Beautiful hotel and facilities but poor service - long queues, no pool service, room cleaning was late in the day (was often between 4-5pm), the corridors to the rooms were dark and damp smelling - lacked 5 star service imo. Very family friendly which it is advertised as and so many amazing facilities for children but definitely very busy due to the size of the hotel - would’ve preferred adult only in this instance

Great hotel, don’t really need to leave the resort only to see old town Rhodes. 100% recommend a swim up pool at the room, main pool is chaotic people reserving chairs from 8am and not issuing them u til noon or after if even at all. But staff and everything else was brilliant. Thank you!

This our 2nd visit to Helea and it was great, as a family with young kids looking for a one-stop-shop this resort checks all the boxes - full board, beach, pools, water park, kids club, cinema, nightly family activities and shows and more. The resort functioned impeccably (except for some minor hiccups with the the main restaurant during rush hour and with the room cleaners), the kids had tons of fun and their parents too!

The hotel location is beautiful. The beach is very nice but I imagine it gets very crowded in high season as it was relatively crowded on nice days of the low season. However, service was really bad. Rude staff or just careless (perhaps without realizing). No attention to detail that you would expect from a high price tag, 5 star hotel. Food was less than average and limited options of drinks (most wines on the menus were “out of stock”) and even coffee didn’t taste good. Again, ok hotel but def not for the price tag it warranted. We went in off season so it was a bit cold. It would have been nice if at least one pool was a bit heated but the pools were all freezing cold and it was 24/25 degrees outside.

Exceptional 10/10 resort! Great location near old town, beaches, and night life. Amazing amenities on the resort with multiple pools, gym area, spa, shops, areas for children, etc. staff were welcoming and friendly and there were many different food options availble. Had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this resort as it is newly renovated and stunning for Instagram photos

The property itself is lovely, very clean, bright and well maintained. The negatives are the A la carte restaurants and the sunbed shenanigans. The a la cartes are very difficult (if not impossible for some of them) to get into and once you do the food and service was disappointing. The sun beds are ridiculous! Most have towels by 6.30 in the morning and although signs are around saying no holding beds this is in no way inforced.

Das Hotel ist schön leider sieht man in jeder Ecke Schäden und Unsauberkeiten. In Restaurants bekommt man immer das gleiche buffetmenü man vermisst das typisch griechische Spezialitäten. In Italienische Restaurant bekommt man Industrie Pizza vorgebacken. Zum frühstück buffet fehlt einiges. Personal war sehr net und hilfsbereit.

I have to give a mixed review as sone areas were good, others disappointing. The room was not cleaned until late afternoon and the mini bar was not stocked on 4 occasions. There is no iron available which for a 5 star hotel I could not believe. You have to use the ironing service at the hotel. The specialist restaurants you have to book and despite doing this on check in I only had the option to book 2 as the hotel was so full. The corridors to the rooms were not hoovered for days and there was a cigarette butt the cleaners walked past that was there 3 days. Reception staff were mixed with 2 girls lovely but 2 couldn’t crack a smile and were downright rude and unfriendly. My husband even commented on the looks one would give me whenever I was in reception, maybe as I had to complain but I was justified. There was no upgrade available and no late checkout although we did get a room to shower in which was appreciated. Now it wasn’t all bad, if the management could fix the above the place could be great. The restaurant staff work so hard especially at breakfast but three times we had to wait for a table to be laid as you find your own way so a few days we didn’t bother with breakfast. The staff are overworked here. In the Greek restaurant on a lunchtime however the staff and service were fab as they were in the other 2 speciality restaurants. The service in the Italian was outstanding. The drinks are good quality overall and good staff. Hotel is modern and a good design.

Glass shards were on my patio. Asked them to get cleaned and still there after the day I left . Couldn’t use with child . Buffet wait was 30 minutes. Why not staff properly. Need to work on housekeeping and staffing. But a 5 star quality.

