I had the most amazing two night stay here. The staff are all absolutely incredible and very welcoming; smiles everywhere you go! I stayed in an ocean front pool room and it was absolutely stunning. This is a stunning property! Garden Pool Villas are bright, clean, private and vastly spacious. You could easily spend your whole vacation time in this space. Staff are exceptional in every way. Two fabulous restaurants, daily breakfast, free parking, two pools and beach frontage of course. Centrally located (but not right in the middle of it). DO NOT hesitate or think twice. We will definately be returning.

Main pool needs to be cleaned, very dirty, hair, things floating in it and the sides of it very dirty. The beach front is not for swimming. It is rocky, shallow, dead coral, and lots of garbage floating in it. It is about a 45 min walk or 20 min grab to get to a nice beach. Garden pool is great. The entire garden area is much nicer.

Resort is amazing! Would recommend anyone to come and would definitely come back! There’s so many activities to do if wanting, or just sit back and relax. We did the cooking class, spa and floating breakfast and all were amazing experiences! Staff were always so friendly and helpful. There’s a resort app that is super helpful. Lots of space to relax on beaches and the food was amazing!

Fabulous breakfast, walking distance to central Sumui, but far enough away to be peaceful and a whole beach to yourself without the crowds. Safe swimming, kayak or stand up paddle board. Staff, as with most Thai people were so friendly and helpful. khàawp khun khâ!

The architecture of SALA Chaweng Beach is stunning. The rooms are gorgeous and the circular pool on the beach side is situated as a perfect compliment to the beach. There is a second pool on the garden side that was great for afternoon sun or for a more mellow layout. The nightly tea with the turndown service was also such a lovely touch.

Beautiful property that would've gotten my 5 if it were only for the luxuries and beauty! Private plunge pool water was cold to not be able to step in, pretty much wasted money there! Wall lizards in the rooms, on the cabinets, amidst my suitcase and in and around the coffee machine trays. The restaurant is ill equipped with knowledgeable or live counter staff. Gotta order and keep waiting endlessly until a wrong item is brought to the table followed by 3-4 different staff showing up to ask what was ordered. The egg counter person was clueless on a sunny side vs over easy! The simplest of them all, the ‘forever’ English tea - watered down to a light pale color which too shows up only after finishing off everything else and a determination to keep waiting. We had veg special breakfast ordered upon checkin for every morning but they dropped the ball on that too on the last day. Never mind that as we managed with other vegetarian stuff around. Overall, a confusion and messy restaurant ‘The Tent’ by the beach with flies, ants and mosquitoes! Room service staff was great though and they took care of out needs. Will explore other places next time as lizards is the last thing I want in my suitcase heading back home!

I stayed at another 5 star rated resort on the island before coming to here. The other one outshines this one in multiple ways. This one was a bit run down (wear and tear everywhere on the public grounds). For example one beach towel had gross blood stains on it. However the staff is very friendly and nice as all Thai people are on the island. The only great thing about the resort is the spa. Everything else was meh. Beach had seaweed. Pool area constantly had leaves in the pool and floor. Basically didn’t feel comfortable or as clean as the last place I did which had excellence in all categories.

Fantastisk sted, god strand (ift resten af Chaweng Beach), god service og lækkert værelse. Vi var glade for at bo væk fra strandsiden. Super roligt og tilbagetrukket. Eneste minus var at man skulle passe på hvor man gik (omkring begge pools) da brædderne var slidte, nogle steder møre og skrue hoveder stak op. Personalet var igang med at udbedre dette. Man kunne høre flyene lette fra lufthavnen indover hotellet i løbet af dagen, lagde ikke mærke til dette når man var indenfor. Super morgenmad, de tilbød også at lave havregrød til vores dreng på 1,5.

Beautiful rooms with spectacular bathroom. Balcony looked over a courtyard and faced a wall which was disappointing. Had hoped for sea or pool view. Staff really lovely. Service a tad slow but think that’s just the way of life here. Lovely beach and pool area, if only we hadn’t had so much rain! I would definitely recommend and come back as overall it was lovely.

Das Hotel ist einzigartig. Alles sehr stylisch, sauber und unglaublich freundliches Personal. Man hat direkten Zugang zum Beach. We had the most wonderful stay. The rooms were beautifully appointed and maintained. The food was fantastic and the kitchen was very accommodating of my dietary needs. What really made our stay though was the staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. They were so patient and kind with our son. I took off one star for location as the beach at this end isn’t quite as lovely as down the other end. It can be a little weedy and muddy at low tide as it’s in an inlet. We didn’t really swim at it. That said, I would happily stay at the Sala again. The pools, staff and food more than make up for it. It’s lovely and quiet compared to the other end of Chaweng Beach while still being walking distance to Central Samui.

The hotel is lovely. The service was appalling and it’s a shame that for the money you pay you don’t get the service. felt that every stage they want to make money off you. The airport is 10 mins away and I don’t understand why they can’t offer a free shuttle service. They use their own cars but still want to charge you THB1000 for a round trip or THB 600 per way. That’s beyond my understanding. For a 10 mins trip in Bangkok it averages about thb250 max ( at peak times ) . I don’t understand the charges. I also didn’t like the snails and slugs at the hotel. There were far too many to enjoy the hotel.

Thank you for your fantastic service 😊 The only thing we would like to point out is the slippery floor all over the place when it has rained, and your two ladies in the supermarket who stand out and not in a good way compared to everyone else in the hotel. If you’re looking for the perfect escape getaway, this hotel was perfect! We stayed for our honeymoon and booked a villa - the service, the room, the dining options & facilities were top notch. It has everything you need there or close by. When we felt like we needed a break from the hotel life, we easily walked into town (5 minutes) and tried local food & markets. Super convenient! The hotel also ran so many activities, themed nights to get guests involved which was fun and the staff were super attentive & so friendly. Side note, breakfast is the best! A must stay and we can’t wait to visit again.

This property is incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice. It is huge and the rooms are decorated beautifully. The pool attached to your room is unreal, the local beach is beautiful and there’s multiple big pools to choose from too. It is luxury all over! Just be mindful, the paths can get slippery when it rains and the accommodation is spread across a big property which crosses a road (they have security that stops traffic for you). If you’re unable to walk 5 min to the breakfast restaurant, suggest you ask for a room closer to the facilities. The serenity away from the hustle is awesome though! Far enough but close enough

AMAZING HOTEL! I LOVED THE DECOR THE POOL AND ALL THE PEOPLE WORK THERE! ALL VERY FRIENDLY THEY LOOK FOR EVERY DETAIL! AMAZING CLEANING GIRLS AND POOL BOYS THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING THE BREAKFAST COULD HAVE MORE VARIETY ON THE BOUFET SECTION AND THE PRICE COULD BE SLIGHTLY BETTER!BUT IT WAS A WONDERFUL STAY SALA IS AN OASIS IN THE BUSY CHAWENG BEACH!
