Great hotel with good breakfast and beds. Easy to rent bikes in hotel or nearby in the street. Nice rooftopbar with a great view on Valencia. Easy to reach with public transport and super friendly staff. We will be back one day

Rooms were nice, breakfast was good (although the hot food could have been a bit hotter). The pool isn’t really a pool but the roof area is nice. Well connected with bus stop outside the property. Would come here again.

It was very nice, shame about the pool size but there is nothing they could have done about that 2 Security Gates to go through and no drink service at the pool but in relation to the size of the pool that’s not really surprising Lack of information about the pool which could be improved

Gutes Stadthotel in relativ zentraler Lage zur Altstadt und Strand. Das Fitnessstudio ist leider viel zu klein und nur eine Handvoll Geräte vorhanden.

Sehr schönes Hotel in toller Lage (direkt an Turia und CAC). Das Frühstück war traumhaft und lässt keine Wünsche offen! Der Rooftop-Pool ist toll und auch die Rooftop-Bar ist auf jedenfall einen Besuch wert. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber dennoch sehr gemütlich und schön. Das Personal ist bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen, zb Tickets für Ausflüge organisieren. Fahrradverleih gibt es preiswert direkt im Hotel. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Great hotel, staff friendly and helpful, fantastic location for all parts of the city, small pool is lovely at the end of a days sightseeing. Rooftop bar is fantastic, beautiful views.

Construction around the hotel very noisy in the morning . Also pool and gym are not in good condition. Good shopping around the area

As soon as I checked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell, and the floor was still wet. I immediately requested a room change, which they accommodated, but the new room had the same odor. I didn’t want to ask for another change, so I just stayed, but it seemed like the smell came from dirty mop water mixed with bleach. The location was decent, and overall, the hotel was fine, but their response to this odor issue was disappointing. Also, as an Expedia Gold member, I was supposed to receive vip benefits, but there was no mention of this at check-in. The rooftop bar had a great night view, but they only served drinks—no snacks—and it closed at 11:00 pm, so I’d recommend going early. Drinks were slightly pricier than nearby restaurants, but the atmosphere was nice. Overall, a few aspects were underwhelming.

Housekeeping missed a lot of items each day in my room(garbage bags, condiments for coffee, took my keycard one day)

Schönes, großes Zimmer, ruhige Lage. Mit dem Bus ist man schnell in der Altstadt. Blöd war die mega dreckige Kaffeetasse im Zimmer :(

De douche was smerig. De wasbakken hadden een loslatende kitlaag.

My room was exceptionally clean, and even though I only stayed for one night, I truly enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was great, offering plenty of delicious options to choose from. Nice location too because it is near the Science Center.

We stayed here while we got our daughter settled to study abroad here in Valencia for the year. Nice facility. Great staff. Always have a friendly security guard on duty so it felt very safe. Always clean. Would absolutely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Barcelo. Upon our arrival, Tony and the men with the glasses were very attentive and helpful! Overall, everything was very clean, and the breakfast buffet was excellent and fresh. The location is great – just 15 minutes by bike to the city and 15 minutes to the beach. We can highly recommend this hotel!

Great hotel in Valencia between the beach & Old Town, with the Turia on the doorstep making it easy to navigate Old Town. Hotel is large, modern & airy. All the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. We ate in 3 of the restaurant recommendations they gave us - all superb! We booked the ‘family plan room’ as we were 3 adults who all like a proper bed as we were there 4 nights. The pictures & description suggested this was one large room with a king & 2 x singles. This was not the case it is actually 2 interconnecting rooms, so although you got loads of space & twice as many bathrooms it’s not the same as all being in together somehow. We all commented that if we were a family with younger children we might not have been so happy as there are obviously 2 external doors plus the bathrooms were back to back in the middle so you are quite a long way away the bedrooms. The other ‘challenge’ was that the bathrooms had no doors - all very open plan & glass screens so if you like privacy for your ablutions then this required a lot of shouting ‘all clear’ before exiting the bedroom area 😂. Separate toilets behind frosted glass were also not ideal for a friends group (or teenagers!). I appreciate these sound like 2 big moans but we had a great stay, hotel is super comfy, convenient and I would recommend but I think the room description could be clearer & would love it if they put some doors on the bathroom! It gave us a funny memory of the trip!

