Gute und saubere Unterkunft. Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage nicht teuer. Leider alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Right across the bridge from city of Regensburg. Close to ships if you are taking a Viking cruise. Arrived at 11am, and front desk associate allowed us to check in early. Great stay, bar in hotel.

Die Lage des Hotels direkt an der legendären Steinernen Brücke mi Blick Dom und Altstadtkulisse: konkurrenzlos. Das Hotel noch immer in einem zeitgemäß sehr guten Zustand. Schönes Ambiente. Altstadt in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Tiefgarage vorhanden. Weniger begeisternd: Unsere Zimmer hatten keine Klimaanlage, als Alternative einen Standlüfter und die Option im Hochsommer nachts die Fenster zu öffnen. Aber was man wissen muss: Die Donauufer beiderseits des Flusses direkt unter dem Hotel sind im Sommer Party-Treffpunkt für oft hunderte Studenten mit entsprechendem Lärmpegel teilweise bis in den frühen Morgen. Das muss man mögen.

Arrived for one night on the tail end of a 2 week Germany trip. Hotel location is great, just outside the old city, on the Danube. Very walkable. Room was just OK. The beds were too hard, you could feel the springs in the mattresses--please replace them--and the old corner tub with a handheld shower was very difficult to use-getting in/getting out was dangerous for my partner. Pillows were very uncomfortable foam pillows. For the price, they should be better. Rooms need to be updated. Breakfast was nice but nothing special. Staff was all very friendly and responsive. Parking at the hotel was convenient yet expensive. Would consider another place for our next visit to Regensburg.

The hotel has an excellent location with secure parking. Although you could park for free on the street if you preferred. We had a nice big room but we could have done with airconditioning and there was no safe. Other than that all good. Staff very helpful and courteous.

Lovely place. Great location, close to Stone Bridge & near to old town. And a sauna.

Very nice waterside room, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, even with the extra charge, free street parking. Super convenient!!

Super Ambiente, absolute Ruhe bei grandioser Lage. Sauna=Sauna (klein und fein) und vor Allem aber auch nicht, wie bei Vielen, als exklusiver Wellness-Bereich beworben. Service war gut und aufmerksam, mussten aber zweimal nachhaken. Resümee insg.: Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Wegen der Umwelt wird das Zimmer bei Buchung von zwei Nächten nicht gereinigt, aber um warmes Wasser zu bekommen, muss man ca 10 Minuten das Wasser laufen lassen….

Wir waren sehr, sehr erstaunt, dass nur alle drei Tage ein Zimmerservice erfolgt!!!!

Wifi doesnt work inside some rooms, very inconvenient and hotel didnt do anything the first day. Only on second day after I complained to Expedia. Room is very hot, slept with window opened but put up with outside noise till midnight, fan provided made loud noise so had to switch it off. Only slept 3 hours first night. Staff at reception rude and defensive, making excuses for the failures. In contrast, the restaurant staff were very helpful and efficient. Carpets and towels provided were threadbare, lucky I had slippers. The Sorat Group should look into the management and issues at this hotel. Its my first stay with this hotel group and likely my last. I worry whether the issues at this hotel are a group wide issue. Not risking a second horrible experience like this! Very odd that I did not see any young kids or babies staying at this hotel during the two nights I was there. Did their parents know something I didnt?!

Die Zimmer zur Donau Seite sind wirklich schön. Bad und Zimmer waren sehr sauber, könnten aber ein upflitng gebrauchen. Sehr Nettes Personal!

I visited Regensburg more than 10 years ago and I had wanted to stay at this hotel for a long time. We booked a room along the canal. However, there was no hot water in the shower. We asked them to change the room, but it was a room with almost no view of the canal, and it was damp because of the proximity of the spa facilities. We were tired from the long drive, but it was so disappointing that we negotiated another change to a room along the canal, but again there was no hot water. Finally, we changed 4 rooms. The staff member who helped us check in apologized and said they suggested us a discount for this trouble. But next morning the manager said no discount because they served two rooms for us. As we had no time to argue because of train time, we were forced to give up the argument. We were looking forward to our stay, but we were disappointed. I enjoyed the city of Regensburg very much.

