Good value for money considering the general price point in Patong. The staff were extremely friendly, and both pools were fantastic. Breakfast was fully stocked with a wide selection of options. The resort does lose a star, though - the lobby makes a strong first impression, but the rest of the property feels quite dated (rooms and gym especially). There are also a lot of stairs throughout, although the shuttle service helps. Overall, my wife and I still enjoyed our stay and found it to be a solid option with room for improvement. If you want a more updated experience, I would recommend booking a club room.

Hotel was good but a bit dated. Our room was remodeled. They need better control of breakfast buffet which felt like a cruise ship buffet. Buffet had excellent choices for Asian and non-western foods. We did not eat dinner at restaurants here as friends had booked dinners nearby resorts. Advertisement of free shuttle was mis-labeled as it is only available 3 times daily with reservations. It was really not needed as Patong is quick walk away. Bring next to Patong is both good and bad. It is an over tourist and over developed beach city. Traffic is horrendous.

Great hotel with amazing views. We stayed at the club house two bedroom villa with exceptional views and club house facilities. 4 star as buggy service was always very delayed and could be better with overall service.

Rooms need big upgrade especially bathrooms. Excellent restaurants and good food and cocktail deals. Excellent service. Location is ideal - quiet yet close to Patong. Private beach too small and cannot really use. Pools good.

The property is right on the beach with two pools and a lot of walkable areas. There is about a 15 minute walk all the way to the jetty with a bar. The whole area is beautiful and quiet. It is about a 20 minute walk to the busy Patong Beach Bangla walking street or about $12.00 Grab ride if you don't want to walk. There is an Italian restaurant and a Thai/India restaurant in the hotel, both are excellent restaurants with reasonable price. The hotel price includes the excellent breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel. An additional piece of advice, download the Grab app on your phone before going, Grab is the equivalent of Uber in Thailand and Singapore. Grab is very convenient to order rides in Thailand. Airport to the Amari Hotel is about $32.

The Amari is a first class resort. Beautiful property with private beach. I stayed in a condo at the top of the hill. The only downside is you need a cart lift to get to and from your room. So everything requires a bit more planning and time.

The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The pools are attractive and kid-friendly. An unfortunate feature is that every low tide dramatically reveals an unattractive beach full of ivy and rocks - which is completely covered at high tide. The hotel is very spread out - there’s a lot of walking and steps.

This place is a complete joke. First off, it’s a 3 star hotel unless you pay for the 1/2 bedroom suites which are located in a different exclusive area. The pictures you see of the resort (infinity pool) are for the exclusive area only. About 80% of rooms are not in this exclusive area. I’m all about investing but we didn’t need a 1/2 bedroom suite but thought we were getting something different. They insisted on up charging me just so I could get access to the better pool area. The resort is very dated. Towels were all tattered, public bathrooms were not clean. We stayed in 5 stars throughout Thailand and this was a big disappointment for our last stop. Won’t be booking with Amari ever again.

Breakfast was superb, so much variety and quality of the food was perfect. Location was excellent can walk or taxi it to patong beach and lots of options for food and markets. Sadly the quality and cleanliness of the rooms were poor. Very small rooms and space, photos looks deceiving. I received an incorrect room to what was booked, was given a substandard room. This was later rectified. Mouldy amenities where bottles were not cleaned in some time. Balcony wasnt clean too. Overall not a 5* experience or quality that I had hoped, rooms looked run down. Reality a 3*

Tyvärr så var detta en riktigt dålig hotellupplevelse. Vi hade bokat ett modernt rum i fem dagar men fick ett mycket äldre, slitet och smutsigt rum till att börja med. Det har inte moderniserats på säkert 40 år. Vi pratade med hotellet som gav oss ett nytt rum som va lite mer modernt. På kvällen så möts vi tyvärr av en stor kackerlacka i badrummet. Efter ny diskussion med personalen så gör de en ordentlig rengöring, men redan dagen efter så är det nya kackerlackor på rummet igen. Vi får igen ett nytt rum, men möts även där av kackerlackor. Efter fyra dagar med tre olika rum så väljer vi att checka ut tidigt. Vi hade en natt kvar på hotellet men kunde tyvärr inte stanna en sekund till. Vi fick inte heller någon kompensation eller pengar tillbaka från hotellet. Min starka rekommendation är att inte välja Amari. Rummen är slitna, smutsiga och har kackerlackor.

