I had asked for a quiet room, and they gave me a very quiet room in the back. Mini-fridge in my room. A grocery is about three doors down the street. A great restaurant was across the street. Taxis were ready and waiting across the street. Great location. An easy 10 minute walk from the main train station, and 1 or 2 blocks away there are 10 bus lines and subways with a huge underground shopping center.

Excellent location. Parking can be difficult.

Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs. Unser Komfortzimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon sowie Mini Bar und Kaffeemaschine. Die Frühstücksauswahl war überschaubar, aber alles da, was wir gerne mögen.

Vi havde 3 overnatninger på hotellet. Oplevelsen var lidt blandet. Receptionisterne var meget serviceminded og hjælpsomme, så alt godt her. Værelserne var fine men meget små og meget kolde, trods det vi forsøgte at skrue op for varmen. Trods det at det er et 4 stjernet hotel, så blev der ikke fyldt op med vand, der var heller ikke conditioner og lotion på værelset. Morgenmaden, havde det der skulle til, men på en eller anden måde, så virkede den kedelig. Der var ingen fællesområder og ej heller en bar, hvor man kunne hygge sig om aftenen, inden sengetid. Så alt i alt - fint hotel - god beliggenhed i forhold til Oktoberfesten og centrum, godt personale og rengøring men manglede lidt af det hele.

The area around Maison Schiller might put some people off. There are several strip clubs with videos in front in the immediate neighborhood. In spite of that, when we walked through the area around the hotel, we didn’t feel unsafe. We had one room which was comfortable, although not spacious; when our adult kids saw our room, they commented that it was much larger than theirs. The breakfast was adequate and tasty, but not as varied as other hotel breakfast buffets we have had in Europe. It is within easy walking distance of the main train station and was good value for the cost of the room. For two nights, we had to park a car and were able to find inexpensive metered street parking without any problem within 2 blocks of the hotel, although we had to pay the meter if we didn’t leave the parking spot by 9 a.m.

Friendly staff, easy check in. Clean and well kept room, bathroom too. Had to purchase shampoo and conditioner from a store around the corner. No breakfast included with stay, but available as an add on. Bed was comfortable and clean. In room coffee.

I would highly recommend Maison Schiller! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great and had air conditioning which we later found out wasn’t typical. We received breakfast as part of our stay and it was often the best meal of the day. We would stay here again.

The rooms are modern and comfortable. Elevator requires keycard to go up into the hotel which feels safe and the staff were very friendly and accomodating.

close to train station nice hotel - well maintained. Lobby smells like cigarette smoke which is a turn off. Gritty neighbourhood but no problems encountered

Hotel is a five minute walk from the train station, very convenient if you are planning on traveling on from Munich. Rooms were very clean. The area surrounding the hotel has a few clubs, but that didn’t bother us. Besides the odd footsteps from the room above us, we didn’t hear much from the street but maybe that was because of the time of year. Overall, we would stay here again based on how easy it is to get around the city from its location.

Rooms and reception were quite clean. It was the side breakfast area. Floors were bad. There was chicken or something from the night before on the floor. Obviously had not been swept and mopped.

Laut, da direkt an eine extrem befahrenen Verkehrsstraße (obwohl unser Zimmer zur Seitenstraße war, konnte man den Hauptstraßenlärm gut hören). Unser Bad hat aus dem Dusch-Siphon heraus extrem gestunken, sobald einmal geduscht wurde. Personal extrem freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit. Kleines, aber ausreichendes Zimmer mit großer Dusche.

Clean room and cozy atmosphere all around.

The air conditioning starting dripping profusely in the middle of the night. I went down to reception and they gave me an alternative room. At 3am I moved, however being in an unfamiliar room, alone in the middle of the night was very uncomfortable. The next morning I was informed that the overflow needs emptying every couple of weeks and they went and did this. I do question why if you know this is a maintenance job that needs regularly doing, why it isn’t carried out between guests. That same night it started dripping again at 1am. I was not moving as I had a big meeting the next day and needed to sleep and be prepared. I placed towels and bin underneath and tried to sleep through the drips. The next morning when I went to reception they seemed fairly unbothered that I had two disturbed nights due to the lack of maintenance and care. I did get a refund of 1 night after asking for it and going backwards and forwards, however I would have preferred they had actually fixed the problem. The mattress was heavily soiled with a large blood stain- this should have been replaced and a mattress protector used, that’s bad standards and dirty. The location is excellent for the station, however it is very cosmopolitan with many strip clubs around, so maybe not best for families.