Meine Frau und ich waren für eine Nacht im Insel Hotel die Damen am Empfang waren sehr freundlich. Als wir den Schlüssel zum Zimmer im 3ten Stock bekamen und die Tür öffnete war ich überrascht das das Zimmer nicht so aussah wie auf den Fotos. Ich bin zu der freundlichen Dame an den Empfang gegangen und habe ihr die Fotos auf Expedia gezeigt worauf ich das Zimmer gebucht habe incl. einem Aufschlag für ein Komfortzimmer. Das Zimmer hatte ein ganz kleines Fenster in Richtung der Donau und des Doms. Auf den Bildern aber war ein großer Erker zu sehen der auf drei Seiten fast Bodentiefe Fenster hat mit einer Mega Aussicht. Die Dame erklärte mir das es dieses Zimmer nur ein Mal gibt und die Fotos von dem Zimmer als Beispiel Bilder für die Komfortzimmer genommen wird. Es war natürlich vergeben. Fazit, ein teurere Zimmer gebucht und bezahlt und ein anderes bekommen. Auch ein ersatzzimmer im 2ten Stock was man mir anbot war nicht besser. Das Mobiliar ist etwas abgenutzt was aber nicht so schlimm ist, die Badewanne, Armaturen und Haltegriffe waren vertröstet und ein Dusch vorhang im 4Sterne Hotel hab ich auch noch nicht gesehen. Die Lage des Hotels ist mega, in 3min in der Stadt oder an der großen Brücke. Wenn ich beim nächsten mal das Zimmer bekomme das ich auf den Bildern sehe, das ist schließlich auch ein Grund warum ich das Hotel buchen, kommen wir gerne wieder. Gruß Oli

We had a room that overlooked the Danube River. We could see the town just across. It was such as easy walk across the bridge to access restaurants, shopping, cafes. Our room was spacious and clean. We would definitely stay again!

Nice convenient location, close to the old town. Hotel was sufficient for our needs but shows signs of age. If the weather was warmer, we would have been challenged since the rooms do not have Air conditioning.

The hotel had no air conditioning. Our room was hot. We would not have stayed here had we’d known. Staff was very friendly.

The so-called "comfort double room" we booked (picture: huge windows overlooking the Danube, big room with bath, bright and nice) turned out to be a dark, tiny loft with a narrow slit of a window where you can only see the sky unless you're standing in the windowsill. Not even the bathtub was real. Took half an hour arguing with an extremely rude receptionist ("We are fully booked! I can't do anything! Tell me, what should I do?" <- not our job to tell you how to fix it, we just wanted you to help us) and retreating dejectedly to our room before we were finally informed that we would get "the correct room" the next day. We did get "the correct room" the next day, and that was very nice, just as advertised - would have been a positive review if we got it right away. Insult to injury: When we asked what to do about the fact that we had to spend one night in the wrong room, we were told we would have to talk to the manager during checkout, because they were currently on Easter holiday, but would be back on Monday. Guess who was, in fact, still on holiday on Monday (hint: the manager). As such, our problem has still not been resolved and is pending a slow email process. Very cool.

Nice hotel. Nice executive level room. But higher floors had weak WiFi. Location was somewhat inconvenient. Also, meals were not available all evenings. And dinner was buffet, and one night fully booked so even room guests were turned away. In retrospect, we should’ve stayed on the other side of the river. It’s a 21 euro cab ride to the train station. You could walk it in 15 min. But dragging our luggage over the cobblestone was a non starter.

Das Personal beim CheckIn war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Der Service beim Frühstück gestern schien etwas "chaotisch", der Tisch wurde nicht sauber gemacht, es dauerte recht lange bis jemand kam, obwohl nicht (mehr) viele Gäste da waren. Mal sehen, ob wir es heute nochmal nutzen oder doch lieber woanders frühstücken gehen. Die Auswahl war sehr gut und vielfältug, was für den Preis auch zu erwarten ist. Die Lage ist top, alles gut fußläufig erreichbar.

River view from an island looking toward the old Medieval part of the city. Easy access to two different bridges. Many restaurants within walking distance.

The location is excellent for walking into old town Regensburg, you could not ask for better. Breakfast is good. Rooms a bit dated , but worth it for the location . I would abs stay there again .

Ottima struttura, personale disponibile vicinanza al centro e colazione ottima.

A great location straddling the river. The view from our room was of the river and old town area. The hotel itself lacks charm but makes up for it with a great breakfast. Our room was ok nothing more.

Sharing an observation and not a negative comment. No A/C. Bar and dining close relatively early. Some people may not have an issue.
