This is a 1 star hotel. The condition of the rooms are very poor. Door in the bathroom rotted from shower water spilling over. Tub had some melted plastic on the edge. Toilet had black specks. Towels are old and thin. Minibar had mould. Bed had a thin sheet and a dirty cover. Handed a key at checkin.

No se como explicarlo… nuestra llave abría: contamos 5 habitaciones… 1 por error y 4 mas para comprobar que realmente era… cuanto menos, extraño a parte de inexplicable… segun el hotel, no era llave maestra y no habia mas copias de nuestra habitacion en fin no sabemos como explicarlo porque nunca nos habíamos encontrado con esta situación… La nevera no estaba limpia, ni la baranda de la escalera ni donde no llega la vista sin esfuerzo… la ubicacion fantastica, el trato bueno pero quizas no muy sincero con la situación de las llaves… raro…

El hotel está magníficamente situado, es lo único bueno que tiene. El desayuno escaso de variedad aunque buena calidad. La camarera muy amable. La habitacion no estaba muy limpia, encontrando bajo la cama pelusas. Las cortinas estaban manchadas de grasa y en el baño la cortinilla de la ventana estaba rota, no bajaba con lo cual estabas visible hacia la calle. Situación 10, calidad precio un 7

Das Hotel liegt gleich an der Stadtmauer und die Altstadt ist in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Der Check In Vorgang scheint kompliziert und dauert recht lange. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sauber. Insgesamt recht klein und man merkt der Einrichtung in Zimmer und Bad die Jahre ohne Renovierung an. Das Zimmer ist sehr hellhörig, so dass man den Lärm sowohl vom Flur (sogar vom unten liegenden Restaurant) als auch durchs geschlossene Fenster vom Hof mitbekommt. Wir hatten zwei Betten, die bequem waren. Die Klimaanlage ist auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht sehr leise im Nachtbetrieb. Frühstück ist Standard. Fazit: grundsätzlich solides Hotel in guter Lage, aber keine besondere Empfehlung. Das historische Gebäude kann man auch ansehen, ohne darin zu übernachten.

L'Hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione, proprio vicino alla Cattedrale. E' rinnovato nelle parti comuni, ma le stanze hanno uno stile molto vecchio e i bagni andrebbero rinnovati. Alle 8.00 del mattino il personale delle pulizie spostava rumorosamente i letti. Durante la colazione a buffet un'addetta alle pulizie stava scopando il pavimento nella saletta proprio sopra al buffet.

L'Hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione, proprio vicino alla Cattedrale. E' rinnovato nelle parti comuni, ma le stanze hanno uno stile molto vecchio e i bagni andrebbero rinnovati. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how good this was! We had gotten this is on a deal, and I expected it to be a bare-bones hotel. Instead it was quite an aesthetically pleasing place with moderately sized rooms, a full bath, a nice breakfast room, and a comfortable bed. The location is awesome - right near the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. We are glad we went to the San Polo.

This is a stunning hotel with amazing views of Salamanca! We had a family suite with a large private terrace overlooking the ancient Cathedral! Stunning views and very beautful location. Great breakfast as well!

Great location. Very good rate. Had to return to reception to ask for the safe key (since I couldn't work out how to use it) and get a map of the city. Would have been nice to have been given both at check in. Room extremely hot, and air con wasn't available, and again I was not told at check in. To cool the room, had to leave a window open. Frig not working. It was probably operator trouble, but they knew it was coming so why wasn't it checked and running on my arrival. These are all minor complaints, but they prevent me from giving the hotel a higher rating and made my stay less enjoyable. It would have cost them nothing to provide a better service.

El hotel por fuera es muy bonito, por dentro deja más que desear. Pero sin duda lo que más me decepcionó fue el desayuno (escaso y de poca calidad) y sobre todo los ruidos. Cada mañana nos despertaban los ruidos de las camas moviéndose en las habitaciones de al lado o de arriba cuando las estaban limpiando. También se oía todo lo del pasillo. Está demasiado mal insonorizado...las paredes parecen de papel...no puedes descansar si hay el mínimo ruido de fuera o si están haciendo las habitaciones cercanas. Por otro lado, el personal podría ser más amable o, al menos, no tan seco.

Situación ideal al lado del convento de San Esteban. Es una zona muy tranquila y con unas muy buenas vistas. Es muy buena opción, aunque hay que decir que las habitaciones están un poco anticuadas y por el precio esperaba más utensilios en el baño. Sin embargo, repetiría sin duda.

Otima instalaçoes! Quarto espaçoso, banheiro tambem! Colchao bom, wi fi funcionando, cafe da manha com algumas variedades, porem nao tinha ovos mecidos, somente cozidos e o secador do banheiro muito fraco…localizaçao perfeita e hotel bem conservado!

Das Hotel liegt gleich an der Stadtmauer und die Altstadt ist in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Der Check In Vorgang scheint kompliziert und dauert recht lange. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sauber. Insgesamt recht klein und man merkt der Einrichtung in Zimmer und Bad die Jahre ohne Renovierung an. Das Zimmer ist sehr hellhörig, so dass man den Lärm sowohl vom Flur (sogar vom unten liegenden Restaurant) als auch durchs geschlossene Fenster vom Hof mitbekommt. Wir hatten zwei Betten, die bequem waren. Die Klimaanlage ist auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht sehr leise im Nachtbetrieb. Frühstück ist Standard. Fazit: grundsätzlich solides Hotel in guter Lage, aber keine besondere Empfehlung. Das historische Gebäude kann man auch ansehen, ohne darin zu übernachten.

Unique location as built over ancient ruins which are now part of the hotel. Rooms spacious with slightly dated bathroom. Breakfast was below average. Cooked items not particularly tasty. Scrambled eggs to salty & only warm. Only fresh fruit were melons. No cold milk for cereals.

The hotel is cozy because of its size and furnishings. Unfortunately the cleaning staff moves the beds just by pushing them without lifting up while cleaning, which is very loud. Besides the breakfast doesn’t offer much but one sort of cheese and ham and a few other things.

This is a stunning hotel with amazing views of Salamanca! We had a family suite with a large private terrace overlooking the ancient Cathedral! Stunning views and very beautful location. Great breakfast as well!

El hotel por fuera es muy bonito, por dentro deja más que desear. Pero sin duda lo que más me decepcionó fue el desayuno (escaso y de poca calidad) y sobre todo los ruidos. Cada mañana nos despertaban los ruidos de las camas moviéndose en las habitaciones de al lado o de arriba cuando las estaban limpiando. También se oía todo lo del pasillo. Está demasiado mal insonorizado...las paredes parecen de papel...no puedes descansar si hay el mínimo ruido de fuera o si están haciendo las habitaciones cercanas. Por otro lado, el personal podría ser más amable o, al menos, no tan seco.

Very bad experience. We stayed in the city for only 24 hours, and the hotel room had a strong fried food smell coming through the ventilation system. When we asked for help, the hotel did not solve the problem and did not offer a room change. We had to sleep with the window open in the cold, and there was even a fly inside the room (we have a photo). Later, they informed Expedia that they had offered a room change, which is not true. The staff showed little willingness to help and communication was difficult. They only approved a refund after the complaint, but the discomfort had already happened. Do not recommend.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by how good this was! We had gotten this is on a deal, and I expected it to be a bare-bones hotel. Instead it was quite an aesthetically pleasing place with moderately sized rooms, a full bath, a nice breakfast room, and a comfortable bed. The location is awesome - right near the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. We are glad we went to the San Polo.