I recently stayed at Maison Schiller after getting stuck in Germany for 3 days after my flight back home was canceled because of a snowstorm. While there are many hotels in the area, this one stood out to me and I booked. Upon arrival, I was met with a lovely staff member who I explained my situation to who was able to help me check in early for a reduced fee. The room was clean with everything in order with daily room service (though I declined it because nothing needed upkeep during my short stay). Every staff member I met during my stay was more than kind, playful and always attentive to my needs. I had never been to Germany before so this definitely helped me feel better about the situation.

Rent rum, bra med städning varje dag. Värt att tillägga är att hotellet är beläget i ett ganska osäkert område. Polisutryckningar under natten va inte ovanligt.

Quarto limpo e confortável, café da manhã bem completo. Recomendo.

The staff was very friendly and the room was tastefully decorated. The beds were not very comfortable. The area around the hotel is full with lustful looking men walking down the street lol there is a strip club right across the street which I knew about, but I didn’t realize the noise coming from the street would literally go on all night long. Overall, it is an OK property to walk to the main attractions around Munich city center but I probably wouldn’t stay here again. Also, the television did not work.

Some eccentricities: the odd lighting set-up in the room made it realy difficult to read in bed. And the location was lively - and horribly noisy the first night we were there, though the following nights were better. The areas around the main station in an city are notoriously not the best, and this is no exception. There was a high level of noise from emergency and delivery vehicles, and we saw at least two altercations in the few days we were there, so if you want a nice quiet hotel this isn't for you. Having said that, we found it perfectly friendly and safe - and with a really great (even if chain) coffee shop (Coffee Fellows) opposite.

Das Hotel war eigentlich ganz okay. Aber wir hatten irgendwie das kleinste Zimmer und das war zu zweit schon eine Herausforderung. Wir reisen oft nach München und fliegen immer mit Handgepäck, aber nicht Mal die kleinen Koffer konnten wir irgendwo hinlegen. Bis jetzt hatten wir noch nie so einen Platzmangel und auch ums Bett laufen war schon sehr schwierig. Als Einzelzimmer wäre es okay gewesen, aber zu zweit war es einfach zu eng. Daher würden wir dort nicht noch einmal unterkommen.

Great location for getting to Oktoberfest, old Munich, shopping and dining. But unfortunate on a very busy and noisey street. Should strongly consider upgrading windows to minimize noise

We were very comfortable in our spacious, warm room with quirky wallpaper and fantastic sound proofing. Having a balcony and staying on the upper floor was an added luxury. The occasional street noise at night didn't bother us. We made good use of the many interesting restaurants in the area, especially Yemeni food.

The air conditioning stopped working in the building. I couldn’t open the windows because fruit flies were coming in from a utility shaft, so my room got unbearably hot. I ended up spending a restless night without sleeping.

Maison Schiller is a lovely hotel, great decor and centrally located. The immediate surrounding streets are not great, quite dirty. Unfortunately I found my room quite noisy, the room directly above me were unbearably so which detracted from my stay but isn’t the hotels fault. All in all a nice place and very well located, 10 min walk to Munich HBF and Karlsplatz (Munich Old Town) and major tram lines.

Front desk was super helpful with all our questions about Munich, transportation etc.

The surrounding area can get a bit noisy as its a 24/7 part of the city, but it's extremely convenient for Oktoberfest. The front desk gentleman was very nice and let me into my room very early.

Very conveniently located, though the area around could be seen as dirtier, I never felt unsafe. Would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast was worth it and well stocked with traditional German, English, and American offerings.