Wir hatten einen insgesamt sehr schönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Die Anlage ist groß, gepflegt und sehr sauber. Besonders die Pools waren toll und das Meer direkt am Strand war wunderschön. Auch die Zimmer wurden täglich gründlich gereinigt, sodass man sich wirklich wohlfühlen konnte. Das Personal war überwiegend sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, nur an der Rezeption hatte man manchmal das Gefühl, dass man etwas von oben herab behandelt wird das war etwas schade. Das Essen war grundsätzlich gut, allerdings fehlte uns etwas die Abwechslung. Die Auswahl war fast jeden Tag gleich, da könnte man auf jeden Fall noch etwas variieren. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war außerdem, dass uns am letzten Tag auf dem Balkon eine Kakerlake aus dem Abfluss „besucht“ hat. Zudem hört man in den Zimmern recht deutlich, wenn die Nachbarn ihre Türen schließen das war teilweise sehr laut. Trotz dieser kleinen Mängel können wir das Hotel aber auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Es ist wirklich ein schönes, sauberes und gut gepflegtes Haus, in dem man einen erholsamen Urlaub verbringen kann.

Veldig fin uteplass med tilhørende basseng. Det reddet ferien. Hadde junior suite, som var en del mindre enn forventet. Fryktelig dårlig renhold overalt. Altfor få mennesker på jobb i hovedrestauranten og noen av de andre, slik at det alltid var fullt av rot og matrester når vi fikk tildelt bord. Ikke nok plass ved bassengene. Hyggelig personale. Men syns alt i alt ikke dette er et hotell som fortjener 5 stjerner.

While the property itself was undeniably stunning, there were numerous issues that marred our experience. Perhaps the most frustrating problem was the lack of hot water. Out of our six-day stay, we had hot water for only two days. This made showering, especially for our children, an uncomfortable and challenging task. Despite repeatedly bringing this concern to the attention of the staff, it seemed as though they simply didn't care. Eventually, we had to escalate the issue to Expedia, and I must commend them for their prompt and efficient assistance. Another significant letdown was the cleanliness of the room. It was evident that only surface cleaning had been done, as the room barely met basic hygiene standards. Shockingly, the room wasn't cleaned at all for the first two days of our stay. The baseboards were covered in dirt, and the state of the shower was downright appalling. Considering the resort is relatively new, one would expect a greater emphasis on attention to detail and cleanliness. It was evident that the resort was understaffed. Furthermore, the a la carte booking system proved to be a disappointment. The resort scheduled two dinner for us on the same day, with a mere two-hour gap between them. They couldn't rebook us so we didn't get any value here. Given the aforementioned shortcomings, I would suggest considering an alternative resort until these issues are rectified. With improvements in these areas, Helea could undoubtedly become a truly exceptional

Beautiful resort, spacious rooom - we booked a junior suite with swim up pool and sea view. The pool wasnt actually a swim up pool which was a bit disappointing, but it was nice having a quieter pool - Lots of food and drink options throughout the day, including the pool and beach bars, the crepes were delicious - Beach always had lounges available, sunrise was beautiful, we woke up to see it daily -

Room size was great & balcony was a nice touch. Bathroom was a little on the smaller side. Breakfast and lunch options were good- we mainly ate out in old town in the evening as the buffet wasn't our scene. Buffet & pool did get particularly busy, seemed to be a lot of children.

Our stay was lovely. Our room was very comfortable and big. Staff were courteous although the buffet staff seemed a bit frazzled. Long hours and days I assume. The pools were wonderful and catered for all ages. All in all a wonderful holiday.

Our room was very nice with a wonderful sea view. The resort itself if very nice. The buffet offered a wonderful selection of food and it was delicious. The food at the three specialty restaurants was not great and was disappointing, so we def preferred the buffet. The staff overall were not very friendly and the resort did not do much to organise activities. Not sure I would recommend this resort.

