Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort

Wonderful hotel right on the beach! Pool and hot tubs were spotless, swim up bar was perfect- especially loved the soft sandy beach. Room had all the amenities including washer dryer combo (took 5 hours for a load but did the job). We enjoyed the kitchen as well - beautiful views- definately recommend!!

The resort overall was good. Its not spread out like other places, all the amenities are close together. We stayed in the Phoenix tower which was a bit dated but the room was clean and spacious. Having a kitchen and full size fridge came in handy since food everywhere is fairly pricey. There were some renovations going on at the time, the swim up bar was closed and one of the beach towers had scaffolding. The resort wasn't too crowded so the bar wasn't missed. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food at the on site restaurants was great and there are plenty of other nearby options as well as a supermarket close by to stock up the fridge. There were daily activities to keep guests entertained. You will get asked to attend their timeshare presentation when you arrive but you can easily decline, from what I've heard it's not that aggressive but I didn't want to waste 90 mins of my vacation.

The Divi Phoenix was such a great place to stay. It was walking distance from Palm beach restaurants and shops, and a short drive to Eagle Beach. The facility was clean. The rooms were well maintained and large. The food was good and there were a lot of options. Pools were clean, and the beach was beautiful. Loved that the beach was so close. This was our first trip to Aruba, and when we go back, we will definitely look at this facility again for our stay. Only thing missing was a casino, but there were SO many within walking distance that it wasn't a deal breaker.

The property has the best beach and grounds, and the friendliest staff but many things are dated and broken at the resort. They are renovating but I am sure it will take a long time

Quiet hotel at the start of the high rise section. Great beach area, multiple pools with a swim up bar and plenty of chairs (traveled in May). Dining options were good and convenient but we mostly walked the 15 minutes down the road to the strip of restaurants. If you're looking for a lively, party resort, this isn't it, but if you want a laid back beach vacation, book it.

Stayed in a one bedroom in the beach tower overlooking the pool and ocean. Amazing view. Room had a washer/dryer, dishwasher and full kitchen (no oven), but stove, blender, toaster, microwave and fridge with ice maker. Construction noise was minimal. Taxi to the middle of the strip totally worth it at $7 a ride. Get up early for a pool palapa. However there are plenty at the beach. You can BBQ food which is nice option.

This was are 4th stay here I would say it has changed since our last stay. Staff was not very friendly when we had an issue spoke the concierge never got a response back. The spa is under construction and closed went to neighbor resort as instructed by staff had poor service. Had to call each time for a taxi at times waited as long as 30 minutes without others even waiting. Food service was slow and food was average.

The hotel was nice and very clean, and the staff did an amazing job keeping up with messy guests. The only reason I rated this hotel 3 stars instead of 4 is that our room, although spacious and accommodating, had a strong mold smell. This odor significantly impacted our stay each time we entered the room. I contacted the front desk, and they provided a dehumidifier, but it wasn't sufficient to eliminate the smell. My husband had to empty the dehumidifier several times during our stay. We informed the front desk about the ongoing issue, and they said they would talk to a manager, but nothing was done afterward. While the room was nice and housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning, maintenance responded promptly to fix a minor toilet clog, and address issues with the TV and microwave, the persistent mold smell needs to be resolved. The hotel has great potential, but it must address this odor issue to truly enhance the guest experience.

The Phoenix doesn't disappoint. Our room had just been refitted and was spotless. The staff is always there to help.

Good location in the high rise hotel section. Near the end so a bit of a walk to the restaurants. Nice and quiet beach. Rooms a bit outdated and pool was dirty at times. Several tiles surrounding pool were racked and unsightly. Employees were nice and food was good.

