Quiet room despite being close to a main road. Short drive to down town. Indoor parking and clean place. Gym wasn't big but had a few machines to get a workout in. Laundry on site too, though we didn't use it.

Fairly disappointed that this is a Copthrone hotel. I booked because the Copthrone chain are normally 4-5 star. This is any but. The place is completely empty and heres why; Firstly I was put in a room on ground level right next to road works. I complained and was told that my almost $200 a night was only for a ground floor room and if i wanted to upgrade it was $40. I agreed hoping my stay would get better, spoiler alert, it didn't! This hotel looks like the set of an 1980s horror film. The decor is stuck in the 70s with horrible patterned carpet and scary florencent lighting everywhere. Absolutely every light socket is florencent. The bathroom had cracks in the wall paper, marks up the wall and dirt in the corners. There were basically no amenities offered other than an abitary shower cap, shampoo and conditioner. No hair dryer, no moisturizer, nothing. The hottub was absolutely disgusting. The water was filthy. Half the jets were broken, head rests broken, floating around in the murky water. Oh and its an indoor spa which you guessed it, had florencent lighting. It gave me the absolute creeps, decided not to use it. They even charged me a security deposit... for what? The place is in desperate need of repair and renovation. I can say hand on heart this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. For an extra $20 I could have stayed at the Hilton. This could be a great hotel with renovations, even just changing the lighting would help significantly. Instead its empty.

Decent hotel. Convenient and walkable to the town center. Excellent staff, polite and helpful. Great rooms , ckean and well appointed. Common areas - rugs a bit worn and stained but vacuumed regularly. Free convenient part - but spaces a bit tight , so be careful backing in and out. Overall a good stay.

The vibes of an old ski lodge. Restaurant was shut after breakfast and the bar shuts around 9 or so. You have to book use of the hot tub but they don’t give you any information about the process, need to pick up a card from reception and drop it off when your are in a towel. Dated decor although the views from the hotel are amazing.

The rooms are generally ok but be aware they are pretty old buliding and the floor cracks whenever you walk !! Also do not risk taking your car as theres no guarantee for available car park and the car park size is terribly small you will have a challenge to fit a mid size car

This is a dated complex which benefits from clever photography. The hot tub is not available so don't book based on using that. While dated, the rooms were clean and comfortable but one of them had no heating capabilities which were needed when we visited. The breakfast was ok.

Comfy beds and very clean but a bit outdated. Views are amazing. I would stay closer to the city next time for more convenience. Beds and pillows are super comfy. A broken leg on an ottoman was fixed promptly when brought to their attention. No issues with staff who were helpful and friendly at all times.

The views of the lake as well as the convenience of being within walking distance (20mins) to the town centre was great. However, the property itself feels very old and the rooms are in need of renovation. Cleanliness was average and visibly no vacuuming had been done. In the weekend parking is first come, first served which is a bit of an inconvenience as this is peak time and always busy so no guarantee you can park on site (limited spaces). Likely not staying here again unless property gets an upgrade but appreciate you get what you pay for, especially being in ZQN and high tourist prices everywhere.

Our room had black mold on the walls close to windows, the bathrooms also had mold that had tried to be re-covered by paint, there was also old hairs that were not ours on the walls. We told the reciption staff about our mold and they replied with “oh okay” no apologies or compensation. Very disappointed will not be back

Room was fantastic and cleanliness inside was great. The cleaners were lovely and the front desk staff were amazing. Outside the building could do with a general clean, the entrance driveway had a huge pothole which I hit a couple times which wasnt great as I have low profile tyres on my car.

Not their fault, but was very hot. Rooms have no air con or fans. Had to leave the doors open , however the traffic noise and streetlights were terrible . Noise from other guests is bad as the veranda of the unit above is directly over the bedroom below.

The rooms are a bit outdated but large enough for two adults and two children. Well located, five minutes walk to Queenstown Garden and city centre. Free parking at a first in first served type of way but they have lots of parking spots available. Staff was very friendly and helpful The only downside was the noise of some very inconsiderate guests (not the hotel’s fault but I’m pointing it out as the walls are thin and if your room is next to some noise guests, expect no sleeping for your entire stay) Other than that, the hotel is quite nice

We had a two-bedroom apartment that wS incredibly spacious, with fabulous views of the lake. Town was without walking distance so the location was also perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially considering ww had an emergency booking due to our flight being cancelled. They helped with an additional bed and arranged a taxi forbus the following morning. Wished we stayed there the entire time we were in Queenstown

Close to downtown Queenstown (short drive, public transport immediately outside hotel) rooms are good size and good facilities provided for coffee/ tea making. Private balconies with great views. Didn’t make use of breakfast restaurant as most recent experience (lukewarm food, poor/limited choices an overpriced) last week meant we didn’t bother going there again.

