Amazing hotel. From the moment you walk in you get a top notch level of service. Rooms in the Prestige tower are awesome and very well appointed. The breakfast was a highlight. The spa is simply unbelievable to go swimming and working out and even better for enjoying hot tub, steam room, sauna and cold plunge. The bar on the 41st floor has an amazing view with a large offering of Japanese whisky. It was hard leaving the hotel each morning!

We love this hotel so much. The spa with pool is fabulous. The rooms are immaculately clean and large with very comfortable beds . The staff are super attentive and helpful. Food is delicious. 5 stars all the way. We have stayed there 4 separate visits now and we will do so again when in Tokyo. Wonderful

Great property with amazing views from the rooms. We were able to see Mt. Fuji during the mornings. Big and clean rooms with best amenities. This property is around consulates and government offices so it is very safe but very formal and you have to take a cab for 10 mins for tourist attractions. There were many tourists with young kids too. Tokyo station is 10 mins by cab so when you are going to Kyoto via Shinkansen this hotel is very convenient. It is very easy to get a cab and the staff at the hotel is amazingly helpful and humble. Food options are also great at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for your Tokyo vacation.

Okura Tokyo exceeded our expectations, it is so technologically advanced, comfortable and very well designed. The room was the largest of all the rooms we stayed in Japan, (Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto). The staff is top notch, the buffet breakfast is delicious and did I mention the room had it’s own private steam room!!!!! I strongly recommend Okura Tokyo and Okura Kyoto!

PERFECT but i couldnt sleep in the corner bedrooms because the windows would make a weird popping sound. So i recommend staying in the regular rooms at prestige or suites at the heritage. Just avoid the corner rooms

Had an amazing time from checking in to checking out. Immediately after checking in I was led to my room where my luggage was brought up and soon was met with a tea service. Staff was attentive and courteous, came back to a clean room every night, turn down service including water by the nightstand, tasty chocolate, and origami. Checkout was personable the staff called me a cab to get to the airport and loaded my luggage. Would highly recommend staying here.

After a 24-hour journey, which included a 16-hour flight and transfers without sleep, we finally arrived at The Okura Hotel in Japan. Receptionist asked me to provide my credit card for the deposit. I explained that I would pay for the room in cash and use the credit card only for additional expenses. However, ignoring what I said, she tried to charge the full cost of the hotel to my credit card. I repeated that I wanted to pay in cash, and then she asked me to show them the cash. I did as they asked, but she said the payment had to be in yen. So I started exchanging my money for yen using the machine at the hotel. I had already exchanged about two-thirds of the room cost when the machine malfunctioned and failed to return my money. I informed them that the machine was not working and that only a small part of the payment was left. However, ignoring how exhausted we were, he said that the room would only be provided after full payment. He then gave us the address of an exchange office to convert the rest of the money. Exchanging the money took about several hour, and finally, after much stress and exhaustion, they gave us the room we had booked for eight nights. Whether what they did was right or wrong is for you to judge, but for us, it left nothing but a bad memory.

The Okura epitomizes graciousness and dignity. Starting with the unobtrusive attentiveness of personnel and extending to peaceful design esthetic, furnishings, room comfort, and every other aspect of my visit (Heritage Wing). This will be my choice in Tokyo from now on.

The Okura is wonderful. The staff are very responsive. The facilities, especially the spa and pool area, are second to none, the food is really high quality with lots of variety and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It's a favorite hotel for my husband and I. Our second time staying (with 8 days total at the Okura) and we will be back.

We weren’t in business suits because we were on vacation and it’s as if we were invisible to the staff. We asked where the business center was located and two separate employees said they did not have a business center (they do, it’s on the sixth floor). The hospitality was average at best. The best part about the stay was the breakfast that was free, and the food in the club lounge, which was also free as part of the room we stayed in. We were in the Heritage side, and maybe that’s considered the “lower class” side for them, not sure, but they definitely didn’t provide 5 star service to us. As a side note, we had just left a 5 star hotel in Kyoto (Hotel MITSUI) and before that, another 5 start hotel in Tokyo (Park Hyatt Tokyo), so we understand what 5 star service looks like in Japan, and this certainly was not it.

The Okura is a beautiful hotel. The staff are polite, pleasant, eager to please. However…..there are two towers (Prestige and Heritage) of which we knew nothing as this was not indicated anywhere by Expedia or on the hotel’s own site. The entrance to the Prestige Tower is dramatic and the lobby is enormous; but the entrance to the Heritage Tower is blasé, boring, rather small, and not representative of a luxury hotel. The staff in the lobby of the Prestige Tower are competent, knowledgeable and their English language skill is fine. Not so in the Heritage Tower where the English language skills of the lobby staff is poor, and they don’t know where places are in Tokyo, how best to get there, and say they’ll arrange for a taxi and don’t. The welcoming lady in the Heritage Tower explained that our “breakfast included” privilege could be taken in several locations, including Room Service. But, when we received the bill for our stay, we were charged the equivalent of $65 for breakfast in our room on one morning. Apparently, as was explained on checkout, the Room Service breakfast was to only be the basic Continental Breakfast. Anything beyond that (such as cereal or potatoes) were charged. This was absolutely not told to us on check-in. And even the taxis don’t know that there’s a 2nd tower (Heritage) either coming in or going out. The Okura needs to better train their Heritage staff, and to change things to make that tower, more inviting. Prestige Tower is good.

The hotel is probably one of the best hotels in Tokyo. It is located at a very safe neighborhood given that there is the US embassy residence in front of the hotel. However, it was not that pedestrian-friendly because it is located on the top of the hill.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Large and quiet rooms with attentive staff. Most sights and restaurants require short cab rides, but some are within walking distance. Hotel is across the street from US Embassy.

The Okura was first rate. Super polite and accomodating staff. The property itself is immaculate and spotless. Their breakfast buffet was delicious, whether you choose the traditional Japanese breakfast or western breakfast. We were able to walk to Tokyo Tower and Team Labs Borderless. The hotel is very close to all the subway lines so easy to get to anywhere. The gym and pool were beautiful and we used them everyday.

THe Okura is exquisite, a real 5 star experience. EVERYTHING is top notch! The only negative is that the restaurants are pricey - but you definiteiy get what you pay for. Sushi and other fish are the freshest & best cuts I've ever had. The Wagyu beef is second to none. if you want to treat yourself & dont care about price stay at the Okura!

The room and staff are beyond 10 stars. The only thing we didn’t like was the food at the hotel bar on the rooftop . Breakfast was excellent, we ate one night at the starlight lounge on the top floor, and the food was horrible. Go to the starlight lounge only for drinks.