So, 1. This hotel is in front of a bunch of strip clubs. It\'s not a quiet neighborhood, even though the hotel itself was nice enough looking. My problem with this hotel was their dishonestly and unwillingness to reimburse me for allowing their cleaning people into my room and either stealing or throwing away a bag of brand new items. I had bought souvenirs and legos, and had left them in the room (which was very tight), and gone out touring for the day. We left the "Do Not Disturb" sign on (they tried to blame me that I used the wrong side, but having accidentally done that the day before, I double and triple checked that morning). The next day when we checked out, I noticed our missing bag and immediately notified the hotel. We looked, they checked the trash, they called the cleaning service, but in the end, my bag was gone. It was their responsibility, in my opinion, to reimburse me for someone coming into my room without permission, and then for throwing away my property. I have emailed, called, and emailed again. They almost acknowledge wrongdoing, but refuse to make the situation right. Do not stay here, and if you do, make sure to get some kind of insurance - they are not honest brokers.

I put a Do Not Disturb sign and even told the staff, as instructed, the night before that I do not need housekeeping the next day. However, housekeeping still comes the following day and moves things around my room and misplaces some of my items. I’ve NEVER experienced this in any of my other hotel stays. I brought this up to the staff that evening and the person said there’s nothing he can do about it but to have me try to talk to the housekeeping manager the next morning when they arrive. He told me not to mention his name because he didn’t want to be caught in the middle of the struggle between the hotel and housekeeping. The next morning I go to the front desk and a different man and a lady basically just smirk at me and tell me there’s nothing they can do. They reluctantly apologize and don’t even bother to try to reconcile the whole situation. They mention no way to talk to hotel manager, but just to send email to the hotel. I send the email and get a generic apology response. What a joke. What hotel still allows housekeeping to go into the room even with a Do Not Disturb sign and explicit instructions to the front desk the night before?! Every step was followed and yet housekeeping came into my room (without permission) and misplaced items. That’s not even adding that the window in lobby area is somewhat cracked from a bullet. And outside feels super sketch and dirty around hotel. Inside the room, furniture and lights were super dusty. Never coming here again.

Hotel was nice but the surrounding area was awful. Incredibly loud with groups of people out and yelling at eachother overnight.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff are pleasant enough. It’s also near the train station which can be convenient, however the area is not the most pleasant. There are several gambling dens and strip clubs on the neighbouring blocks, and the street corner the hotel is at is surrounded by late night schwarma shops frequented by hungry men.

Great hotel inside. Outside was VERY noisy until 5am on weekends. Several strip clubs within a block seemed to draw a shady crowd although no one bothered us. We hoped for a Germany-type experience but this is a very middle-eastern neighborhood. Skip next time.

Maison Schiller is conveniently located within walking distance of old town and the train station. The rooms and staff were excellent.

This is very walkable as the train station is less than 5 min away. Many resturants around. This hotel is on the opening weekend parade route so if you have a balcony you can watch from hotel. Very convenient.

The hotel was nice breakfast was very poor. Very little choice the lady serving acted like she would have preferred to be anywhere but there. She spent most of her time taking stuff away. We were advised that breakfast at the weekends was until 11.30 arrived at 10.45 and there was nothing other than bread available. There was no offer to assist us or make any breakfast the woman continued to clean up and acted like we were an inconvenience,

Rent og pænt sted. Dejligt tæt på banegården og centralt liggende. Havde et enkelt mands værelse og det var rigtig fint og rent. God morgenmad, desværre var æggene kolde.

It’s a very nice little hotel and the receptionist when I arrived was wonderful kind helpful. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. It was quiet despite being on a busy street and neighborhood. The bed linens and pillows were fine and clean but not high quality so there seemed to be a lot of lint. The breakfast sadly was very poor. Bruised fruit. Cold eggs. Very unfortunate. But all in all I would stay there again.

Lovely property, nice room. However could use with a light in the ceiling as the bedroom was quite dark unless you turned on a the lamps in the room and opened the curtains. Breakfast was okay, cold food was great, what was suppose to be hot food was cold every day.

Charming boutique hotel with excellent service. The breakfast wasn't great but there are plenty of coffee shops nearby.

Everything is perfect! Except we were surprised that the location is surrounded by adult clubs. The staff is nice and accommodating, and they offer many choices of food for breakfast. The chef is friendly and kind.