The hotel is very tired and in need of some renovations. We were by the road in room 106 and it was very loud on the road with two young children throughout the night. The staff were extremely inattentive in all areas, reception, the bar and breakfast. The only saving grace was a great price on the room and the proximity to town.

Our family of four adults stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment for 1 night. What a great stay we had. The young lady that served our drinks and dinner was really friendly and we had breakfast there and who was there was the same young lady what a trooper she is, well done gerl. We will be back. Old hotel, large room, nice bathroom. However, situated right next to the main road so it was quite noisy 24/7 - struggled to sleep the 2nd night. I did ask for another room but was told hotel is full. Worth mentioning that the guys in the reception doing the night shift just didn’t have any customer service skills - we went back to the hotel late at night and me and my partner both said “good evening and hello” but no response at all from them. Appalling service. I wouldn’t recommend, I would avoid if I were you. There any many hotels around the area which is probably at the same price but will have better service.

Dominic on the front desk,was very unwelcoming, unhelpful and made us feel stressed trying to get information. The description was a short stroll to town….true if you were a mountain goat. When we asked him about buses he said they wouldn’t stop and we could get a taxi. Also told about the road works at the front and if the noise gets too bad come and get earplugs! Apart from that…lovely spacious room, comfortable bed and clean

A great hotel for a quick overnight trip to Queenstown. A 15-minute walk into town, so saved on the parking expense as there is onsite parking at the hotel. The room was a good size, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, our room also had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains too. The Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Staff were good, rooms overlooking the lake get a lot of road noise but great view. Maintenance is not high on the priority list, cupboard doors falling apart, window locks hanging by 1 loose screw. On the good side it is just 5 minutes to the centre of town and there is a bus stop out front if you needed it.

Don't do it! I booked this hotel because it was cheap and because we were on a short action packed ski trip, where we would only be in the hotel to sleep. Unfortunately sleep was impossible due to roadworks happening all night long! The heavy machinery made the whole window vibrate and the sound of beeping reversing machinery went on all night, every night. The hotel duty manager was lovely and understanding, possibly the only good part of this stay. Apparently the roadworks have been happening for three years! Unfortunately the hotel has no legal obligation to let patrons know about this until their stay is underway. The hotel itself is dated, in need of maintenance and obviously understaffed as the bar/restaurant was closed on all but one of the days. The spa/hot tub you find in photos is broken and not operational. Air flow and ventilation is so poor that the bottom of the window becomes full of condensation on a daily basis, prompting the cleaners to leave the upper window open. Unfortunately this window is big enough for an adult to climb through, not great when you are leaving expensive electronics in the room. Do yourself a favour and spend a little extra and pick a different hotel on a different road. Such a frustrating experience!

As many reviews say, the property is in a great convenient location. Very friendly team. It suffers from being quite old and in need of a refresh but is kept clean and tidy. Also the bar was only open for three nights a week and offering a very limited menu. We enjoyed our week here.

The breakfast was simply awful and way overpriced. Only had it once and for the rest of the stay we drove into town. The other dining experience comprised pizzas or sandwiches. Really? Was expecting something more imaginative. Nice location and nice room. But the dining was a major let down.

This is not a 4 star hotel, at best I would give it a 2. Why? Room Cleaning: ignored a request (hanging on door) twice. I then had to 'front' to cleaning staff for towels and rubblish removal. I was embarrassed. Twice. Food/Breakfast: Donuts were tough and chewie. Scrambled eggs had dark patches in them. Food/ Dinner: Steak was inedible. I had battered fish and chips. The fish was not battered. It was crumbed and then deep fried. It was terrible, dry and tasted awful. Bathroom: black marks on the floor; poor water pressure . Balcony: peeling paint and black mould in the concrete wall blocks. The balastrades between each room in front of balcony had black moss all along the tops. Room: when we arrived the room smelt damp and mouly. We bought a room freshner to improve being in it. Room kitchen: only instant coffee. No bodum. The hotel was dated and tired. The restaurant was closed apparently due to staff shortages, but according to other reviews, it was also closed at least a month ago. Had to eat in the bar. We stayed 6 days because we were unable to move elsewhere. Add to this we are a couple in our 70s. So everything was that much harder.

Hotel & room pleasant with lovely views. Close to the town centre but uphill walk back. Daily room clean was wonderful to come back to after a busy day. Breakfast was disappointing. Had to ask for things to be topped up even though it was early & it was barely warm. Only ate there once.

Was disappointed that the restaurant was closed for dinner. I was travelling with my 90 year old aunt, so ended up eating in the bar. The buffet breakfast was nothing special, it was a bit on the cool side when we went for breakfast at 9am. I would not recommend this place for food. The staff were lovely and friendly but hospitality was not one of their strengths. We likened it to Fawlty Towers. On the plus side, the room was lovely.