The hotel was very modern, aesthetically pleasing and spacious. Check in was nice and easy and the swim up pool room was great - just note if you don’t plan to go for the sea view option, your pool might be in the shade for most the day! There were a LOT of small children and families, however there was the option to stay in the adult only hotel in the complex (but of course, more expensive!) It’s a shame there wasn’t a section in the main hotel for adults during the day time - the pool nearest to the beach would be perfect for this as there were beds in the pool etc, but instead was full of babies and young children. We chose to sit on the beach throughout our visit as the main pool was VERY crowded. However getting sunbeds was no issue whatsoever. The buffet was brilliant both at morning and dinner and the staff were great, especially Jane! We booked the Italian and Latin America restaurant towards the end of the holiday to leave it on a high - these both were a massive disappointment and I would refuse to pay for the meals if I had been half board! Bed was memory foam which I do not get on with. So uncomfortable sleep. Staff were friendly and amazing. Too many children in the second week of our holiday. But the hotel was lovely just a bit too big for us. Great options of food and the restaurants good and service weee amazing.

The hotel itself was lovely, beautiful room. More family orientated than anticipated and as a couple travelling we would have appreciated an adults only area. There was a smaller pool but we tried to use this twice and both times, before 8am, all beds had been reserved by towels which was really disappointing as the hotel has a no reservation policy but this was obviously not enforced. Air con only went to 22 and would have liked it just slightly cooler bearing in mind the high outside temp. Despite being all inclusive, and having a swim up room, the mini bar only had soft drinks so rather than walking to the bar we would pay at the mini market instead. The al a carte restaurants were fantastic, especially the Sushi one. Breakfast service was sometimes slow so that our coffees didn't arrive until after we'd eaten.

Hatten erst ein Zimmer direkt neben dem Restaurant wo es so gestunken hat, haben nach Beschwerde aber sofort ein neues bekommen. Personal super nett, Zimmer war toll. Alles im allem kann man machen, war ein super schöner Urlaub.

This is our 3rd stay at Helea and it is consistently great. Beautifully designed hotel, at a fantastic location, with a great staff and service. We enjoyed a wonderful welcome and a room upgrade. The hotel was at full capacity, but it was not felt at all (no long lines etc.). The facilities are well maintained and are suitable for all traveler types and the beach is perfect. Highly recommended.

This hotel has to upgrade their systems in so many ways, it's not even close to how they are advertising their hotel. Food was nothing special either, except for the restaurants you have to book and are lucky to get a table.

The hotel location is beautiful. The beach is very nice but I imagine it gets very crowded in high season as it was relatively crowded on nice days of the low season. However, service was really bad. Rude staff or just careless (perhaps without realizing). No attention to detail that you would expect from a high price tag, 5 star hotel. Food was less than average and limited options of drinks (most wines on the menus were “out of stock”) and even coffee didn’t taste good. Again, ok hotel but def not for the price tag it warranted. We went in off season so it was a bit cold. It would have been nice if at least one pool was a bit heated but the pools were all freezing cold and it was 24/25 degrees outside.

Great hotel and facilities. Highly recommend it. We had a great stay. The service at all the bars could be a bit faster. It was lacking manpower during rush hour. People reserving the best transats early before breakfast and not coming before 10-11 is annoying and unrespectful but not specific to this hotel unfortunately.

We enjoyed our stay at Helea, although I would not consider it a 5-star. The rooms and lobby are quite nice (newly renovated), the grounds are well kept, but the food is no where near 5 stars. The main buffet is very average - we preferred breakfast out of all the 3 meals offered there. The dinner buffer was not great at all, in fact we went into town a few nights to eat authentic Greek food (highly recommend). The restaurants on site are also average - we went to 2, and enjoyed 1 of the 2. The grill by the pool is well below average - they don't even make a good quality burger. The only pool food we enjoyed was the gyros. We talked to other couples who had the exact same opinions. The least they should offer is good quality poolside food. T The service is good, but again not 5 star service. You have to wait a while for drinks in the lobby in the evening (only one main bar), no servers coming around offering drinks to you by the pool, limited high end alcohol, no cushioned pool loungers (typical features a 5-star would offer as we have been to an amazing 5 star all inclusive). If you are a family with children, and aren't looking for a very upscale experience, this resort is great. There are kids everywhere, a small waterpark, and the pool is huge. If you looking for a romantic quiet couple getaway, I would try the adults only resort next to Helea instead. Personally, we would not stay here again, although it depends what you're looking for and expectations you have.