Not sure we would come back to this property. Per the directions on our Expedia booking we called a week in advance and spoke to the “Reservations Manager”. Our booking confirmation said we were in a Beach Tower and after reading reviews I wanted to know which one as I had read negative reviews about some of the towers. They assured me we were in a tower that had been renovated and we had a nice room. Despite this, we were not in a renovated room and the lady at the front desk was rude and condescending. We stayed in room 764. It was much bigger than we anticipated! However, the smell of mildew/mold was overwhelming. The room was clean but in poor condition. For example, the bathtub was coming apart, there are cracked tiles on the balcony and the mattress springs were broken (I will attach picture if I can!) We did not ask to change rooms as we did not want go through that hassle after a 13 hour day of travel. The beach beautiful and overall the property had good vibes. As other reviews mentioned, you need to get up early 6/6:30 a.m. to get a palapa. Some days we went down closer to 5:30 and many were already “reserved”. It was impossible to get one in the “front row”. We learned that some people come down late at night and put their stuff down. The timeshare owners had deal with the staff member who distributes the chairs and he would reserve them spots. We witnessed this first hand. Our room was perfect for our family.had a small kitchen, washer and dryer, and sofa bed. I didn’t like that it is an older hotel, and not renovated. Beach access is great.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom beach tower. The beach tower is the newer section and it was great ! Clean, spacious, full kitchen, jacuzzi, 2 bathrooms, balcony. Would definitely stay there again

Our only complaint is that the bed is rock hard! They need to change the beds to a plush type of bed. We had 3 comforters put underneath our fitted sheet to try and cushion the bed but it was still extremely hard. We didnt sleep at all unfortunately. But other than that we had a great time!

Our room was very spacious. It had a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, and an amazing view. It was clean when we arrived and they cleaned it everyday during our stay. We were in walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops and the resort had its own beach front access. This was our second stay at the Divi Phoenix and we definitely will be back.

Check in was a breeze. Theybwere doing construction but it did not impact us. The gift shop was VERY pricey. But that also doesnt make me want to leave a bad review. What i didnt enjoy was property did.not.follow theough with people reserving pool loungers. There arent many to begin with and when entitled guests think they can leave their stuff without a care in the world. We have balcony over looking the pool and enjoyed our loungers up on the balcony but watching all the empty "reserved" chairs with towels on them, was very annoying. There is a no reaerve policy and no one cared. Suxkedwhen we wanted to swim. Also the wave shack was not good and the staff needs.training. the cross contamination made me not want to eat there after ordering our food. No we did not say anything. We just didnt eat there again. Overall, will stay there again once renovations are finished. Our room, the mattress felt like an old school sprin matress on wood slats that creaked everytime we moved, waking us up nightly.

Staff was excellent. Great location. Beautiful beach and great onsite food options. Nice to have a mini mart and small boutique onsite. Easy to get taxis. We had the non-updated 1 bedroom suite. Good size and beautiful views. Nice to have the kitchen. Lots of closets. Only issues: sofa bed not comfortable to sleep on, construction next door made it kind of dangerous to walk down to off-site restaurants at night - have to walk at edge of road, and constant wind blowing against sliding balcony doors made creaking noises all night (even when fully closed). King bed was super comfortable. Super soaking tub with jets - nice for baths, a little hard to get in and out of. Wish that bathroom had better lighting and more areas to dry swimsuits for family of 4. Also, swim up bar was so cool. And, they have a nice grilling area next to pools, with tables to "picnic". Overall, really enjoyed staying at the Divi Phoenix. I have a lot of wonderful family memories to keep.

We stayed at the Divi Phoenix in room 833 on June 24th-29th. We have been coming to Aruba yearly and decided to try a new resort. I wanted to love this place because the grounds were beautiful but we will never stay here again. First day we were there we had to wait to check in because our flight got in early… understandable however the bathrooms were out of order and when my husband asked to use the bathroom they told him they only had bathrooms for females? Odd. First red flag. When we got to the room it REEKED LIKE MOLD. It was so pungent it was hard to breathe. We asked front desk for another room, they said they would get back to us never did. Next day I went to go to the gym, that was closed until further notice. Bummer. The bathroom showers were beautiful but set up weird so water would shoot everywhere on the floor. The drain covers were loose. The kitchen drawers were hard to open. It seems like the whole place needs a full renovation. Our washer/dryer in unit wasn’t working we called front desk multiple times to look at it. We had one person come once to look and he “reset the code” but still didn’t work. Front desk didn’t do anything for us. At the end of the day we go to Aruba for the beautiful island not to stay in the room so we made the best of it. We felt like the staff had an opportunity to make our stay better but was let down by their lack of follow through. We did love the pools, free palapas with beach set ups. The beach staff and servers were excellent

Front desk staff not very friendly when we checked in, didn’t offer anything even after mentioning the VIP upgrade. The concierge staff was nice and made sure we received the VIP perks, we got the wine which is part of the upgrade next day. The manager was helpful as well. The hot tub where we stayed at didnt work, no cold water, only hot water. Food overall was really good, deli staff was sort of rude & rushing people when placing coffee orders.

