Our rooms were big and clean. Huge bathrooms. They were newly refurbished and very modern. The building had lots of character. Nice Bar. No in-hotel dining other than breakfast (we didn't use it), but short walk into the heart of Leuven where there are many restaurants. The staff were very helpful. This hotel is in the heart of Leuven so not recommended for driving (it's down some very narrow streets and close to the pedestrian-only areas which makes it difficult when you make a navigation error! It's very confusing as to which streets you can drive down.). The hotel parking was full and we were sent to an overflow car park a few minutes away.

Martin’s Kloster Hotel ist ein sehr schönes Hotel In Leuven. Zentral gelegen, ruhig und mit einem sehr schönen Ambiente. Das Frühstück ist herrlich und die Bar sehr gemütlich. Der Innenhof und die Aussenanlagen sind sehr schön. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Très belle chambre et spacieuse, j’ai profité de ma nuit rewards donc parfait. L(hôtel est parfaitement situé au centre ville et bénéficie d’un garage souterrain à 30 euros la nuit (40 places pour l’hôtel seulement et pas de réservation possible) donc il faut de la chance.

Large room and great bathroom. Breakfast not worth it, many restaurants in short walking distance. Staff was great and stay was fine, but room needs an update. Furniture dated and shows signs of wear. Wish there was a restaurant, the bar menu is terrible, no food cooked fresh on site. They could grow herbs and edible flowers in the ‘cloister’ area for meals made fresh on site. That would truly be eco-sustainable.

Beautifully clean and well-maintained hotel in a quiet street near the old centre of Leuven. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms spotless. The staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and the hotel bar well-stocked with a good ambiance. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent and convenient place to stay. Late night fire alarm meant we found the excellent bar.

Beautiful room, hotel and grounds. Staff were very friendly. Our room was on a high floor with a gorgeous view. The hotel bar was located in the Monastery area, again beautiful, historic. Well positioned for walking around the town and further afield. If staying in Leuven again we would definitely stay here.

The Hotel is a nice hotel but the drain was blocked in the shower and took ages for the water to go. Had to shower quick! Also the floor wasn’t clean in the bathroom.

Modern and updated property. We stayed two nights. The first night we were in a very cramped room with a super soft bed that creaked and there was dust on the bedside tables. We were moved to another room and it was much better - larger and bed was firm. There is no real view from the rooms (construction site) but was a quiet and pleasant stay. Front desk staff were courteous and friendly. Easy to walk into town.

We experienced & are extremely grateful for a very charming welcome & a beautiful & exquisitely pristine lodging space - in fact, thanks to an early check-in, we arrived as the thorough window-washer was departing.

This is my uncomfortable experience of a week in The Exceptional Room. From my experience, I don't think they vacuum the carpets in the rooms. The dust that had fallen was still there. A very pungent, sewage-like smell will greet you in the bathroom. When I first entered the bathroom, I noticed other people's long hair here and there. After each shower, the shower stall leaks, leaving the floor soaking wet. I slipped once, but you could slip twice or three times, so be careful. The most absurd thing was that there was absolutely no place to put shampoo and soap in the shower booth. I went down to the front desk to complain, and a staff member came up, looked at it, told me to wait, and then he made one for himself using a wooden board and hangers. OMG. A few days later, my wife was in her pajamas when a technician came into her room without permission to fix it. She was so surprised that she sent him out of the room. One day, I left my card key on the wall, went out for a moment, and when I returned, it was gone. Only the housekeeper could do that, so I went to ask her, and found the card key in her pocket. Don't expect amenities to always be plentiful. Some days, they don't provide any at all, while others only provide shampoo and shower gel. There was a soap bar on the first day. One more thing. The bathtub looks really nice. However, for some reason, the water is contaminated with a lot of dirt or iron. Because of the character limit, this is all I can write.

Leuven is a great place to visit and the hotel is ideally located to enjoy the pleasures of the city. Stayed in the new part of hotel, room was clean and comfortable and bathroom was spacious.

