Place is new so, the grounds are beautiful & well kept -Staff was extremely friendly and catering -I recommend adding the all you can eat buffet breakfast (which comes with unlimited mimosas) to your stay. It was delicious with a wide variety of food. Omelettes, and French toast made fresh. It was a great way to get the day started without having to leave the resort. -The massage (which we got for free for sitting in on a short presentation about Iberostar), was phenomenal. Use of spa for the. - they provided you with his and her slides to keep, and a beach bag and beach towels you can use daily and purchase at the end of your stay if you want. The slides were cute and comfy and a nice touch. -Jacuzzi on the balcony was very nice and the balcony was a nice size. - it was nice that there was always a taxi waiting near the lobby area to take you anywhere you want to go. If there wasn’t one there, the staff would call, and they would come quick. - the diffuser scent in the hallway is great -there is a very small fridge in the room which was nice. You can fill with your own items. Cons: -Elevator stopped working for days -Damp smell in room -No daily activities. Have to pay. Even for yoga -No real nightlife -Turndown service went downhill more n more each night. One night the didn’t do it at all Overall, I would stay again. Amazing hotel. Usually I stay at Manchebo beach but this time, I stayed at Joia! Wow, great great amenities. The pools, bar service, the views, the beach, the free sunscreen they have at the beach, towel service, great great food quality!! The food was great, nice variations, great options, and everything was too-notch! The room was huge. Comfortable beds. Loved the jacuzzi in the balcony. Loved that I asked the DJ to play songs and we danced by the pool. The hospitality service is welcoming and superb. I will def go back again! Breakfast buffet is great. Mary Rose was our host and she was super nice. The coffee tastes good. We tried the Italian restaurant too. We tried the food at the pool at night. Great option if you want to eat light. I never had to leave the hotel tbh!

We even had one night that we had a hard time getting anyone to bring us towels since the room wasn't cleaned that day. Overall, the stay was great. I would stay here again. I now know the steps to take to ensure things are done. Having a rental car is great. The resort has a valet that will bring you your car and park it at no charge (tipping appreciated). The cost of drinks is extremely high at the resort. $10 for a beer that costs <$2 at the store. Buy them at the Super Food and bring them from your room. The service at the beach is lacking. Don't expect fast service down there. If you have a butler, use them instead. Otherwise, you're going to have to deal with slow waits, cold food, and warm drinks. On occasion it is faster. That is more rare.

This is a great property but still under construction and some service issues to work through. Friendly staff but seemed unsure of what they should be doing. Some construction noise in the middle of the night as well as random fire alarms in the middle of the night. Beautiful resort and great location. Hot tubs by the pools weren’t working and the hot water in the room would get really hot randomly…hot water issues.

The view and the swim up room were amazing. The property however needed a few adjustments. The steep stairs from the infinity pool to the restaurant needs lights and rails..because it rains frequently the stairs were extra slippery and we had nothing to hold on to. The rooms fire alarm also went off at the most inconvenient times of the night for no reason. The restaurant near the beach with the ice cream shop also needed a few minor touches. The chips and plantain were stale and hard. The quesadillas had marinera sauce which is strange way to prepare a quesadilla. We were unable to get ice cream because the cones were stale and it took longer than 5 min to get new ones. The view of Eagle beach was the best part of the trip. The staff were also very friendly. Rene, Tyrone, Rich, JenJen were all very very accommodating.

The room and property brand new Service is good But there are things that didnt made this 5 stars vacation For example, i set the sign to clean the room at 8 am and it wasnt cleaned till 15 when i called them several times to clean the room Another example is that we didnt had wifi for 1 day And there is no bellmen service until 7 am , so if you need to leave eraly, then you should be the bellmen which isnt expected in 5 stars

Joia at Iberostar Aruba was one of the worst “luxury” resort experiences I’ve ever had. While there were a few kind and professional staff members—the bellmen were incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting us with luggage and promptly getting us taxis whenever needed, and the front desk personnel were polite and welcoming—unfortunately, the rest of the experience was a disaster. The service at the restaurants and bars was appalling. Staff often stood around doing nothing, rarely approached our table, and made no effort to see if we needed anything. At breakfast, we were rushed out every morning - a plate was taken out of my hand when I told waitress I wasn’t done repeatedly. Staff was constantly hovering over us like we were in the way. It was uncomfortable and rude. Beach and poolside service was just as bad. We were ignored while waiters passed us multiple times to serve other guests. It took forever to get a drink, and we often gave up entirely. At the rooftop bar, we asked if we could order food from the downstairs restaurant and were told no—we had to order it ourselves and go pick it up. Meanwhile, our neighbors by the pool were getting full service and had the exact same food delivered to them. The double standard was blatant and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the drinks were a complete rip-off. They were expensive, weak, and clearly watered down—I had several and didn’t feel the slightest buzz. It’s obvious they’