Lovely hotel but the reception staff were not friendly AT ALL. It’s the first impression & they were not one bit nice. All the other staff were lovely, which made up for it. Food was ok got repetitive.

Trött personal…dålig service i alla restauranger och barer. Personalen är extremt trötta och slöa, gästerna städar sina egna bord och förser sig själva med drycker då man kan får vänta 20min på att någon hjälper. Vi fick inte vårt rum förrän en dag efter ankomst, fick istället ett helt annat rum för en natt. I kompensation erbjöd hotellet två extra à la carte tillfällen, men vi fick ej prioriterad check in i vårt rätta rum utan fick likt alla andra checka ut 12 och tillgång till det nya strax efter 15…helt oacceptabelt. Känns som om att vi blivit stulna på en dag. Den mer seniora personalen står mitt i restaurangerna och skäller ut den tydligt nyare mindre rutinerade personalen framför alla gäster, man blir chockad av både tonläge och leverans och känner för mottagaren, helt oprofessionellt.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr entspannt. Das Hotel ist frisch renoviert und in einem sehr schönen Zustand. Es gibt einen großen und mehrere kleine Pool, sowie direkten Meerzugang. Liegestühle gibt es sowohl am Pool, als auch am Meer ausreichend inkl. Sonnenschirme. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Es gab ausreichend Tagesprogramm durch die Animateure. Alles in einem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.

Overall The resort was wonderful. Great facilities, nice beach and close to the old and new town. Didn’t realise that our section was full of young kids. In hindsight we should’ve booked the property next door - adults only. The staff were all sensational and extremely accommodating at all times.

Exceptional 10/10 resort! Great location near old town, beaches, and night life. Amazing amenities on the resort with multiple pools, gym area, spa, shops, areas for children, etc. staff were welcoming and friendly and there were many different food options availble. Had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this resort as it is newly renovated and stunning for Instagram photos

We had a lovely holiday the food was excellent and the hotels in a fabulous location only 10 minute taxi ride the old town . However The staff are very slow at servicing drinks and the hotel is really a family hotel and if young couples are considering this i would advise the sister hotel next door. Overall very nice hotel and well decorated and really good facilities.

Wir hatten einen insgesamt sehr schönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Die Anlage ist groß, gepflegt und sehr sauber. Besonders die Pools waren toll und das Meer direkt am Strand war wunderschön. Auch die Zimmer wurden täglich gründlich gereinigt, sodass man sich wirklich wohlfühlen konnte. Das Personal war überwiegend sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, nur an der Rezeption hatte man manchmal das Gefühl, dass man etwas von oben herab behandelt wird das war etwas schade. Das Essen war grundsätzlich gut, allerdings fehlte uns etwas die Abwechslung. Die Auswahl war fast jeden Tag gleich, da könnte man auf jeden Fall noch etwas variieren. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war außerdem, dass uns am letzten Tag auf dem Balkon eine Kakerlake aus dem Abfluss „besucht“ hat. Zudem hört man in den Zimmern recht deutlich, wenn die Nachbarn ihre Türen schließen das war teilweise sehr laut. Trotz dieser kleinen Mängel können wir das Hotel aber auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Es ist wirklich ein schönes, sauberes und gut gepflegtes Haus, in dem man einen erholsamen Urlaub verbringen kann.

Das Essen war grundsätzlich gut, allerdings fehlte uns etwas die Abwechslung. Die Auswahl war fast jeden Tag gleich, da könnte man auf jeden Fall noch etwas variieren. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war außerdem, dass uns am letzten Tag auf dem Balkon eine Kakerlake aus dem Abfluss „besucht“ hat. Zudem hört man in den Zimmern recht deutlich, wenn die Nachbarn ihre Türen schließen das war teilweise sehr laut. Trotz dieser kleinen Mängel können wir das Hotel aber auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Es ist wirklich ein schönes, sauberes und gut gepflegtes Haus, in dem man einen erholsamen Urlaub verbringen kann.

