Great location just 5 minutes walk from station and an easy 20 minute walk to the centre of city (Marienplatz). Free coffee/tea and water in lobby. If you opt out of a room clean you get a voucher for 10 € to spend on drinks or snacks at reception. Room very comfortable and clean, small bathroom but clean and functional. Lovely staff. If taking a fairytale castle tour (recommended - Gray Line) or a bike tour (fat tire) then the meeting point for these tours is just 10 minutes walk from hotel at Karlsplatz, so very convenient. If using google maps note there are 2 kings hotels round the corner from each other, this one is CENTER! Would recommend.

No coffee or tea in the room, but free coffee and tea available in the lobby (and apples). There was a desk in the room, but no actual chairs, just a couple of ottomans (footstools) without backs, so it was very difficult to work at the desk for long. For a place to sleep and nothing else, it would have been fine, but if you need to work from the room (like I did) it’s not ideal. Note that this review is for Kings Hotel Central, not Kings Hotel First which is a block away and under the same ownership (very confusing).

The hotel staff was so helpful. The breakfast wasn’t free but was very good. There were free drinks in the evening. 5 minute walk from the main train station. The Lufthansa AirPort Express bus station is also 5 minutes away and is extremely easy to get to and from the Munich airport especially since the train station is under construction when we travelled in November. 15 minutes walk from Marienplatz

I enjoyed that this hotel was a boutique hotel with a smaller number of guests, so it never seemed crowded or over busy. Beautiful room and loved the courtyard. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room was clean, location was perfect, breakfast was really nice and the staff was helpful and accomodating. Parking is super limited on site but there is a garage few meters away. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay closer to old town.

Central location, an easy walk from the railway station, clean and quiet rooms, good service. Great breakfast with good selection of cold cuts, fresh fruit, nuts, eggs and sausages. Little gem of a place, very close to station with a lovely hidden peaceful garden. Very clean and tidy. Staff pleasant and helpful. Only minor unusual point is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. You have to go to little bar behind reception to make a hot drink for yourself but it’s well stocked and free to use.

This was a great hotel. I loved the fact they change the rug every day in front of the elevator to say “Have a Nice Saturday or Sunday” or whatever day. Who does that? The breakfast buffet was delicious and there was free coffee and tea in the lobby area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at The King’s Hotel. It is about 5 blocks from the central train station and easily walkable with luggage. The staff was very friendly and the room was small but very clean.

The hotel was aesthetically pleasing, but checking in took a long time because several people ahead of us seemed to have trouble with the computerized check in system. The bed had plastic or similar under the very thin bed sheets which made for sweaty skin. The bathroom was very small and it had an unpleasant odor off and on - like there was a problem with sewage venting.

The air conditioner was locked on heat mode and couldn’t be taken off. The room would get extremely hot in the middle of the night so we had to sleep with the window open all night. Parking was a nightmare! We had to use the garage next door and the attendant was rarely available so we were forced to pay almost three times the amount we were told.

In general I am happy with the service of this hotel. Anyway, I want to point out that In general the room has been the worst of the hotel: tiny bathroom, the shower's cabin is too small, so a XXL person doesn't fit in it, no chair but an unconfortable round ottoman to seat and a massive piece of wood on the bed supported by two cables that seems it will fall on you.

Everything was great, except the air conditioner kicks on loudy and often which is hard to sleep with. I liked the policy to give vouchers/money back if you didn’t require room service. Staff was nice, place was beautiful and clean. I very much liked this hotel!

I will definately stay here again. Great location for us. It’s walking distance to the train station with the S-Bahn to take you anywhere locally and it really is walkable to Marienplatz (15 mins) The front desk was so helpful and courteous. We especially liked Richard who went way out of his way for us! The drinks are very reasonable or even free.

The hotel is located in a convenient area to getting to attractions. We rented two rooms and and arrived early, so we’re not yet available. However, we appreciated that one room was available after a 20 minute wait. When we returned later in the evening, no one was available to check us so we checked ourselves in since we had undergone the process for the first room. The initial front desk clerk it showed us that process. The next morning we got scolded by a 2nd clerk for not presenting our credit card upon check in, but the first clerk never asked us for our credit card. Second click also denied a complementary drink, indicating that our daughter had already gotten one when she hadn’t so this all was a bit strange….

Very conveniently located near trains station and old town. The self check in process was pointless and took longer than a person checking me in. The rooms were tiny but relatively clean. The air conditioner on the top floor was amazing and I imagine very effective in summer.

Very convenient if you want to stay close to the main train station with trams and subways to everywhere in the city. 5 minute walk at most - but keep in mind train station attracts a lot of unsavoury types so while it’s safe it’s not necessarily peaceful. Rooms are pretty bare bones but breakfast area and courtyard are beautiful. Also they let us check in early and stored our bags for free on check out.

The hotel, staff and location all were very good! The shower area was abit tight but quite functional. The breakfast was very good ! The area around the hotel seemed abit sketchy at times but the staff couldn’t do anything about that !! All in all a very good place to stay and certainly would consider staying here again !

The breakfast buffet was good. My only suggestion would be the hot dishes get changed out. It was scramble eggs & sausage for the 5 mornings we were there. Perhaps eggs Benedict, omelette, Avocado would have been a nice addition Signage could also be in english

Nice hotel, bed had a big dip on one side, and my husband actually fell out once. Breakfast staff member made this hotel get the stars, his service was 5 star. No food apart from breakfast, breakfast was basic. All self check in which we saw people struggle with, 1 staff in the evening to serve drinks, lovely outdoor area and has so much potential to be better than it is! We really appreciated the option to opt out of cleaning and get a thank you voucher.

Very nicely located. You can walk to/from central station in ~5 minutes or be at Marienplatz in ~15 minutes. Hotel was clean and check in was easy. Our room was thankfully very quiet. Breakfast buffet was ~€19 per person but it met all of our needs and we were not disappointed. You can also store your luggage which was super helpful. Would stay here again!!