The hotel is about a 30-40 minute walk to the historic area and less than 10 from the park. The room is modern and spacious, and the internet worked well. I needed a firmer pillow and they easily provided one to fit my needs.

I had a good stay, it is a very convenient location. The room was nice and had lots of space. If you stay here, I would highly recommend ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones, as it seemed like the windows have no insulation to the outside street noise. And as per Valencia, fireworks late at night and while I was there, a nighttime street marathon with a drumline until about 1am.

Ingen standard som ett 4-stjärnigt hotell borde ha. Rummen var slitna, hade mycket skavanker, fläckar, söndriga partier på olika delar av rummet. Fuskbygge i princip. Inget fel på frukosten men man hade önskat lite mer påfyllning så man inte behövde vänta på att sakerna tog slut. Fick checka in redan vid 11 istället för 16 vilket var jättetrevligt. Pluspoäng ☺️ Inget fel på hotellet, utan bara att jag förväntade mig lite lyxigare upplevelse av ett hotell med 4 stjärnor

The hotel is a bit in the middle from the city . Beach and center both 2 - 3 km. The rooftop and the swimming pool was very nice. We where ourself a bit unlucky with our room. The window blinds didn't cover our window and our airco didnt work properly. The size of the room was very good

When we checked in the TV was broken and the lamp had broken off the wall. Rooms aren’t sound proof. Annoyingly, they also gave us two single beds pushed together, which wasn’t the room we booked on the photos. The rooftop pool was nice, but it got very busy and the music was too loud and annoying. Hotel was ok, but I wouldn’t come back here.

Lovely hotel and great staff. Went to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday and they went above and beyond. We got a small room upgrade a bottle of fizz and cake in the room which was a really lovely touch.

Extremly poor service in the dinning hal. The staff there was increadibly rude. They were very obviously gossiping about the hotel guests. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable. Very limited English speaking. Pool is only open from 11h until 20pm and not heated. Nice rooftopbar but you are obliged to order at least 10euro pp, meaning you cannot order soft drinks. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel was great, i can't say enough about the room it was phenomenal. The surrounding area is alright, there are restaurants within walking distance. The only reason why I didn't give the hotel a 5 star rating is because the staff at the rooftop bar was very rude, they did not make you feel welcomed. We ended up walking to another bar nearby who did provide good and friendly service. Overall it is a great place to stay, the hotel was fantastic as was the front desk staff but, stay away from the rooftop bar.

Roof top bar was great and gave you a great view of the city. Room was clean and was your standard issue room. As a black couple we were questioned why we were entering the hotel every single time that we came back to the hotel while other guests were not questioned. Not a good look overall especially when it was some of the same staff over and over again that inquired. Hope it was isolated but something to consider...

Hotel was excellent. Rooftop bar very nice. Everything walkable if you dont mind doing loads of steps. If not no 19 bus went straight to the Old Town. Very clean, staff friendly and approachable. On the day of the half marathon breakfast opened early for the runners. On completion of marathon, the hotel gave runners free sweets, fruit and bottled water. The sights were spectacular. Only thing restaurant choice not brilliant around the hotel

We love Barcelo! We have stayed at several of their properties and they never disappoint. We stayed at the Valencia property and Toni (front desk staff member) was exemplary in his ability to demonstrate the highest level of customer service and consistently ensured our satisfaction throughout our stay. Toni extended us an upgrade without us having to ask. We will continue to make Barcelo our hotel of choice.