Our room was very nice with a wonderful sea view. The resort itself if very nice. The buffet offered a wonderful selection of food and it was delicious. The food at the three specialty restaurants was not great and was disappointing, so we def preferred the buffet. The staff overall were not very friendly and the resort did not do much to organise activities. Not sure I would recommend this resort.

This is certainly not a 5 star hotel. 2/3 of the lifts were out of order on my last day. The queues for the buffet were horrendous and the food was always cold. Only for the Al la carte restaurants, you would want to leave the hotel.

The hotel location is beautiful. The beach is very nice but I imagine it gets very crowded in high season as it was relatively crowded on nice days of the low season. However, service was really bad. Rude staff or just careless (perhaps without realizing). No attention to detail that you would expect from a high price tag, 5 star hotel. Food was less than average and limited options of drinks (most wines on the menus were “out of stock”) and even coffee didn’t taste good. Again, ok hotel but def not for the price tag it warranted. We went in off season so it was a bit cold. It would have been nice if at least one pool was a bit heated but the pools were all freezing cold and it was 24/25 degrees outside.

The hotel was better 2023. The hotel advertise that they have the a la carte restaurants. We stayed for four days and was allowed to have ONE meal at the a la carte. IF we wanted to make reservations for more, only lunch was available and we had to pay full price for the food. Even though the restaurants were empty at lunch time. We stayed at the hotel last year as well and this was new for us. Last year we had all our lunches at the a la carte, without making any reservations, and we had 3 dinners (stayed for 4 nights) at the a la carte. This was the reason we booked the hotel this year. Also this year, all dishes was not included in the AI even though they had the same price level as other dishes. The breakfast buffe is good, but the dinner buffe is 3*, not 5*. All in all, the service is made to make it easy for the hotel and not with the guest as the number one priority.

We enjoyed our stay at Helea, although I would not consider it a 5-star. The rooms and lobby are quite nice (newly renovated), the grounds are well kept, but the food is no where near 5 stars. The main buffet is very average - we preferred breakfast out of all the 3 meals offered there. The dinner buffer was not great at all, in fact we went into town a few nights to eat authentic Greek food (highly recommend). The restaurants on site are also average - we went to 2, and enjoyed 1 of the 2. The grill by the pool is well below average - they don't even make a good quality burger. The only pool food we enjoyed was the gyros. We talked to other couples who had the exact same opinions. The least they should offer is good quality poolside food. T The service is good, but again not 5 star service. You have to wait a while for drinks in the lobby in the evening (only one main bar), no servers coming around offering drinks to you by the pool, limited high end alcohol, no cushioned pool loungers (typical features a 5-star would offer as we have been to an amazing 5 star all inclusive). If you are a family with children, and aren't looking for a very upscale experience, this resort is great. There are kids everywhere, a small waterpark, and the pool is huge. If you looking for a romantic quiet couple getaway, I would try the adults only resort next to Helea instead. Very unsatisfied with dining options and reservations. I was able to book only 2 dinners out of 8 night stay. All other days was buffet dining and food was blend at best. Cleaning service was awful only did beds and took garbage out. Did not clean floors or anything else. One day they left garbage by coffee station and didn’t clean.

The hotel and hotel grounds are beautiful. Very modern. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, very attentive to our needs. Everyone always had a smile on their face. Had a lovely time here. The rooms and grounds were always very clean. The only negative I would mention would be trying to get a reservation at the a la carte restaurants. I wasn’t able to book a single dinner restaurant during my whole 9 day stay. But the all inclusive buffet was excellent, so didn’t bother me too much. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much. I would definitely consider coming back to Helea, or perhaps even checking out other Ella resorts in other destinations.

Really fantastic hotel complex with everything you’d expect from a 5* resort. Highly recommend the swim-up rooms if you have kids. Alacarte restaurants aren’t worth getting excited about, we preferred the buffet. Private beach was a great addition and has a brilliant beach bar.
