I would definitely recommend getting an executive room. The rooms themselves are renovated and there's some nice perks that come with it including a daily small allowance for laundry. We made use of the workout facilities quite often, though the basketball court was closed at the time. If you go for swimming at the pool, be sure to bring a swim cap (required) They had a nice small dedicated cafeteria on the same (top) floor with a nice selection of pastries, hot food (fried rice, noodles, congee, proteins, and veggies), cold dishes (sushi, salami, etc), fruit, and drinks (available at various times during the day). We found ourselves preferring this place during breakfast instead of the main dining area on the 3rd floor since it was so close (though the 3rd floor does have more options). At the end of the day, we usually stopped by for some fruit and drinks before heading back to the room. Or if we had a huge lunch, we would have a little bit of the hot food available as well. The staff on the executive floor (cao mengdi and all her coworkers) were really nice and helpful - either helping the kid grab his food, offering warm milk, and packing cookies and such for our departure flight. We were also able to checkout with the staff on the same floor without needing to go to the main floor and wait in line. They even offered to call the taxi and gave great feedback on when we needed to leave for the airport. Would definitely book with them again.

Hotel was in a very good location with easy assess to the main shopping area and many restaurants. I found the staff extremely polite/helpful and the hotel was very clean. Parts of the hotel were being refurbished during our visit (bar and restaurant) but it didn’t impact on our stay. The breakfast was served from 6-10pm and had plenty of options Asian and Western cuisines.

Overall, great experience and good rooms. The staff was extremely responsive to our needs and requests. However, the AC was disabled in preparation for the winter season, and our room reached 80F and they could only offer fans or cancellation of our booking. We had to sleep with the windows open for a few nights. It was later resolved, quietly and perhaps they had enough complaints that the AC system was turned back on. Please note as of October 2025, the hotel is under heavy renovation so make sure to inquire about amenities and services that could be impacted.

The hotel is under renovations therefore many amenities are not available. Also, due to the renovations, it requires guest to take a flight of escalators before reaching the elevators. This is not friendly to those families with strollers/kids or the disabled. There is no other way around this…which I find totally unacceptable. Otherwise hotel is in a great location and staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are average size and clean. The gym and pool are only opened for limited hours.

I had a very comfortable stay, after I moved rooms. The first night I arrived, I was put in a room that smelled of cigarette smoke, even though there were No Smoking signs posted in the room. I asked to move rooms the next morning and they put me in a very similar room without the smell of cigarette smoke. The hotel is older but it is well maintained and very convenient for tourists.

Nice area, very close to shopping street Wangfujing Room was too hot in the beginning, and Aircon could not turn on lower temperature as it was winter. My stay at Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Beijing Wangfujing was great. The location is excellent and very convenient. Both the check-in and check-out processes were fast, and the concierge service was very good. The room was clean, and the soundproofing was also very good. The only area that could be improved is the heating. The room heating was not warm enough, and there was no heating in the bathroom. It would be even better if these facilities could be upgraded, especially during cold weather.

Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Beijing is a great option - NOT to be confused with Sunworld Hotel (which is just next door, don’t do what we did and try to check in there if you’ve booked at Sunworld Dynasty) The staff, especially the doorman and bell hop were really friendly and always happy to help. The rooms were clean and spacious. Very comfortable and quiet, we didn’t hear any traffic noise or other guests coming in and out. I think they may have just renovated some floors as our floor always had a bit of a chemical smell, especially in the lift area but it was fine. The layout is a little weird as the hotel entrance and lobby are set on a completely different floor to the lifts which take you to the rooms, so coming and going is a little bit of a trek. We had breakfast included in the rate, good selection of eastern and western food, the Chinese options were definitely better as you would expect for a hotel in China. Location is great, right outside the major shopping areas with plenty of eating options. If you venture into the local neighbourhoods you’ll even find some great eateries that are embarrassingly cheap. There’s a metro stop a very short walk away so getting out to explore other areas is easy. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we are back in Beijing.

This was our third time in Beijing. We have stayed at Hilton wangfujin before. We thought we try something different this time. I couldn't possibly talk more positively about this hotel and its Team. This was our third trip to China (from Australia). The team at this hotel are just beyond incredible and put Hilton team to shame! Robin from the front desk! Thank you for an incredible stay. From now on, anytime we visit Beijing, there's only one place to stay at! We had a great time. The location is excellent. The team is excellent. The rooms are so well thought and planned out that I could go as far as saying that it was the best hotel room we have stayed at (and we have stayed at over 100 hotels) All round a 5* stay! Thank you!

