baustellen, die wochentags schon früh mit ihren Arbeiten beginnen.

This hotel is very hot. Rooms are very hot. No AC between Oct to May apparently - but we only found this out after check-in. The rooms are advertised as having AC. No one apologised or offered any compensation for this. They just said it’s the rule and they can’t switch it on. The outside street is so noisy with cars all night that you cannot open the windows to sleep. The beds are comfy but the sofa bed is not. There is so much dust in the room - especially under the beds. The bathroom is small but clean. And the shower is excellent, really powerful. The location is not great - it is 25-30 mins walk to the centre. There are casinos and a very edgy area surrounding the hotel. We did not feel safe walking with kids around the hotel, especially at night.

Really liked this hotel, it’s super clean, nice beds and good location. Breakfast good, staff really professional and sweet. I would stay here again.an Also convenient location next to the hauptbahnhof but not seedy. We easily walked to the center, for dinner.

Großes, gemütliches Zimmer mit Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage. Sehr ruhig. Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Es wurde ständig aufgefüllt und die Tische sofort abgeräumt und abgewischt für die nächsten Gäste. Sehr freundliches Personal.

The noise of the exhaust fan and the lighting in the bathroom was awful… we literally couldn’t stand to take a bath with the noise. It was like a construction site.. as for putting on make up, you must have good eyesight. About the bathroom, what a strange layout to have to squeeze yourself behind the door to use the toilet. We stayed in the annex. I would say the breakfast was basic. The fruit was from a tin and the bread didn’t seem fresh at all.. the bed was comfortable the location was good, the staff were lovely… I’m not one for music in the breakfast room in the morning, who wants to listen to rock that early? But the lady working there, did turn it down.

We stayed at this property twice, once at the beginning of our trip and then we booked a second stay toward the end. Both stays included a room for 4 adults. The first room was great except for the pillows (flat/flimsy). We arrived late in the evening for our second stay and we were upgraded to a deluxe room. Everything about this room was excellent! The pillows were fluffy and the room and restroom were quite spacious for 4 adults. The breakfast and coffee/tea options were excellent! The hotel is easily within walking distance from the train station. The bus station is a bit further but still only a 15 - 20 minute walk (requires a short distance under a well-lit road tunnel). We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel's proximity to the train station worked well for us. On the hotel itself, staff were courteous, helpful and accomodative even when we had to leave the hotel very early in the morning. If there is any small nitpicking, it would be that breakfast in the morning area can get very busy. So require to head there early.

Just a one night stay having arrived early evening from the airport before travelling on by train the next day. Very convenient for Munich main station. Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
