Very nice hotel in a great location. Right next to the train/subway station, and a 2 min walk to all the action. Staff was very nice and rooftop bar had good drinks. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars from me is the lack of space in the rooms. Other than that, it is perfect.

I ended up getting a room with 2 beds just to get more space as the rooms were very tiny. Very convenient close to McDonald's, 7-Eleven and trains. At night it was a bit noisy and felt a little unsafe. No laundry in hotel. Have to bring food to service desk to microwave your food.

As a base for travelling it doesnt get much better than Prince hotel, super close to Shinjuku East Gate (and if you walk 1min more, West Gate), and on the doorstep to Kabukicho (you can decide if thats a good thing or not). The hotel itself has a nice lobby area, is easily accessible by train if you dont want to take taxis or use luggage forwarding, has weighing facilities, a restaurant and bar and more. The double room we booked was a little lacking compared to our other stays. We chose the "remodelled" option. The room itself is spacious enough for 4 large cases to fit and stay open, there are all the usual hotel amenities provided like water, a fridge, etc which was good to see. The bathroom is not your traditional Japanese wetroom type, it is more like a western bathroom with a shower and bathtub. This part of the room felt like it did not receive a remodel, but you aren't living in the bathroom so that is not a big problem. Our only issue was that the soundproofing in this room did not seem to be adequate, as we could frequently hear the conversations of people in other rooms down the hall (to no fault of their own, they were not shouting or overly loud). Besides that, the staff were excellent and ensured that we were cared for during the stay. They speak English and Japanese.

Had a great stay at the Shinjuku Prince Hotel. Vlery convenient, only 2-3 blocks tto the train station. Walkable to restaurants and shopping. There are shops and restaurants in the ssme building. Rooftop restaurant has great views. Located in the Golden Gai area. This area is good for nightlife. The hotel was very nice & clean. The rooms are small as most are in Japan, but functional as I had what I needed. Recommend couples and damilies to upgrade to the larger rooms for walking space. The staff was very nice and polite, most spoke English. The staff even accomodated a very late check out due to a delayed flight and kept my luggage for a few hours while I enjoyed the last few hours of the area. I recommend this hotel and would stay again! Thank you for the great experience.

Convenient property in Shinjuku, Kabuchiko area with plenty of food options. The airport limousine bus stops close by. Shinjuku Prince Hotel is connected to a mall and Seibu train and about a 7 min walk to Shinjuku Station. Can get a bit crowed and noisy at street level, but we could barely hear any noise from our room. Close to a Donki too. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are standard size for Japan

Convenient location, friendly staff, decent breakfast. My only complaint would be that the bathroom smelled absolutely horrible. Like something died in the sink/bathtub pipes. I was too lazy to request another room after unpacking, so I just accepted the smell, but I had to leave that bathroom door closed or else the whole room would stink. Room comes with air refreshening spray, but that didn’t help much. Also, the AC took 3 days to get down to 70 degrees. AC is very weak, and it automatically turns to the lowest speed after a while, so when you come back from being outside in the heat, the room is barely cooled. Bathroom was very small, but I guess that’s normal in Tokyo, can’t complain too much. Other than the horrible smell and the weak AC, if I were to stay in Shinjuku again I’d probably stay here because of the convenient location. Very close to Shinjuku Station and Seibu Shinjuku station.

Rooms are pretty small and not very soundproof. We could hear the room next to us banging around in the shower at 1:30am. Plus the smell of sewer leaching from the bathroom so be sure to close the door! Good central location for Shinjuku which is a whole “experience” in itself..

The hotel room was decent. Customer service was amazing. Everytime we needed something they provided right away. It was the bed that was not comfortable, it was very hard! After a long day of sightseeing and walking all you want is a nice comfortable bed to go back to. I wished they did better use with the space layout. Everything is in the entrance … bathroom, about a 3 foot counter and the bed..back to back. So it leaves the room feeling very reduced. Also…bed did not have a fitted sheet and the mattress pad was way smaller than the actual mattress. Apparently this is common in Japan but atleast in other hotels the mattress pad is the same size of the bed. Again, service was great. The staff were extremely polite which may the stay a lot more pleasing.

Great location to use Seibo Shinjuku station (google does not use as an option but easy to figure out). Great to move around Tokyo everything is about 30 min away, If you are arriving from the airport get the limousine bus the above station. We had a standard room, bed is pushed against wall so tight for 2 people. You hear the distant rattle of trains,

The room was a deluxe 2 bed twin, it had much more room than other hotel rooms I have stayed. This one had been remodeled. I loved that it had a little couch and table plus a desk. The closet is totally open and has a shelf for the hot water kettle with cups and coffee/tea in the drawers. The bathroom needed hooks and shelves, it was refurbished with a prefab tub and walls and ceiling. You need to step up to get into the toilet/tub area, so you need to be careful not to trip getting in there. We were on the view over the train tracks, which if you like trains it is fun to watch.

Was really disappointed with some of the policies of the hotel. I arrived an hour earlier than check-in. They said the room was ready so I asked if we could get the keys earlier. They wanted to charge us an hourly fee for the room. If it’s ready and it’s sitting empty, I don’t really understand why this is an issue? Our other hotels were able to accommodate so unsure why it was a problem here. The room itself was tiny and worn down. It was clean but definitely below four star standard. The walls were also incredibly thin. I could hear detailed conversations of our neighbours. Overall would avoid, it was our worst hotel in Japan and our most expensive per night, including other hotels in Tokyo.

The staff was amazing!!! We had to book with them as a last minute emergency due to a horrible stay at our initial hotel. We literally had to check out of the previous hotel at midnight and had no where to go. Luckily I was able to book a room with them for the next day till the end of our trip but had nowhere to stay for that night. The staff helped us find a close hotel for that night and held our luggage till we returned to check in. The rest of our trip was great because of the Shinjuku Prince hotel and especially their staff. I will only stay at their properties from now on. I even signed up for their rewards program.

Was actually pretty confusing the first time I arrived as I had to circle around a few times to figure out where to park and then try to figure out how to get up to the hotel since it was connected to the subway. After that the location of the hotel was excellent as it was right outside the main area of Shinjuku across the street.

We got a three person room and the beds were large enough for everyone. As you can expect for most hotels in Japan there was not a ton of extra space sound the beds but we could make it work. Location was fantastic - close to main train station and lots of food options. Breakfast buffet was also excellent!

We reserved two rooms and had a wonderful 7-night stay at the Prince Hotel. The location is excellent, just steps away from the train station and shopping, making it the perfect base to explore the city. I asked for a lousy two hour courtesy late check out and was told I had to sign up to a club and pay a fee. Really? 2 hour extension? Breakfast was not really that great and was very crowded with pushy Chinese who thought it was the last meal