The staff were amazing here!! Everyone was so eager to please and very kind. They made you feel like you belong there. I mentioned it was my boyfriend’s birthday briefly and they made sure he felt celebrated and special! The poolside bartender Roney was so welcoming and made the best drinks. Everyone else from housekeeping, servers, cafe staff, to front desk had superior service. That is rare these days let me tell you! The pools were great and the quick cross of the road to the pristine beach was incredible. The complimentary beach chairs, the filtered water stations and free sunscreen were all very thoughtful perks. The location of the hotel is in a great area in Eagle beach. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the “strip” in the Palm beach area, but close enough to take a quick cab or rent the electric scooters that were easily accessible on the beach sidewalks and streets. I had an amazing stay here and would certainly recommend to anyone going to Aruba! We would love to come back! Thank you to all the staff!

Very nice new hotel with a lot of potential. But the there are still many problems, such as leaking sink, not flushing toilet, air conditioning stop working, etc. all can be explained and excused as the building is only a few months old. However, the management is ineffective and inept. They don’t know how to manage problems properly. Calling the front desk from the room took over 20 minutes and eventually gave up and walked to the lobby, which is quite a distance and annoyance. Complaining to anyone including the manager is a waste of time. They either don’t care or not capable. Most of the staff is very nice and welcoming with a smile, especially the umbrella guys that work on the bench. But at the end of the day you feel like better management could significantly improve your overall experience. Will try a different hotel next time. It’s unfortunate because the building and rooms are very nice.

This property has everything you need for an amazing getaway in Aruba. Located on Eagle Beach, it’s not too busy. There’s tons of beach chairs provided by the hotel and the staff on the beach make you feel safe leaving your belongings there while you go in the water. I’d recommend exploring restaurants close by and on Palm Beach as there’s tons of options. The food options at this resort were also incredible. We will definitely be back!!

It's a new hotel and the rooms were clean and the maids were very polite, Overpriced!! Hotel drinks very expensive restaurants we're not that good only two restaurants available! The best part was Eagle Beach There's nothing around the hotel it's very secluded it's a very boring Hotel! For a five-star hotel the Texi service representing the hotel was very rude big issue when wanted to go to Palm Beach!! Try to contact management three days ago and no response!! I will never go back to this hotel!!

I cannot say enough positive things about this resort. the staff was very accommodating, and the rooms and entire facility were beautiful. We were very pampered from the time we stepped into the hotel until we checked out. The hotel was a mile or two off the beaten path but we enjoyed not feeling too crowded in. Taxis were everywhere and usually a 10-12$ fee to nightlife, shopping, or airport. We would 100% return to the Joia for our next visit.

The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and always available to help. The breakfast was amazing and Bucatini Market & Cubans dinner was fantastic. What I liked is that it's near Eagle beach, the standard room we had was clean, new and modern, self parking was safe and quiet neighborhood. The minor complaints I had were the Spa amenities are pretty expensive, it would be nice if they lower the prices to reasonable amount to cater to their guests rather than overpricing the Spa. Beautiful, modern, luxury feel hotel with astonishing views and access to one of the best beaches of the world. Food quality and selection were great. This is the perfect spot for sophisticated relaxation.

Not bad, but definitely not 5 star. There are much better choices for the price. Pros: 1 new hotel, very clean. Beautiful lobby and comfortable rooms. 2 location. Hotel is on eagle beach, although it’s not actually on the beach (see cons). Cons: 1 Dining experience was bad. Food and drinks were priced similar to top hotels but quality was much lower. Choices/selection is limited and poor. 2 location- it’s across the street from the beach. And it’s a bit of a walk from the rooms. There are many other hotels that are directly on the water and this creates a much better more relaxed feel and better ambience, where you can walk from your room right onto the beach. Iberostar also has no beach restaurant/bar, and no beach cabanas. Generally the layout of the hotel exacerbates this and creates an impersonal and stark feel. 3 service. Service is often slow…meanwhile it’s not uncommon to see the staff all hanging out together. 4 hours: pool closes ant 600 pm. Ridiculously early, especially since this is right after the wind tends to die down on Aruba. Worse: they take away the beach chairs before sunset: so if you want to watch sunset, you’ll be doing it from the sand. I would not stay at iberostar again unless it was part of a super cheap package…and honestly it’s a joke to call this place a 5 star hotel.

