Warm greeting and they deliver bags to the room. Easy checkin. Welcome drink of choice delivered to my room. Clean and nice room. A la carte breakfast of high quality. Large outdoor pool with good service, although traffic noise is noticeable. Tried a couple of the restaurants, and very happy with them. Spa service is very good, with great facilities. Highly recommended

its a good hotel in a quiet location with a good pool BUT for a 5 start it really lacks outside areas that guests can enjoy... no terrace for drinks or tea... limited seating if any outside of the restaurants. Varq was a good restaurant the others were no more than average. We have stayed with the Taj group before in mumbai and we were surprised by how disappointing the hotel was. We stayed at the Imperial for 8 days prior to our stay at the taj and unless the Taj improves we will only now ever stay at the Imperial (which is excellent)

Great place. Great location and service and great food options. Rick’s bar cocktails with live piano player was amazing. Breakfast at Machan was really good. Heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi enhanced the experience. Highly recommend.

POSITIVES - friendly and helpful staff (with two exceptions listed below - extremely clean with a morning service and evening service - sauna facilities for guests were lovely and relaxing (steam room/sauna/jacuzzi/outdoor pool) - various options for breakfast CONS - when we checked in, we weren’t informed that we had access to the club room and what it offered. My family were able to access it on the final day (after my husband and I had checked out) and told us of the delicious food and cocktails/drinks available for free. We only became aware after spending a considerable amount at the bar and an employee advised my brother, upon paying the bill, that we could have had drinks in the club room. - we booked a table for 8 people at the Indian restaurant downstairs and upon arriving were told there was no table booked. We were then finally given a table after a 20minute wait and apologies however the food then took over an hour to arrive, and at different times (with naan arriving much earlier than the main and drying out. When we asked for fresh naan with the main, it came out after a long time and the main dish eaten). I ordered the camembert naan and everyone else at the table had eaten, with my main dish pretty cold, by the time it arrived. The manager did not come over to apologise but visited every other table in the restaurant. It seems they were short staffed as another table was about to walk out. However the food was absolutely delicious and well done to the chef!

High overall standard which make the hotel to one of the best in Delhi. Quite similar to Taj Palace though probably a bit more "business soberly". The personnel is, except for a few exceptions, quite neutral and reserved. The hotel is heavily used for wedding celebrations, though this does not bother at all. The restaurants provide fantastic food though on the costlier side. Two different options for breakfast: buffet restaurant and a-la-carte. I would definitely recommend the latter! Though there is no option to eat outside on the terrace (which Taj Palace provides.) Pool and garden area is great and spacious. The only weird feature is that one needs to cross the entire lobby area when coming from the pool.

The service at the Taj in India was top notch. The staff were warm and welcoming, everyone including the cleaning staff. The room was modern and clean. The pool was well kept. A real five star hotel. Food and restaurant staff were great. We really like the individual attention where a hotel staff member actually guided us to the room and introduced himself to us for any further assistance. The hotel looks very clean and even smells fresh and clean. Will definitely stay in the hotel again in the future and tell friends about it as well. Also this hotel was not as crowded and full of buzz as Taj Palace hotel at all. We were happy that we chose this hotel over Taj Palace Hotel. O, We enjoyed the quietness outside the hotel too. And we enjoyed the view with birds flying over the forest too. Anyway, the hotel really provided us with a different and pleasant insight into India at the end of our 15 days trip in India.

This hotel is nicely designed with marble flooring in the lobby and beautiful period patterns on the woodwork and walls, it has a good choice of restaurants, it has friendly and professional staff, it offers many perks e.g. free one way airport pick up/drop off, one free dinner as well as free breakfast. My room was upgraded to a suite which was very luxurious and had a magnificent view of Delhi and the hotel’s swimming pool. The bedding is heavenly with soft goose down filled pillows and duvet and a comfortable mattress aiding good quality sleep. I highly recommend a stay in this hotel.

Taj Mahal, New Delhi, is located in one of the best neighborhoods in the city's center—clean, quiet, and walkable. We stayed on a higher floor, allowing us to enjoy a beautiful city view. Arriving from Varanasi, we spent just one night at the hotel. As we had an early flight to Seattle the next day, we couldn’t experience all its amenities, such as breakfast. However, based on our stay, we believe the hotel deserves a rating beyond five stars.

A terrible room with a motor running by its wall all night which kept me up. The lying and conniving staff that put me there despite asking three times that i needed a quiet room. The lied in the night again for telling me they could not find the source of loud noise, where I could see it myself from my window. The staff lied and deliberately put me there. It's a shame for a VIP access hotel like TAJ . The refund for that night is not a good resolution .. I do not expect a free room but a room I can sleep. I stayed at the Taj Palace two weeks prior - the Taj Palace is much nicer with better restaurant options and a spa. We booked an Taj club room at the Taj Mahal thinking it would be a comparable room to the Palace and it was not - much smaller bathroom with less elegant touches. The restaurant at the hotel was a 4/10 with convenient hours but the food was overpriced for the quality. The overall service is amazing and the location is perfect in New Delhi for touring around.

This property was nice, outside of the property was okay. I mainly used Uber and rickshaw to get around. Delhi has a lot of shopping areas. There were a lot of people begging, I was there for India Independence Day and it was nice. I did not really eat the hotel, and if I did I paid the bill instead of charging it to the room. Upon checking out I was billed for a dinner i did not have and I still had the receipt for the dinner I paid for, the person had terrible hand writing so I needed the manager to rectify the bil

The stay was good but the hotel staff was giving contradictory information - upon my check in, I was told to have access to the lounge, but then the card did not work for the lounge floor. Upon my inquiry at the front desk, one confirmed my access the other one did not. I would expect more professionalism. I use this hotel for years but they will need to better train staff.

It is situated at a very convenient location with short walk or cab ride to popular tourist sights (e.g. India Gate, Humanyun's Tomb) and shopping venues (e.g. Khan Market, CP, South Extension). The breakfast service is not buffet that I was expecting. The hotel arranged a buffet if the hotel has high occupancy of guests , else it’s ala- carte. This should be mentioned on the booking conditions on hotels.com website. It was not mentioned at checkin, nor on day 1 when we had buffet breakfast. The second day there was only on order and as we were in hurry, could not get a quick breakfast which would have been much easier in buffet setting. They however accommodate the breaks fast request for any food that they can make. Quality of food is good.

We don't know what has happened to Food Quality. For Breakfast i took Gluten Free Granola in Glass Jar. First of all it was in Liquid form and then in lid there was small lid attached inside bigger Lid. The Food Quality has gone down. We availed Room Service but quality of food was very poor.