Excellent rooms and a nestled in a quiet corner of Patong. The resort has nice restaurants. Housekeeping on couple of occasions forgot to clean the rooms even though the ‘make my room’ light was left on

Overall, hotel is very nice with easy commute to Patong city center either by walking or TukTuk. The initial hotel check in was good, room cleanliness could have been improved - there were some dirty areas, most likely because the hotel was at high occupancy and in a rush to get ready for next guest.

We stayed in the deluxe ocean front room in building 7. The room was extremely worn down and outdated. The washroom was the worst part with mold growing in multiple places. The property itself was pretty and the buffet was decent. The views were gorgeous and restaurants were delicious.

The property is nice in the lobby . But the rooms do need some upgrades and they aren’t that spacious. Also the restaurants have the doors open and bugs was flying around the food which isn’t good at all. The service was amazing all workers except one lady at breakfast .. they was all very nice I can’t remember the breakfast lady name . I saw her yell at several customers for asking her questions . . Overall nice hotel decent location not the best but it was in a ok area. They just need some upgrades to the room the bed was very comfortable but there is mold by the refrigerators and showers .. visable mold . I wouldn’t say this hotel is 5 stars more like a 3.. or a 3.5 tops

This hotel is located in an extremely scenic environment. Outside facilities were all very well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. However, the interior of the room was dated and definitely needed upgrading with specific problems related to the bathroom. Overall, this was a satisfactory stay.

This hotel was amazing! Very convenient being in Patong, however away from the hustle and bustle. Stayed with my family( kids 4 &6 years old) and we all loved it. Booked a 2 bedroom suite and the views were spectacular. Very modern and spacious suite, including a kitchen and lounge. Staff are attentive and very helpful.

Very friendly staff and the most amazing view. I love the location. Not too close to downtown Patong and not too far. The hotel property is beautiful. My room has kept very clean and the balcony view is amazing. The only con is that there is not enough outlets for everything I have to charge.

Excellent stay at Amari Phuket. Lobby area, pools, and grounds were very inviting and in immaculate shape. Breakfast spread was simply incredible, so many choices and tremendous quality and taste. Hotel room was a bit underwhelming, nice but not all that spacious or comfortable. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Quite a few of the other guests came across as rude and entitled, made the experience a little off-putting overall.

Hotel room was a bit underwhelming, nice but not all that spacious or comfortable. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Quite a few of the other guests came across as rude and entitled, made the experience a little off-putting overall.

Oh I'm definitely staying here again when I go back to Thailand! I would just make sure you book the club rooms with balconies because they're the most modern and updated. You also get free breakfast at a private clubhouse and so much more. 10/10 would recommend!!

This gem has amazing views from the room. We originally booked and had a last minute issue, and attempted to cancel our booking. They would not work with us or refund so we ended up going anyway. Just know that the hotel has strict policies regardless of your reasons. The check in was a little chaotic. We got in before the 3 pm check in and there were many rude tourists and families waiting for their room. The front desk reception were kind and patient, even when a tourist rudely intruded on my check in to ask questions because they could not wait in line like everyone else. Just understand that if you are familiar with classy, respectful vacation goers, this property didn't seem to cater to those types. The room and property is enormous, well-kept, and dropdead gorgeous. The location is on the south side of Patong Beach, and away from the madness. We probably would have stayed in a less touristy area and not Patong Beach if we knew better. The staff were fast to respond and always very respectful. That really made our stay very nice.

We had to change rooms on arrival due to cleanliness and a faulty bathroom power outlet — yet even in the new room the bathroom outlet still didn’t work. Rooms are run down, cupboard light wouldn’t switch off, lighting was either all on or all off, and barely enough space for one suitcase. The resort layout is impractical with over 100 stairs just to reach reception. For a property of this size, golf carts or guest transport should be provided — many other guests were also frustrated. They said 5 stars Hotel, but Not sure about it. They don't upgrade you even when the room is available. you need transformation from lobby/ restaurant/pool to your room. It will take 6 min ride to come from your room to lobby. Front desk people are not helpful, they just do minimum job. They never trained to handle 5 stars hotel.

