It's an alright property for what you pay for. A bit disturbing that the security door guard was snapped right off which meant that people only needed a key card to get in. Despite it saying that it was non-smoking, the room had a strange smell to it. But other than that, it was clean and that means a lot. There are a few fast food places within a 5 to15 minute walk as long as you don't mind having large highway haulers go whipping by you. Keep in mind that it is NOT close to the airport so you'll be looking at a $20 cab fare and despite the number that come up with a 'Windor taxi' in your search, most of them only take the lucrative trips between Windsor and Detroit; not the airport. If I was only staying for a night, I could stay here again. But anything more, I'd look for something else.

The staff are friendly and the hotel itself is clean, it’s just outdated. Bathroom fixtures could be updated, the shower needed more pressure or a better shower head. The television only gives you 13 channels (not many genres to choose from), the screen is grainy and the tv’s do not allow you to plug in the USB to stream off your phone. The hotel parking lot isn’t busy, lots of space to park, yet they want $10 per night per vehicle for any extra vehicles, just a cash grab for not being a very updated place. I’d stay again, but only because staff is friendly and the location is right.

Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The TV setup was basic, there was no tv guide to see what was playing so you just had to flip through channels. The breakfast was basic, but the room was like a sauna, very warm. The hotel did have automatic doors for handicap and seniors which is always nice to see.

A great place to stop when travelling to the US, very close to the bridge. Not a luxury hotel but very nice, clean and all you need. Internet works, parking is easy and being able to grab a quick coffee and something to eat before continuing the journey is very helpful.

Property was decent. The room we stayed in appeared to be lightly cleaned. Our bathroom mirror was extremely dirty as if it hadn't been cleaned in a couple stays. The sheets on our bed had black markings on it. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. For a cheeper hotel it wasn't the worst however cleaning improvements could be made!

The continental breakfast was lovely and a nice treat in the morning. The bedding looked clean, however the sheets and arm chair were stained, lamps were in need of repair and carpet needed deep cleaning. The room also was damp and musty. Would have been nice to prepare the room by turning on the AC before guests arrival.

The property was very poorly maintained. The sheets where stained, the room was dirty and the bathroom was not only dirty but had a lot of black mold growing in the shower and on the floor. I booked a three night stay and had to check out after the first night as my husband started have breathing problems. When I spoke to the desk staff they offer no apology or compensation for the prepaid losted nights.

Room at the exit had strong smell of cigarette smoke - raised issue with front desk was moved to another musky room. Despite a no smoking sign people are smoking at the entrance to the lobby. Ample space on property for management to build a smoking shed away from the main building. Bed wasn't queen size, but a double. Staff were pleasant and accommodating.

Bed was great and we were only there to sleep. It was easy to hear everything in the rooms beside us. Breakfast was lacking. Had to find our own napkins and sugar in the cupboards. Ran out of yogurt. Waffle maker was off but still warm so we didn’t notice until it was too late and the waffle was wasted.

No elevator! Hotel turns the fans off in rooms so the room is hot and smells until the fan is able to circulate the air. Breakfast was meh, they were out of some cereal and still use communal cream cheese etc instead of individual ones. It was also like eating breakfast in a sauna as they kept the door closed so no ac got in until someone propped the door open. Someone spilled a coffee in the entryway to the dining room and notified the man at the front desk who refused to clean it up. It sat there on the floor for at least 15 mins until I inquired about it on our way out as numerous people had almost walked in it. Front desk guy told me he called housekeeping to clean it up. I grabbed some napkins from the breakfast area and wiped it up myself. Seems ridiculous to pull housekeeping from cleaning rooms at peak checkout time just to wipe up some coffee but front desk employee just seemed to want to sit on his phone. Very overpriced for a cheap motel experience.

I had reserved a 2 night stay via Expedia for $200 a few days before arrival. When I show up, the manager says that my room was cancelled by them because my card didn’t go through ( my card had money on it). I did not receive any cancellation email from the hotel or Expedia so I was very confused. He offered me a new room but for $300. He even offered to lower it to $290 but I felt like it was a ploy to get me to spend more money than intended. I went on Expedia and the room he was offering for $290 was available for $240. I saw another similar hotel available for $170 so I booked there instead. When I told the manager, he said “well it’s going to take $50 in taxi fees to get there” even though it was a 10 min drive. I told him that I drove my own car and he got upset, saying “then go there then!”. I grabbed my things and left. Terrible experience but thankful that I was able to save $30 to stay at a hotel that was closer to the people I was visiting.

