The Sebel Maroochydore

The view and room were excellent . Sadly the noise from the pool renovation - Monday to Saturday from 630 am : constant cutting tiles.. made for an unpleasant stay. Did not help was not made aware that the “ pool closure” was for renovations rather than just out of action until after we had booked and paid, the road noise was very noisy all day sun on the balcony was a bonus but couldn’t spend too much time out there without having to go inside for a break from the noise,

The property was great for our girls weekend, everything was close by and the outdoor spa was great.

Great locatin, lovely views, needing a bit of a facelift here and there but overall we enjoyed our stay. Pool was great, garden needs some TLC. Lucky to see some beautiful sunrises and sunsets too

Apart from all the construction next to and behind the building and the pool repairs the main road is incredibly noisy. There are traffic lights right out the front and everyone takes off spinning their tyres. The hotel itself is very run down. We booked for 3 nights, only stayed 1.

The double bedroom room on the 12th floor was good enough for our stay there were 4 of us - it was clean and nice and comfortable - there was noise from construction site but since we were out all day it didn’t bother us but the early morning starts woke us - such is life. we had ocean view room which was nice - The pool is completely shaded in the late afternoon and can be really windy if there is a northerly wind - other than this we had a great time and recommend it if your not looking for extreme luxury and quiet - oh and the balcony is noisy from the hoons on the main road below!

Property was in a bit of a shabby state and needing modernising. General feeling about the place that it needs refreshing and all the grounds outside were black with grime - needed a good pressure clean. View was nice. Ensuite was not private - if someone was standing on the balcony above they could look straight into the bathroom and there were No blinds on ensuite windows.

We were moved to a higher floor 1204, which was nice. BUT move was disappointing as there were renovations happening and it was very noisy. Was advised at front desk 3 moves had happened, which is why I felt we got the better room. Was advised room ready when I called about 90mins before arriving, when we arrived room wasn't ready, cleaners were in. Guessing because others requested room move due to noise. Unit dated and needed a good deep clean. Lounge crevices were filthy, ceiling needs clean near aircon duct. Air con played up, although maintenance attended, was advised 3 units had same issue. Noise from traffic could be heard as doors don't seal completely.

Property was quite dirty Couch and carpet changed color from dirt and germ

Clothes Dryer stop timer did not work and ruined clothes, noisy, spa taps dripped, shower mould. Generally looking tired, test n tag on appliances is out of date too

Positives: The size of our apartment was fantastic. Reception were kind enough to let us check in early. The bed was comfortable. Great location! Negatives: The dishwasher didn’t work in the morning. There were tissues under the floating vanity in the ensuite, as well as a used tanning mitt and a bag of old rubbish in the cabinet. Sadly, industrial noise hummed all night from the site next door, well past the local curfew. It was like a tractor was parked on the deck.

Well kept property n clean. Only issue for me is the shower head ( would prefer with a hose ). And should have a dish sponge for washing of dishes.

The room was clean but showing signs of age. The receptionist on duty when we checked in was lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, however surprised with just how noisy the street was even when the doors were closed.

Great location and views. Beautiful apartments.

The condo was fabulous and the front desk staff were very helpful and upbeat. It was close to anything and everything that we wanted. We were in a corner unit on the 8th floor and the views were remarkable a corner unit and the view was remarkable.

Great hotel! Huge rooms, amazing view, big kitchen comfortable beds.

Spacious apartment but some of the fittings and appliances looking aged and need to be replaced.

I like that the apartments are close to the beach, however, i was very disappointed that we had exposure to cigarette smoke from a neighbouring apartment in the same building every day while trying to appreciate the views from our balcony and the smell would drift into our apartment. The apartment also needed maintenance with taps falling off, lights not working and the bed was very uncomfortable with indentation. I would have appreciated at least some proactive measures to try and move us to another apartment. Will not be returning.

Staff were amazing

Wonderful people behind the desk. Amy in particular.

We were aalocated room 801, beautiful unit, however it was neglected, someone had written on the safe faulty do not use with a sharpie in really poor writing. Then we found the locks did not work in the bathrooms. We then went for a swim and put our clothes in dryer which sounded like a lawn mower hitting something it was that loud that we could not stand it and had ti turn it off. Then we went to have shower and there were no blinds. We thought it was because it had film over the window but i asked my son to turn the lights off in the bathroom and i went out to the balcony to see if we could see each other and there he was as clear as a bell waving to me. So we had to have a shower in darkness or use the other shower which you could not lock the door. We took videos and spoke to reception who said that theze units were all privately owned but she would make a record of the complaints and they would get back to us, which they never did avoid this place if you can or at least this unit.

Surprised by the lack of amenities available with the hotel considering the price. Also how outdated the room was. Was very clean and location was perfect for my needs.