It's a new hotel and the rooms were clean and the maids were very polite, Overpriced!! Hotel drinks very expensive restaurants we're not that good only two restaurants available! The best part was Eagle Beach There's nothing around the hotel it's very secluded it's a very boring Hotel! For a five-star hotel the Texi service representing the hotel was very rude big issue when wanted to go to Palm Beach!! Try to contact management three days ago and no response!! I will never go back to this hotel!!

Beautiful new resort, top notch. Food and restaurants were so delicious. The most friendly, helpful staff you’ll ever meet. Made the stay so much more beautiful. The beach is a little weird bc it’s across the street and you have to cross over traffic. Not a deal breaker though, just a different feel from the traditional “beach resort” feel. The most comfortable beach/pool/lobby seats we’ve ever felt. The smell of the resort, amazing! We want the smell for home. Highly recommend!! Get the banana crème brûlée, you won’t be disappointed.!

Amazing hotel. Usually I stay at Manchebo beach but this time, I stayed at Joia! Wow, great great amenities. The pools, bar service, the views, the beach, the free sunscreen they have at the beach, towel service, great great food quality!! The food was great, nice variations, great options, and everything was too-notch! The room was huge. Comfortable beds. Loved the jacuzzi in the balcony. Loved that I asked the DJ to play songs and we danced by the pool. The hospitality service is welcoming and superb. I will def go back again! Breakfast buffet is great. Mary Rose was our host and she was super nice. The coffee tastes good. We tried the Italian restaurant too. We tried the food at the pool at night. Great option if you want to eat light. I never had to leave the hotel tbh!

What I liked is that it's near Eagle beach, the standard room we had was clean, new and modern, self parking was safe and quiet neighborhood. The minor complaints I had were the Spa amenities are pretty expensive, it would be nice if they lower the prices to reasonable amount to cater to their guests rather than overpricing the Spa. Another thing is the breakfast buffet's costs are a bit pricey for us. Again, please make it reasonable cost that fits the value of the services or qmenities. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

The cleaning of the room was perfect on day 1. After that, it dropped off and we had to call for cleaning services regularly. We even had one night that we had a hard time getting anyone to bring us towels since the room wasn't cleaned that day. Overall, the stay was great. I would stay here again. I now know the steps to take to ensure things are done. Having a rental car is great. The resort has a valet that will bring you your car and park it at no charge (tipping appreciated). The cost of drinks is extremely high at the resort. $10 for a beer that costs <$2 at the store. Buy them at the Super Food and bring them from your room. The service at the beach is lacking. Don't expect fast service down there. If you have a butler, use them instead. Otherwise, you're going to have to deal with slow waits, cold food, and warm drinks. On occasion it is faster. That is more rare.

Brand new property still in ramping up state but with extremely courteous and efficient staff. Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. Excellent food served at both restaurants. Great buffet breakfast too

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days, and overall it was a beautiful property with a lot of potential, but I think there are some areas that could be improved. First, the air conditioning in the elevators and lobby areas near the elevators needs attention—it was very weak and made waiting around uncomfortable in the Aruba heat. Second, the music situation could use variety. Both the bar (Zuma) and the pool were playing the same songs on repeat every day. It would make a big difference if the hotel invested in something as simple as a Spotify account to rotate playlists. Also, the live performances/DJs wrapped up around 10–11 pm, which felt a little early. It would be nice if at least on weekends the entertainment went later for guests who want to enjoy the nightlife atmosphere. As for the food, it’s definitely on the expensive side, which I expected, but if you’re charging premium prices, every dish should feel worth it. Some menu items were really good, while others needed more work this was true across the different restaurants in the hotel. All in all, the hotel is gorgeous and has great amenities, but small adjustments in comfort, entertainment, and consistency in dining would make the experience so much better.