Staff was super friendly. Dino, and Jay-ar at the bar were the best.

We always love staying at the Phoenix! The staff is amazing. Wendy at the front desk had such a helpful kind personality and Pearl the manager leads the team well. The pools and grounds are well taken care of. This was our 19th trip to the Phoenix and 25th to Aruba. You won’t regret a stay here.

We celebrated my birthday in Jan 2024 and it was the best birthday ever! High rise gives you beautiful views of the magnificent sunsets and ocean! Located right on beach. Everywhere property was clean & well maintained. We were in a newly renovated building and our was fantastic! Bus stops in front of property making it easy to go downtown and onsite parking too. Great food onsite! Great staff! Staff and concierge attend to your every need. Quiet, calm property. If you want more action, another area is a good walk away for more restaurants and casinos. But we stayed on the property most of our time there. We would definitely stay here again! Can’t wait to get back!

This must have been our 9th or 10th time at the Divi Phoenix and we love it there. The staff is wonderful and the resort is just beautiful.

Front desk employees extremely rude and unhelpful.

Check in bad, elevators not working, house keeping did not supply us with kitchen supplies and not refill Shampoo and conditioner. Needed to ask for supplies. Did not receive welcome gift until 2 days later. When I went to pick up gift they ran out of supplies. No music by pool. Aerobic's class by the pool was scheduled for 11:30 and no instructor showed up and resort did not notify their guests that were waiting.

This property was perfectly situated to be able to walk to local restaurants and shops without being right in the middle of it. Being right on Palm Beach allowed us to walk back and forth between the pool and the beach. Beautiful resort.

Great property, very clean, with a very friendly helpful staff. Parking was not cost and easy to access. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. The beach front and the views were perfect. Divi Aruba Phoenix is in a great location, close to the strip, Super Market and all beaches. I would stay here again!

If I return to Aruba.. I will likely stay at Divi Phoenix again. It was kinda perfect. Walking to restraints and nightlife. Great pools. Great beach. Didn’t have to ever fight for a chair. Room was great. Only nitpick.. the washer/dryer in room is not worth using…don’t plan on that. But other than that.. dive phoenix lived up to our expectations. And we did recon on the other high rise hotels in area…still glad we picked ours.

Property had everything you would want in a relaxing quiet vacation. Friendly staff, great pool and beach, not overcrowded, close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants but far enough away that it is a little quieter and more spread out.

This was our second stay and I can’t say enough good things. We were steps from the beach. The view of the sunset was spectacular.We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do. The food was outstanding and staff was friendly and super accommodating.

The staff was friendly. The property was nice and clean. The menu of the restaurants was very limited. The room was nice.

Food was mediocre at best, staff was not well organized and as a result everything was exceptionally long. It was impossible to get coffee in the morning. At one of the restaurants we arrived at 8 for dinner, and the food came after 10 - and they were not nearly full, plus drinks had to be flagged down. Very disappointing experience overall.

Divi Phoenix is my Aruba home away from home. It's family friendly, the staff is friendly and accommodating, it's a short walk to shopping and restaurants and other hotels. Pure Beach's quality of food has improved greatly and is reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back.

The pool bar staff was great. Dino and Simone really took care of the people. Dino was also great with recommendations.

Location to beautiful beach is great. Cabanas great. Room needed updates and beds were uncomfortable. AC worked but was noisy. Room smelled musty and we discovered mold in the closet, but staff came to clean it promptly. Tub cracked and poor condition. Nice kitchen with full-sized fridge and stocked kitchen pots, dishes, etc. Great and helpful staff were very friendly. Food onsite overpriced and poor quality.

I thought it was a pretty nice property but not on a par with hotels that I had stayed at in Aruba. The breakfast and lunch selections were limited. The restaurant/bar was very noisy. There was no ability to reserve palapas so it was a 4:30AM trip to stake claim to a palapa in anticipation of them taking reservations around 7. I would go to Pure Ocean Restaurant again for dinner. Food and service was great. Quiet guitar duo were great. Nice to eat dinner on the sand and watch the sunset. So....a mixed bag.