I loved this hotel! From start to finish we received excellent service. The moment we checked in they offered us a free upgraded room which was awesome after such a stressful day of traveling. The breakfast was decent with lots of options. The Italian restaurant was good! I wish they would make their drinks a little stronger at the bar. The hotel is super close to Patong beach and they have long tail boats that will take you to Freedom Beach which is considered the one of the nicest beaches in Phuket. It was also convenient to lots of bars and restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!

We are on day 20 of a 30 day Asian vacation and fortunate to have the Amari for 7 of those days. Upgrade to the club level. It’s worth the extra money. The pool that is shown in the marketing is the club pool and only available if you upgrade. There are two other pools but neither of them are as nice as the club level pool. There is a happy hour every day with free food and drinks. In addition, there is a private gym and restaurant, only for club level members. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Don’t worry about the buggies and getting around the property, we never waited more than a few minutes to get up and down the hill. For the money, the Amari is a home run. Luxury at the fraction of the cost in a similar property in the US. It’s a short walk in to town, or take a tuk-tuk for $6. There was always one waiting at the lobby. There are two other pools, an amazing Italian restaurant and room service was great. The people working here bend over backward to make sure everything is just right. Thank you Amari!

The Amari in Phuket is a beautiful resort. Check in was easy, the lobby area and bar that overlooks the Andaman Sea is spectacular, and our oceanfront room with balcony had perfect views of Patong Beach. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star (4.8), is that the rooms could be updated, especially the bathroom. Our room (1104) was near the lobby, steps away from one of the pools, and a very short distance to the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast is must. The Amari is a 5 - 10 drive to Bangla Rd and even shorter to Patong Bch. Tuk Tuk charge was 200 baht. They also had a free shuttle that would take you to Patong bch at certain hours. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

The property is right on the beach with two pools and a lot of walkable areas. There is about a 15 minute walk all the way to the jetty with a bar. The whole area is beautiful and quiet. It is about a 20 minute walk to the busy Patong Beach Bangla walking street or about $12.00 Grab ride if you don't want to walk. There is an Italian restaurant and a Thai/India restaurant in the hotel, both are excellent restaurants with reasonable price. The hotel price includes the excellent breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel. An additional piece of advice, download the Grab app on your phone before going, Grab is the equivalent of Uber in Thailand and Singapore. Grab is very convenient to order rides in Thailand. Airport to the Amari Hotel is about $32.

Amari is conveniently located away from Patong Beach and its nightlife. If you want to enjoy the beach, shopping and nightflife, a tuk tuk will take you there quickly, but it is great to be able to return to the hotel after a busy day or a crazy to unwind. This was not my first stay at this resort and I decided to return because of my positive past experiences.

The location and public areas of the property are great. The lobby is gorgeous and the pool areas are lovely. Breakfast choices were ok but repetitive daily. The rooms themselves do show their age and are nothing special (apart from the view of the ocean we had). Cleaning was great though. We also noted that the poolside service was very slow and at the adult pool, there wasn't anyone to take orders in place of not having the QR code to scan and order. Overall, the hotel is a good base for your stay in Patong if you're out and about most of the time, but probably wouldn't return as nothing memorable or special about the amenities, food or room.

We bought the all-inclusive package, which actually had very little included, at room, one Coca-Cola, one sprite and one beer and don’t replace beer, every day. We don’t found the beach, the supposed beach is full of rocks. 3 bars bars, you could only use two. They gave us some tickets for the meals and you had to given them in before eating, so you couldn't use the two restaurants at the same time if you want; the food was from a different menu than what was served to the others who don’t have all inclusive as the same in the cocktails; poor quality and very little variety, same menu all the times all days, just pizza and spaghetti. The hotel is well maintained and clean and the personal is nice. we complained several times and the manager never showed. Everything continue the same. All inclusive, they are far from all inclusive.

If you want to stay next to the beach and walking distance to Patong Beach downtown market area, stay here. The breakfast buffet was unbelievable. They have several restaurants/bars within the complex and fitness area. You really do not have to leave the complex to enjoy yourself.

The only thing to note is the constant going back and forth on electric rides to lobby, as it’s a big hotel. Once at lobby everything is walkable including to beach.