Great room. I made a mistake when I got this room. I was sure it was 2 Queen size beds and when we arrived it was just a single queen size. The attendent that day gave us an upgrade at no additional cost. It was really appreciated.

That I was charged my $304 for this day which is absolutely understandable but another $128 10 specifically from my bank saying ambassador super 8 charged again. I have called twice to talk to them and they wanted 100 number for super 8 at the specific location she has been nothing but rude saying she can't do anything about it this was not her charging I said I understand you didn't do it but your company did and I'm going to need you to figure it out because this is an unnecessary charge she has hung up on me twice I'm refuses to tell me what a manager will be in this is absolutely unprofessional and I'm not happy with the service here I'm now having to dispute it through my bank because nobody will help me the 1-800 number super 8 says each individual super 8 is privately owned and they can't go into anything to do anything to help me I can definitely post this screenshot of it saying my original charge and then the extra charge specifically from this super 8 ambassador location on huron church

A great place to stop when travelling to the US, very close to the bridge. Not a luxury hotel but very nice, clean and all you need. Internet works, parking is easy and being able to grab a quick coffee and something to eat before continuing the journey is very helpful.

I was coming to Windsor from the Sarnia area for the night. The Super 8 was clean and easy to find. It is conveniently located near major highways and lots of restaurants and stores. It was also quite close to the other parts of the Windsor area that I was visiting.

Although the noise level didn’t bother our sleep, it is worth noting for light sleepers the hotel is very near the ECRow Expressway. Huron Church is busy with transport trucks.

Noisy Air Conditioner. It's an Ok place for a Motel. I would not have stayed here if I was able to find a better hotel at a reasonable rate. One way street with hundreds of Semi trucks filling the road in front of the Motel. I won't stay here again.

No elevator! Hotel turns the fans off in rooms so the room is hot and smells until the fan is able to circulate the air. Breakfast was meh, they were out of some cereal and still use communal cream cheese etc instead of individual ones. It was also like eating breakfast in a sauna as they kept the door closed so no ac got in until someone propped the door open. Someone spilled a coffee in the entryway to the dining room and notified the man at the front desk who refused to clean it up. It sat there on the floor for at least 15 mins until I inquired about it on our way out as numerous people had almost walked in it. Front desk guy told me he called housekeeping to clean it up. I grabbed some napkins from the breakfast area and wiped it up myself. Seems ridiculous to pull housekeeping from cleaning rooms at peak checkout time just to wipe up some coffee but front desk employee just seemed to want to sit on his phone. Very overpriced for a cheap motel experience.

Paid in advance but still was required to pay a $200.00 deposit. Not a big fan of that requirement. Was told I will get a refund on checkout. Makes no sense to me. Got to the breakfast area a little after 9 AM and it was a mess. No clean tables. Garbage bin overflowing and prep area a shambles.

We were staying only for one night and I am not sure I would have liked to have stayed any longer. The hallway had an odor about it and the ceilings clearly needed some painting or work to cover up the leak stains. One should never see mildew in the bathroom either. It is very old and outdated. The sign outside said new rooms but we have no idea where such rooms are! The breakfast room has 3 tables and are tightly squeezed in. Selection is extremely limited and it's so small that very few people even want to stay, but the idea of eating in your room isn't appealing either. Very disappointed in this stay.

Bed was great and we were only there to sleep. It was easy to hear everything in the rooms beside us. Breakfast was lacking. Had to find our own napkins and sugar in the cupboards. Ran out of yogurt. Waffle maker was off but still warm so we didn’t notice until it was too late and the waffle was wasted.

There wasn't much of an option for breakfast. Bagels, toast, muffins, waffles, and yogurt, bananas and apples. There was a communal cream cheese container which should have been individual packages for obvious reasons.

Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The TV setup was basic, there was no tv guide to see what was playing so you just had to flip through channels. The breakfast was basic, but the room was like a sauna, very warm. The hotel did have automatic doors for handicap and seniors which is always nice to see.