Väldigt bekvämt rum med kingsize bed och fräscht badrum. Hotellet är extremt stort och ligger relativt nära förbjudna staden men också en del bra restauranger. Hjälpsam reception där vi även bokade in en driver som tog oss till The great wall of china och tillbaka till hotellet.

We were pleasantly surprised, the property but more importantly the staff were amazing. We booked a club room, Luna and Andrew in particular has made our stay amazing, so relaxed and so friendly. They have tried the best to accommodate our requirements and has help us feeling comfortable and enjoying our stay. Thank you Luna and Andrew and all the staff. We have been coming to Beijing for 15 years and staying in different hotels .. this stay was definitely one of the best! Truly recommended from 2 Australian travellers.

I will say that if you’re expecting a 5 star hotel like the states, you’re in for a surprise. The lobby and outside is currently undergoing construction and the lobby just feels a bit drab. HOWEVER, the room is quite new and it’s very comfortable. In addition, the staff is EXCELLENT. They assisted me with weighing my bags, packing it up, and even bringing it up and down to my room. I would say I feel like I’ve gotten better service here than some of the traditional 5star Hiltons or Marriott’s. It’s also an excellent location - with line 5 and line 8 nearby. There’s a bunch of shopping and food at Wangfujing and it’s all walkable. Definitely would recommend!

Eso no lo he visto yo en ningún sitio. La reserva la hice con unos seis meses de antelación, y envié mail al hotel en varias ocasiones preguntando cómo eran las camas dado que éramos tres adultos y en comentarios había leído que esto le había pasado a más de un cliente. The property is most convenient, is 5 minutes walking distance to metro line no"8, and the pedestrian shopping street is just 2 minutes away, check in was very smooth, we arrived at the hotel bit early then our check in time, but with out any problems they just check us in, so we can go and about to explore the area. The staff at the hotel is so professional every thing explaining slowly and clearly. If anyone are looking at this hotel I do recommend just paying a little bit more and chose the executive room. To my surprise at the executive floor you get breakfast, afternoon tea, evening happy hours are all included in the price. If one comes back from tours and tried and not going out then just get food and drink relaxed at the executive lounge. The staff at the lounge will welcome you once you appears. The hotels main breakfast restaurant currently is under refurbishment, the restaurant we are using at the moment is temporary but still with lots of choices, once the main restaurant is back on for service I am sure the veriety will more. If anyone travel to Beijing this is a hotel you must check it out.

The location of the Sunworld Dynasty hotel was brilliant, it was only 15 minutes walk to the east wall of the Forbidden city and 25 minutes walk to the main entrance to the forbidden city. The traffic around the Forbidden City is horrendous so being able to walk was nice and relaxing. On the street corner people were doing keep fit dancing on the wide pavement and stalls were on the closed road. The hotel was having an entrance and bar areas refurbish but that wasn't a problem.

The service the Hotel Chinese restaurant was terrible. Our party of 9 were the only patrons (no wonder!); yet we waited 1.5 hours for a simple meal (contrary to their large poster of Peking duck, they had none) to be served. We had to ask several times for tea refills and utensils to be supplied. Though we had initially asked the hostess to bill our room, she accepted credit card from our friends, making us fight hard to obtain the bill.

I enjoyed my 8 nights stay in the hotel. The lobby looks dated. However the rooms looks like they are newly renovated. Hotel issued door card and lift card. Suggest to look into combining into 1. Part of the hotel is undergoing renovation when I was there. Guess that's why it's quiet. Breakfast buffet variety is limited and same food is served everyday. Gets really boring.

It's a nice hotel, great location, just right at Wangfujing street. Hotel offers decent breakfast selections, also offers afternoon tea snacks & happy hour snacks (no alcohol). I would stay here again. Minor issue-3rd floor to guests room area, strong smell, too strong, need to adjust less. If someone allergic, they won't be able to take it. I was on 10th floor so I didn't experience the smell but everytime walking to the elevator, the strong smell kept blasting at. I tried to message the property via expedia messaging, never got a response. I was trying to request pick up service from airport to hotel. Something hotel need to improve because guests from overseas sometime have questions or request. Check in staff was good.