We had the nicest experience here! When we checked the lady was so lovely. She was kind, attentive and helpful. She also upgraded us to a beautiful suite! It was amazing! Beautiful views of the city and lights! There is a beautiful Sky Bar on the rooftop! We highly recommend this hotel!

Infelizmente, a experiência deixou a desejar logo de cara: o check-in só é permitido a partir das 16h, algo extremamente tardio e incomum para um hotel. O atendimento na recepção também foi decepcionante, sem carisma ou simpatia. Considerando que o hotel é classificado como 4 estrelas, esperava um serviço mais eficiente e atencioso. Um exemplo foi o pedido de água para o quarto: como o frigobar do quarto não possui nada nem para comprar, solicitamos três vezes água e, mesmo assim, ninguém levou. No fim, tivemos que descer para buscar na recepção — uma demonstração clara de desorganização. Por outro lado, alguns pontos positivos merecem ser mencionados. A localização é boa, especialmente para quem deseja visitar a Cidade das Artes e Ciências. O café da manhã é muito bom, com bastante variedades. O hotel também possui um rooftop agradável, com bar e piscina. No entanto, a piscina é bem pequena, então, se sua ideia é relaxar curtindo essa área, talvez esse não seja o hotel ideal. Outro ponto incômodo foi o ar-condicionado do quarto, que desligava automaticamente sem aviso, e só percebíamos quando o ambiente já estava quente e desconfortável.

The rooms are clean. Staff are great! You can't beat the location of this hotel. You can walk everywhere. Hotels.com VIP gets you free parking which is a big deal in the city.

Perfect location. Walking distance Jardin del Turia. Beach and old town within 20 mins by bike. Great breakfast and rooftop bar.

The breakfast was excellent and the amenities were also great. We actually walked everywhere but you have a taxi stand right in front of the hotel which is very convenient. Love our stay at the Barceló.

Excellent property in a very desirable area. Walking distance to old town and walking distance to beaches. Right across from Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencies, close to Jardin de Turia.

Two nights getting to know València … we loved the city, and Barceló was a wonderful hotel for our stay. The location was fantastic. A beautiful walk to the old town or a short bus ride on Bus 19 (Euro 1.50 paid on the bus with a touch credit card—super easy). We would stay here again. We even got free parking with hotels.com

The hotel is super clean! The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety for everyone. Staff was wonderful! I didn't like the upstairs bar 😕 15$ for a cocktail that maybe had a gnatts butt of alcohol.

Gute Lage, sauberes und schönes Hotel. Reichhaltiges und gesundes Frühstücksbuffet und eine tolle Rooftopbar mit gute Aussicht auf València. Gerne wieder!

Impeccable sur toute la ligne. Localisation parfaite et que dire du buffet déjeuner, le meilleur en terme de variété et de qualité que j’ai mangé dans un hôtel de cette catégorie. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Barcelo Valencia was incredible from start to finish! We arrived early in the day and although check in starts at 4, they had a room and gave it to us at 12pm. The room with the view of Ciudad de las artes y ciencias truly had a beautiful view of the city, and was spacious. Beds were comfy and bathroom big and lots of amenities available both in the room and upon request. The hotel staff are AMAZING, so kind and helpful, from the receptionists to the restaurant staff and cleaners. They have signs up in the restaurant that say the breakfast is unforgettable, and they aren’t lying. There’s a chef that will make you omelettes, fresh pancakes, etc. There is also a buffet filled with every kind of fruit, cheese, bread, pastry, deli meats and more- highly recommend getting breakfast included. The chef was super understanding that we don’t eat pork and made our omelettes on some baking paper to avoid cross contamination. The pool and gym are small but still very well looked after, the rooftop bar has a great view of the city too. The location is great, not too far from the city centre, about a 25min walk and a 15min bus ride. It’s a little harder to get back at night after 10:30pm without a taxi though, as buses become less frequent. All in all, a great stay- would highly recommend staying here!!