Leuk gebouw. Schoonmaken kamer verdient wat aandacht: nog een zak met etensresten van de vorige logees onder de tafel en glazen douchewand vol spetters. Verder mooie ruime kamer met uitstekend bed. Goede verlichtingsmogelijkheden en mooi sanitair. Kleine maaltijd in de bar was perfect met goede bediening.

Very good location in the center of lovely Leuven. The hotel room did not have a shower and the water burnt us severely several times. The air condition didn't work and the staff didn't really care. After 3 complaints the hotel manager came to the room and tried to convince me that it was a "very silent" aircon. He didn't offer an explanation as to why it also was a very hot aircondition... I was also surprised there was no gym. All in all not a hotel I would recommend at all.

Der var kun et karbad og ingen brusebad. Vandets temperatur steg med jævne mellemrum til brændende varm mens man var i gang med at tage bad og det brændte og gjorde ondt. Fordi det ikke var en bruser og man sad i et kar havde man ikke engang mulighed for at flytte sig hurtigt. Det var noget værre vandplakeri på gulvet når man skal holde bruseren med den ene hånd. Helt latterligt at skulle vaske sig på den måde. Airconditionen virkede ikke. Upersonlig betjening og personale der var uerfarne.

Although the “king-size bed” turned out to be two separate single beds that were not connected, the bedding itself was comfortable. The room was a bit cold at times, but manageable. It was a little disappointing that the hotel bar was suddenly closed during our stay, as this was something we had been looking forward to. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit, which made a big difference. The breakfast was good but quite expensive for what was offered. Despite a few drawbacks, we enjoyed our stay and would still consider coming back.

Charming and beautiful property, great location! Highly recommend. The only downside was the AC was not cooling. During the day the room was about 80°F, but at night, with windows open, it cooled off.

Had a great room with a view to the garden. Room was spacious and quiet. Everyone from the staff I spoke to was super nice. Also liked the central but quiet location.

Beautiful rooms and spacious. Located in the heart of Leuven. The shower was poorly designed, however, and a lot of water went onto the floor. We contacted the front desk to have towels brought to us and they were reluctant to give it to us and would not bring it. It’s not a problem for us to pick it up but it is not the service of a 4-star hotel

Kamers zijn stijlvol & ruim. De service in dit hotel is uitmuntend. Personeel is zo opvallend behulpzaam & vriendelijk.

Very attentive and helpful staff

Heel erg naar ons zin gehad, maar moesten wel heel erg lang wachten in het bar gedeelte 1 medewerker in de bar was te weinig ze kon het niet bijhouden moesten bijna half uur wachten voor ik kon afrekenen. Dus dat is wel een verbeterpunt.

Nice property with the history of being once a monastery! But the place lacks a “soul” being rather sterile! No cozy lobby etc!… maybe because there were not many guests.. A disappointment was a female member of the reception (lady with blond hair) ! She was incapable of handling questions in a polite manner! Not a guest friendly attitude! Being in the tourist business myself for more than 40 years, I can recognise professional hospitality very well! As to our room : it was a suite yes, but bathroom disappointment ! Small and with old washbasin ! I was given a different impression by the pictures when I booked!! The rooms furniture maybe a question of taste! Overall impression was Ok but I would not book it a 2nd time!

I’ve stayed at Martin’s Klooster three times for a total of three weeks, and they have consistently offered great service and beautiful accommodations. The hotel is in a great location, tucked away in a quiet area but just a block or two from plentiful shopping and dining.

とても良いホテルでした。清潔で静かで文句が全くありません。近くにスーパーマーケットもあり、レストランもあります。駅からは歩くと２５分くらいかかります。また、泊まりたいです。

Hôtel à la localisation parfaite au cœur de la vieille ville. Super petit déjeuner très complet et qualitatif avec vue sur le joli jardin. Bar très chaleureux en terrasse comme à l'intérieur. Mobilier un peu vétuste dans les chambres mais très propre et lit confortable. Machine à café dans la chambre et pas de bouilloire mais vous pouvez apparemment en demander une à la réception
